Azril leans back against a rock, staring off into the distance.
The sun has risen by this time, making its way slowly into the sky and casting the mountains in long, sharp shadows. From behind, he hears the soft sound of Maicyn's breathing.

When Azril wakes up, he wonders for a moment if he slept at all, since the light level seems to be the same, but he soon realizes it is in fact evening and the sun has now begun to set. Hearing sounds behind him, he turns to see Maicyn preparing a meal while she pets Robin.

"Yeah, enough. Let's rest through the night and start again tomorrow morning."
"I guess not." Maicyn is quiet after that and she soon falls asleep.
They awaken early in the morning and hit the road as soon as they are packed up. The weather is clear, but Maicyn's cough has returned.
Azril tries to keep the pace quick, but often he has to force himself to slow down for Maicyn.
She tries to tell him not to go easy on her account, but it is clear that she doesn't really mean it. Towards the end of the day, they reach a clearing where there they find the long-burned remains of a destroyed building. It seems that this place has been abandoned for years, probably decades, based on the proliferation of plants.

"Whoa..." Azril slows at the sight of the old ruins. "I wonder what this place used to be..."
