Chapter 15
You re-equip your helmet and boots, and dive into the water again. As you cannot break blocks properly due to your fatigue, you take the only visible entrance instead. Every time you get close to running out of air, you fill an empty bucket with water, creating a single block of air around your head. It is replaced by more water immediately after, but the one split second of air is all you need for another minute or so. You then empty the bucket, and repeat this process as many times as is necessary. However, drowning is not the only threat. Smaller, blueish-green versions of the large pufferfish-like monster patrol the monument, firing their eye lasers at you if they spot you. You usually manage to sneak by them, but occasionally you are forced to fight them off with your iron sword (as your diamond one is still in the chest on the mountain).
Eventually, upon swimming upward through a passage, you encounter the pufferfish-like creature itself. Easily several times the size of the other creatures, it stares at you for several moments before firing a laser at you. You attempt to dodge it, but it locks onto you. You suddenly experience another flare of determination, overcome the fatigue, destroy several blocks of the roof, and get out of there. You get out of the water, and swim back up onto the mountain. However, you are still unsafe -- the creature floats through the hole to the surface of the water, and fires it laser at you again. You equip your iron chestplate and leggings, as well as your diamond sword and pickaxe, and then duel the creature. You try to stay over fifteen blocks away from it, darting in to attack it, then darting out again. After several rounds of this, the creature extends its spikes, attempting to stick you. You jump off a high point on the mountain at it, swing your sword, and land a critical hit. The creature emits an odd gurgling noise, and then smashes. You win two prismarine shards, one unit of prismarine crystals, and one sponge. You already have several shards and crystals from the other creatures, which you decide to name Guardians. The larger one will be called the Elder Guardian. Your third decision is to go home.

Sorry for no chapter today =(
I got sick a few days ago, so I pre-wrote chapter 16 after chapter 15, but then I accidentally deleted chapter 16 when I tried to post it, and I haven't been feeling good enough to write another =P

Chapter 16
You return to the Nether fortress, and begin your journey home. You decide to keep the portal open, in case you ever need anything from the monument. Upon reaching your house, you decide to try crafting something from Nether Quartz, a smooth white mineral you found in the Nether. You discover that four units of Nether Quartz can be turned into one block of Quartz, which can then be crafted into many things. First, you make six Quartz pillars, which you plan to place in your basement as two three block tall pillars. Next you craft six Quartz slabs, which you further craft into three chiseled Quartz blocks. You decide to have the two pillars seven blocks apart, and these in between, with a space between each chiseled Quartz block. (this is hard to explain) You place them in such a formation, and place the sponge on the leftmost chiseled Quartz block, as a sort of trophy. You decide that any other major enemies you face will have any significant spoil placed on the remaining chiseled Quartz blocks.
You realize that your basement is only half finished, and set about mining out the right large stone area. You get about halfway through, when your enchanted diamond pickaxe breaks. You stare in shock for a moment, but then realize that you have many more diamonds. You place all you have on you but three in a chest, and then head back up to your house for the two required sticks. It is only upon your partial emergence from your basement that you realize you have an unwelcome guest. Looking up at it from halfway out of your basement, it appears to be a tall, slim, black-skinned creature with purple eyes. Its eyes, to you, also seem strangely hypnotic. While your mind seems to be in a normal condition, you do not want to break eye contact, for whatever reason. You, however, do so, as it is beginning to creep you out. Immediately afterward, as you begin moving across the room to get to your chests and sticks, you hear what sounds to be a low-pitched moan overlaid with static. You turn around slowly, and find your "guest" to be gone. You turn around again, and observe the creature punching you quickly, then disappear. You draw your sword, and prepare to fight.

Chapter 17
The creature, with its mouth open very wide for whatever reason, attacks you again. Failing to keep up with its amazing speed, you retreat outside, where it is currently nighttime. Your hilltop, however, is superbly well-lit with torches, which you find that the monsters generally avoid. To your amazement, the creature teleports outside, then runs at you from far away. You again fail to block its attack, and still have yet to land an attack of your own. Gradually, you retreat further and further down the hill, until you find yourself almost in the river. You swing your sword at the creature, but find it just out of range again. You stumble backwards and fall into the river. The creature quickly moves after you, but, upon putting one of its feet in the water, screeches as if hurt, and teleports away. You float to the surface of the river, and contemplate several things. First, the creature seems to be angered by establishing, then breaking, eye contact. Second, the creature can teleport, somehow. Third, it seems to dislike water.
The creature screeches from somewhere behind you, and, fearing imminent demise, you dive back underwater. The creature is as enraged as ever, but does not touch the water again. Seeing your chance, you again rise to the surface, and begin attacking the creature from the river. It screeches harshly, but you are out of its attacking range, and it cannot move any closer. It teleports from one side of the riverbank to the other, to no avail. You eventually manage to smash it, and it drops a large, smooth, dark green orb. It seems to be a pearl of some sort, but you cannot imagine why it is this color, nor why this creature possessed it. You take it back up to your house, and get the sticks necessary to restart your briefly halted mining project. First, however, you try crafting things with the pearl. While it cannot be used for most ordinary recipes, it can be combined with the powder from the blazing rods to make a curious orb that resembles an eye. This one is seemingly equally useless, so you put it in your large chest with the rest of your things... for now. Who knows, you might need it later?

Chapter 18
After sleeping, you mine out the final quarter of your basement, and observe the results. It is almost obscenely large, and empty, aside from some chests, a crafting table, some furnaces, and your quartz trophy stands. There are also large patches of dirt, granite, diorite, and andesite, and various holes in the walls and floor where you have mined various ores. You also have roughly 30-35 diamonds, not including the ones you have made into armor, tools, and weapons. In addition to these, you have unbelievable amounts of other ores, such as iron, gold, coal, redstone, and lapis lazuli. All in all, more than one could ever reasonably need. You are, however, concerned by the presence of this new creature. You thought you knew all the hostile and unfriendly species of the world, but apparently not. You decide to stay awake tonight, and create a list of all the monsters and other hostile creatures you see. From your rooftop deck, you have counted exactly five types of creatures: zombies and skeletons, the undead; giant spiders; the tall, black-skinned creatures; and an odd green creature with four legs.
Dissatisfied, however, you return to inspecting the orb you made from the pearl and the blazing powder. You experiment with it repeatedly, but can find no use for it. In your frustration, you throw it out the window. It continues sailing far longer than you thought it would, and you look out your window after it. To your surprise, it has turned mid-flight, and landed on a far part of you hilltop. You run outside and pick it up, then throw it again. It flies away, landing on another hilltop. You pick it up and throw it into the air again, but it does not fly, and simply floats slowly down and sinks into the ground. Confused, you dig a spiral staircase downward, until you fall several blocks, and land on a larger spiral staircase made of stone bricks and stone slabs. You place down a torch, and connect the staircase to your staircase. You then explore the rest of the very large structure. Eventually, you reach a large room with several pools of lava, and a 3x3 ring of sand-colored stone in the middle, floating in the air above a lava pool.

Chapter 19
You approach the floating ring slowly, and hear a hissing noise. You look around for its source, and see a bug-like creature squirming or writhing on the floor. You attempt to look closer, only for it to jump up and bite you. You easily smash it with your enchanted diamond sword, but this causes many others to appear from inside the walls, floor, and ceiling. As you repeatedly beat them off, more appear from what appears to be a cage containing a spinning member of their species. You destroy the cage with your diamond pickaxe, leaving only the existing ones. However, there are more of these than you thought. Several appear from the sides of the central lava pool, causing its contents to spill out and engulf them. This, to be sure, endangers you as well, but you cannot help being surprised by the convenience.
After the rest of the monsters are taken care of, you remove the lava from the three pools, and replace it with water you happened to have. Next you walk up some stairs, placing you on the same level as the ring of sand-colored stone. It is not sandstone, as you first believed, but rather an indestructible material. The tops of the blocks also have bluish-green cloths on them, and a hole in the middle where something could fit. Deciding to try your luck, you place the orb that led you here into the nearest block. It makes a noise slightly akin to a bell ringing, and you find yourself unable to remove the orb. Counting the remaining empty blocks, you surmise that you will need eleven more orbs. You also surmise that this is most likely a portal, as you are apparently an expert on interdimensionality(?) now. As the night is not yet over, you exit the structure, and attempt to duel several more of the tall, black-skinned creatures. Despite smashing several, only one gives you a pearl, alerting you to the fact that this may be harder than it seemed. Nevertheless, you win another before sunrise, and, after combining them with the blazing powder, return to the structure to insert them into the, what you believe to be, portal frame. After two more bell sounds, it occurs to you to dig a staircase from here to the surface, so as to do things more easily.

Is that a zombie horse?
Also Con is in for a real treat when he finds out he hasn’t slept for a while.

Sorry about the inconsistent uploads, Minecraft is just a very beautiful game and I'm trying to find a way to express that correctly. I'll try to make a chapter sometime soon, though =D

It’s fine, I think everyone is streched a little thin with finals and stuff.

Chapter 20
You successfully reach the surface, though you are now on a different hilltop. You realize that you have no real idea where you are, look around, and see your house a few hilltops away. You draw your sword, and prepare to return there. Arrows whiz by like streaks of light. You try all that you can to stay and fight. Your life itself is suspended by a thread. But somehow, you are not dead. You reach your house and sleep there immediately. Upon waking, you reflexively move toward your basement, before remembering that it is already finished. You realize that you still have a very large amount of cobblestone taking up multiple chests, and decide to do something with it. Your first idea is to build a castle somewhere. But where? There are no flat areas near your house, except the various hilltops. Your mind wanders from the hilltops back to the stronghold, and you decide to build the castle above it, to protect it until you can gather enough pearls to fill the portal.
You choose a size and overall appearance, and set to work on it. Aside from the stone, you predict you will need several stacks of wood planks, wood logs, glass, and wool. For glass, you believe it would be best to locate a desert, and collect sand from there. For wool, you decide to take two sheep, place them in a large pen, and breed them until you can get enough wool to make flags and stuff. Finally, you believe that it would be unnecessary to make a specific tree farm for wood, as you live near a forest, and as long as you replant the trees you cut down, you can get infinite wood. Partway through building the castle's foundation, you decide to make a tower on the hilltop you found the stronghold entrance on, and decide further to make a bridge between the tower and the castle. You build the tower's foundation on aforementioned hilltop, and decide to build the tower before the rest of the castle, so as to set the standard a bit more. You build for many days and many nights, until the tower is finished. It does not have a tapering conical roof, but instead simply has crenelated parapets (?) like some medieval towers. It also has a balcony roughly above a river, facing toward your house.
