One other thing that most definitely needs to be mentioned.
I am a man who appreciates a good ol' fart joke once in a while, so when someone like me thinks that the fart joke at the beginning was unnecessary, you know it really wasn't needed. I mean, I'd expect it from Jay at the very least, not Lloyd.
I agree. In particular with the age gags and a lack of elder respect, it feels like LEGO always does that. Literally all 3 of LEGO's main shows (Not counting Bionicle or Hero Factory) have had issues. The worst of the three was likely Nexo Knights, where Macy's father was portrayed as a spineless, useless fool that literally couldn't get anything done. The queen was a bit better, but still overall not helpful. Merlok wasn't always that great, either, from what I watched. (Didn't go long.) In Ninjago, the elders are always responsible for Ninjago's issues. Wu and Garmadon's blunders have seemingly caused a thousand issues, and other long timers have not helped. (Chen, Morro, Pythor, Nadakhan, Overlord, Aspheera.) The only youthful villain was Harumi, who ultimately had a somewhat redeeming demise. (Only old villain who was redeemed was Morro.) Chima was probably the least annoying of this. While Crominus could be blamed for some problems, it was ultimately Laval and co's foolish ideas that got the true issues rolling. (Crooler corrupting Cragger, Laval creating the Crawlers, Laval and Scorm freeing the Ice Hunters.) In contrast, Lagravis was portrayed as wise, and could likely be thanked for keeping the main foes at bay long enough EVERY SEASON for the heroes to turn things around. Same for Laval's uncle.
So yeah, I agree with that age bit. LEGO has a history of doing stuff like that. I still can't figure out why.
I think you make excellent points, honestly. I can only hope that Ninjago doesn't turn into the next Star Wars with its rapidly tarnishing reputation. At least we aren't being called 'man-babies'... yet
Take the episode where the ninja broke into the Explorer's Club for example (I feel like that entire episode was completely forced).
-Why do they keep saying the 'second' Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu? One, it's not the second, it could be the first, for all we know, it's not like the First Spinjitzu Master labeled them. And two, nobody at the EC bats an eye when told there's a SECOND scroll. There's no, "Oh, there's another? We thought it was the only one! We should look into this!"
-I've never once seen Nya act as irrationally as that, she's supposed to be the one to stop Kai from doing that.
-"This is a stealth mission, no weapons," or whatever Lloyd said, since when has that ever been a thing? The ninja have done stealth missions before and kept their weapons, that's not an issue here.
-The method they used to drop down the vent, did they expect that was actually going to work? Please, they can't be that dumb. A small piece of Ice is not enough to hold even one person's weight, let alone multiple.
-That relic that sucked everything into it (can't remember the name, which is another thing that I will get to in a sec), that was unnecessary. And never once did it cross anyone's mind that maybe they accidentally doomed the whole thing by possibly sucking in the Scroll of Forrbidden Spinjitzu.
-Also, I just don't feel like they emphasised any one of those relics enough to feel important at all. I mean, watch everything with the mirror (which was totally a reference to the Mirror of Erised from Harry Potter) never get mentioned or used as plot relevance, thus forgotten.
-Not to mention all the stereotypes about old people, that was pretty rude, not gonna lie. "Oh chap" this, and "Cheerio" that. I got one for ya, "Respect your elders".
And this is just one episode.
Yessss, I agree completely. I hope the randomly OP objects have some use but it's probably all filler. I also agree the British sterotypes are also pretty annoying.

If you can be clever with a fart joke, sure - but, man, this is not their place.

So Sensei Garmadon's probably one of Lego's only respectable older characters.

Alongside Wu when they aren't doing backstory, as well as Laval's father and uncle.

To be honest, yeah. Although I think it’s most manifested in this particular episode of Ninjago, I’ve noticed that they seem to have been doing that for a long time. It’s getting a little old (edit: this was not a pun).
I pretty much agree with everything said here, so I don't really have anything original to say, except that despite my opinion of the latest season, I'm throwing no hate at the writers/producers--in fact, good on them for getting Ninjago to live this long for us fans to enjoy. That's not an easy thing for a TV show to do.

Yes of course, I’m sure none of us aren’t hating on Tommy Andreasen, or anyone working on this beloved show. To be honest, I don’t think any of us were expecting Ninjago to come this far when it first came out, but it did all the same, and I have to congratulate them for being able to do that. I guess it’s just good things can’t last forever..

Yeah. . . it was a good run while it lasted. It'll always be a special period in LEGO history for fans.

> was supposed to have two seasons > season 12 is currently in production I don't think anybody saw it coming.
