While they begin their training, Eldren says, "I have been thinking about your training regimen. It is quite demanding, perhaps more than necessary at the moment. We started late today, so we'll go to lunch, and then you'll work with Zariana after that. In the future, we should start after breakfast as before. But I will recommend that you not begin your combat training until after lunch so that you may be free during the later part of the morning. Perhaps there is some worthwhile pursuit you may occupy yourself with then?"
"I guess so--I could certainly find one easily enough, I think."
"I'm sure you could. Personally, I find the most rewarding experiences to be those in which one has an opportunity to help others. Just something to keep in mind."

He stiffens at that. Tentatively, he asks, "But-- what if someone who needs help doesn't want it? What do you do then?"

"Then they probably need it even more. I would, perhaps, make sure they did not forget I was willing. And if I could help them anyway, without being too obtrusive, I would."

"How do I do that? I mean--" He gestures aimlessly. "--it's one thing to continuing helping out a person who needs it, but when do you know you're going to far? Where's the line in that?"

"It takes patience, and it takes care. If you know this person well enough, the line will become clear. If not, don't give up. And sometimes all it takes is being there."

"Hm... all right," he murmurs, lost in thought.
Azril continues going through his training for the day, working with Eldren until lunch. He does not see Maicyn there. Then he practices with Zariana before taking lessons with Dernis. After dinner, at which Maicyn is still absent, he goes to the forge. This time, he is given a slightly more difficult task as his skills are slowly assessed.

He works hard all day, though is a little more distracted by his own thoughts than usual. Nonetheless he tackles the task in the forge head-on and does the best he can.

As night sets on, Obsȃr compliments him on his hard work and sends him on his way. Is there anything else Azril would like to do tonight?

He requests a small piece of metal from Obsâr, one smaller than the palm of his hand, and asks if he can use the forge briefly for a few minutes.

Obsȃr rummages through some boxes and pulls out a piece. "Very well. What do you have in mind?"
"Oh... nothing special. Just thought I'd try my hand at making a little piece," Azril replies, acting casual. "Y'know, for attaching the piece of a cloak together or something."

"Thank you, sir." He flashes him a tired smile. "Much appreciated."
