Oh, nononono, I'm OK, really! Not a real anxiety attack--I'm OK. 0.0'
Apparently you meant it... o.o
You're welcome! ^.^
Ok good, that's a relief. Just have to double check sometimes, ya know?
Yeah... I wrote it and then I was like " wait what just happened here?" O.o But I was also satisfied with it, so I just made extra sure it was family friendly and went with it.
Yeah, makes sense--sorry I scared you. xP
That was an excellent balance of edginess, I think. My reaction was a mix of "ugh, I hate this" and "wow, I love this!"

Zephyr felt someone gently waking her up. She had no idea how long she had blacked out. She opened her eyes and looked up to see a dark blue serpentine with red eyes, he wore a blue and gold bandana on his arm. He asked. "Are you ok misss? How are you?" Zephyr sat up and looked around. Other serpentine in blue and gold bandanas along with a couple human police officers were leading arrested gang members out of Sage's house. The door looked to be broken down and some serpentine were moving the table pieces out of the way. "Misss?" Asked the dark blue serpentine again. "I think so..." repiled Zephyr. "Ok good. I'm going to bring you back to the station for a quick medical examination and an interview on what happened." Said the dark blue serpentine. "Where are my friends?" Zephyr asked the serpentine. "They are at the station. They are the ones who alerted us to the situation." Zephyr got to her feet and followed the serpentine to a motorcycle that had a sidecar attached to it. Zephyr was told to sit in the sidecar and did so. The dark blue serpentine got on the motorcycle and started to drive. Zephyr guessed he must have been a serpentine poilce officer or something based on how he and the others like him acted. Eventually they stopped in front of a tall cylinder-like building that held up the ground above them. It was very grand, made out of some kind of sand colored stone and srounded by some kind of yellow glowing slime and aurora minerals. The blue and gold colors matching the bandana the dark blue serpentine wore. He parked the motorcycle on the bottom level of the building which was like a parking garage. Then they walked up some steps to the second floor.

The first room they came to was an office-like room where a young female serpentine with mostly white scales and pink eyes greeted them. "Protector Clyde, and, guest. I'm guessing you are going to waiting room three?" "Yesss." repiled the dark blue serpentine who must have been Protector Clyde. "Ok, I'll have Cuie ssent in there ssshortly." Zephyr followed Clyde down the hall and into one of the rooms. Nathan, Copic, Sage, Magenta, Slyder, Squiggle, and the android were there, their faces lit up with relief when she and Protector Clyde entered. "Zephyr! You're okay!" Said Nathan standing up from the chair he had been sitting in. Zephyr grinned slightly and replied. "Just barely." "Take a ssseat, you look exhausted dear." Said Magenta. Zephyr gladly sat down in one of the empty waiting seats. "I will be back to question you about what happened after you get a health check." Said Clyde, he then left the room. Zephyr glanced at everyone else in the room. Magenta sat with Squiggle in her lap and Slyder sitting on the floor by her feet. Sage was sitting next to Magenta with a magazine in her hands. The male android was sitting next to Sage, who glanced at Zephyr curiously. Nathan sat back down next to Copic who was looking at a device. "I must thank you for helping us escape." Said Magenta. "It would have been a too horrible a fate if my children had come to the same end as their father had..." Before Zephyr or Nathan could reply, a bright pink serpentine with a nurse's shirt on came in. She did a quick check up on Zephyr and asked if she was injured or hurt anywhere. Her neck was still sore, and she was still exhausted and bruised, but there was nothing that needed medical attention. The pink serpentine told her Clyde would be back to question her and then she left. Sage looked at Zephyr and spoke as she gestured at the android sitting next to her. "By the way, this is my friend Kinzoku, he works at Borg Tower. He was coming for a visit when Thorax and the others showed up." "Hello, it's a pleasure to meet you master of gravity." Said Kinzoku smiling. "You too." Repiled Zephyr.

Not gonna lie, it feels both bizarre but kind of fascinating seeing the Serpentine adapt to modern culture. I like how you've shown that some of them have taken up normally-human positions like being police officers and nurses even within their own city. That's a good way to show how their culture and people have grown and adapted, I think.

Thanks. Yeah it kinda seemed like that's the direction the serpentine were going for in season three, so I built off that and just thought of how the serpentine might want to have a more modern law enforcement and medical care system of their own as well. Plus a lot can change in about 30 years, so I figure any extreme advancements or changes wouldn't be too much of a stretch.

Clyde came back in and began to ask questions about the encounter with the gangs, Zephyr and the others anwsered the questions the best they could. Clyde looked surprised when they began to explain how Zephyr had used her powers to help them escape. He glanced at Zephyr as if he suddenly saw her differently after learning that fact about her. "An elemental master, huh... I'll admit, this is the first time I've met one in person." He said a bit awkwardly. A little later when Zephyr asked about Thorax, Protector Clyde claimed he didn't know much, just that more intense medical care was called in. Zephyr was still a little bit in shock from the encounter with Thorax. The idea that he may not have survived chilled her and made her sick. Clyde agreed to contact Zephyr if he found out more about Thorax that might be of concern to her. When he was done questioning he got a contact number from Sage too and told them all they could leave when they wanted and that they had cleared the house of all the gang members. Then he left. Nathan decided to explain what they had come to tell them about the pack, the asteroid, the aorura minerals, and everything that was going on. "I'd go around the city to find my other friends and aqutances to tell them this too. But I need to help my team." Said Nathan. "Can I trust you guys to spread the word around the community?" "Of course." Said Sage. "Wasn't there some thingsss you wanted to tell Nathan, Sage?" asked Magenta who still had Squiggle and Slyder clinging to her. "Yes," said Sage, " Rick has moved to an apartment in Ninjago City because he has a better paying job now." "Good for him. It's about time." Said Nathan. "Yes. Also, did you know your brother lives in Ninjago City now?" Said Sage. "No, where in the city?" Said Nathan. "I'll give you an address when we get back to the house. Which is also where I need to show you something else..." "Right, shall we head back there now than?" Asked Nathan. "Sure, I do believe we can leave now." Said Sage.

As they walked back to Sage's house Magenta was quiet and so was Slyder and Squiggle. Zephyr guessed that they were still probably a little shook. Nathan, Sage, Copic, and Kinzoku talked about things that had recently been happening in the cities. Including the agreement to add both cities to the list of communities that had agreed to have someone called Lady Laveta potentially become empress of Ninjago. "It sounds like a good plan to me." Said Kinzoku. "We haven't had a proper ruler of Ninjago for many decades. Maybe she could help stop all this gang violence." "That would be great. She could fix so many other injustices as well." Said Nathan. "I don't know..." Said Sage. "She talks peace, yes, but at what cost? They way she speaks of doing things makes me uneasy for some reason... I don't think her plans to help Ninjago are going to be good in the long run." "I don't pay attention to politics." Said Copic, "And I'm a happier human because of it!" Once they got to the house Magenta took Squiggle and Slyder upstairs while everyone else cleaned up the damage they could and pitched in to help build a temporary door. Once they were finished Sage wrote down a address and handed it to Nathan, then she took a magazine from her desk and handed it him as well. "That's your friend, isn't it?" Said Sage in a serious tone. Zephyr looked at the cover of the magazine Nathan was holding. Her jaw dropped a little when she realized what the title of the main story was: " New Master of Fire Responsible For Destruction of Small Village?" There was also some pictures of the burning village and not very clear one of someone dressed in a black and hands set ablaze. "The title says it all." Said Sage, "An anonymous source got the story and some blurred pictures and shared them to the public quickly after it was said to have happened. The press and media are eating it up. I was quick to be skeptical though before assuming anything." "How did they? There wouldn't have been a chance for anyone to take these pictures." Said Nathan. "I have few theories. But by the sounds of it it sounds like you have much more important matters to deal with." Said Sage.

"Lemme see that." Said Copic, " Oh, yeah that's my bro alright." "You best be on your way." Said Sage. "Yeah..." Said Nathan. He held out the magazine to her. "You keep it. Maybe your teacher will be interested in looking at that." Said Sage. They said goodbye to Magenta, Squiggle and Slyder upstairs. Then Sage and Kinzoku said their farewells to Nathan, Copic and Zephyr, and then they headed down the street to go back up to Ninjago City to find Nathan's brother at the address Sage had given Nathan. Zephyr still wasn't sure how they would find Gavin, but they also had to find him in the vast city.
The first thing Jadyn was aware of was faint sounds of voices he couldn't identify. His head hurt, and he couldn't force himself to move. He was aware of someone standing over him. They felt his forehead and wrist. He could barely make out the person saying. "It's up to you, but if we don't do anything I think we're going to lose him..." What felt like a few hours but what must have been a few minutes later two people helped him stand. He was able to walk himself for the most part. But the two people made sure he kept his balance. They took him through the den and into a room where they layed him down where he blacked out again. As he slowly became aware of his surroundings again he noticed his sore body and the hard surface he lay on. He opened his eyes to see a dimly lit room with stone walls. He was laying on the floor, his left sleeve was rolled up and something was sticking into his arm. He sat up and glanced at it; it was an IV. There was two beds, one was occupied by someone, the other wasn't. There was a counter with a sink and what appeared to be a doctor's table, as well as various types of medical equipment. The unoccupied bed was between Jadyn and the occupied one. The door to the room opened and a middle aged women wearing the pack uniform came in. She had gray hair with hints of brown in it, she had a serious somewhat grouchy expression on her face. She glanced down at Jadyn and said tierdly. "Ah, you're awake." She learned down, turned off the IV and swiftly removed it from Jadyn's arm.
Post by ninjagofanmam on Jun 21, 2020 23:20:41 GMT
"How long was I out?" Asked Jadyn. "I have no clue, you were asleep for a little while because I put some drugs and water in you. You just about died from dehydration." "I thought I wasn't supposed to have water." Said Jadyn examining his arm. The woman repiled. "Alpha chose to save you. Which is fine by me, I find the idea of someone wearing the pack's uniform perishing because of something like dehydration to be dishonorable and disgusting. Besides, there's been more than enough violent casualties so far..." Jadyn noticed that she glanced at some pictures over by the counter. Suddenly the door opened slowly and a young pack member who appeared to be a student came in quietly. He had hair that was blonde near the top and the rest was aqua. His uniform had aqua on it too along with the usual black. He glared at Jadyn before turning to the middle aged women. "Is she awake from her treatment yet?" "Boy, you must have asked me five times in the last hour. Why don't you just stick around if you are going to bother me this much?" Repiled the woman in a tone of slight annoyance. The student looked down ashamed. "Sorry Sigma... I just-" "Don't worry yourself over it Delta." Repiled Sigma. Delta. Jadyn remembered he had been in the swat van. Delta glanced at Jadyn again and said. "I'm still not comfortable with him being in the same room as her..." "He won't be here much longer. I just needed to hook him up to the IV briefly." Repiled Sigma plainly. Delta glared at him again. "Alright... I'm still not leaving until he does though, now that he's-" "Delta? Is that you?" A voice from the occupied bed said. "Olivia!" Exclaimed Delta as he rushed over to her.

Jadyn and Sigma exchanged a brief glance at each other before turning attention back to Delta and Olivia who were now lightly hugging. Delta backed away a little as Olivia said. "You shouldn't worry so much, but I'm touched anyway. Have you been made pack rank yet?" "Not yet, me and the others are going to get our new ranks tonight." "Even Calvin and Rex?" Asked Olivia. Delta repiled. "Yeah, I guess it's about time. Those two have been student rank the longest. Aren't they the ones that went on the mission that found out that Alpha's son and the relatives of Gravis were hiding in Hiroshi's Labyrinth?" "Yeah." Repiled Olivia. She then asked. "Was anyone else injured during the mission last night?" Sigma repiled. "Nothing as major as you had it as far as I know." "I mean, I knew those villagers had poor judgement, but I guess I wasn't expecting them to be that brutal." Said Delta. "Well, this is the beginnings of war, I suppose it's to be expected..." said Olivia. Jadyn was sickened as memories of the village returned to him. How could they speak of it so casually? Sigma was getting something ready by the counter. She walked over to Jadyn and quickly gave him a shot of something. She disposed of the needle and picked up some folded clothes.
Post by ninjagofanmam on Jun 21, 2020 23:34:30 GMT
She handed him the clothes, which he realized were exactly like his pack uniform. "You can go, I have to focus on my patient. And please, change into fresh clothing, you smell like a dirty gym." Jadyn got to his feet slowly. He grabbed his forehead as the blood rush came to him. He glanced over at Delta and Olivia, who both looked back uneasily. He looked away and briefly turned his attention to the pictures by the counter. There was a picture of Sigma and two younger pack warriors in one picture, and the other pictures there was younger versions of the two warriors. They seemed familiar... One of the pictures had the two pack members as children, each with a birthday cake with the same amount of candles. Jadyn realized why they seemed familiar now... They were the deceased twins from the mine, and Sigma was their close relative. Sigma opened the door and motioned for him to leave. Jadyn didn't dare look her in the eye as he left the room. Why were the warriors who had been lost that day coming to his attention now? And why did he feel guilty about it?
After some walking through Ninjago City, hopping onto a crowded bus, and getting permission to enter an apartment building, Zephyr, Copic and Nathan were in an elevator. Copic was humming an toon under her breath as she paced around the elevator. Nathan almost looked seasick. Zephyr herself was just trying to stay in the corner of the elevator and take up as little space as possible as she silently watched the other two. Finally the elevator arrived at the floor they needed to be on and the three of them walked down the hallway of doors. Zephyr couldn't understand how so many people could stand living so close togther in such a small space in such a big city. True they had their own apartments, but what about going outside and wanting to be alone? How anyone could keep up with city life was beyond her. Suddenly Nathan stopped in front of one of the doors. He double checked the number, and then knocked. It was a moment before someone opened the door, when Zephyr saw the person's face her jaw dropped. He had brown hair, and a very familiar face. "Zephyr?!" It was Gavin.

Letting this one lady call all the shots? Nuh-uh, y'all might wanna go back to democracy or whatever their political system is.
HA, wise words with Copic. xD
Wow... OK, getting to see more of the intimate relationships within the Pack, but you also showed their apathy when it comes to the suffering of others... That's actually pretty deep. It makes their characters feel all the more real. 0.0
