*snip* "What if, they found where we've been hiding? And they are coming to get everyone?" "It's possible..." said Sensei Lloyd uneasy. Lisa suddenly exclaimed. "Zephyr, didn't you say that every month they attempt an assassination?" "Yes..." She repiled. "Do you think they've done this month's yet?" Asked Lisa. "Not likely, it has been a new month for the past couple days, right?" She anwsered. Neither of them liked where this was going. "Right..." Said Lisa. "No- You're not saying..." said Moe horrified. The whole group had realized it now. Nathan cursed under his breath. Sensei Lloyd glanced at his communication device again and said. "Well, it seems we are faced with a choice. We can either stay on task and find Jadyn and Zechariah. Or we can track down the wolf warriors and hopefully save a life or more. Or, we split up and do both."
Oh. Snap. O.o
Excellent parts! --though I still want to learn more about what the rest of the ninja are doing and about Zane's vision, now I'm more concerned for everybody else... O.O xD

Nathan and Zephyr made their way to the side of the den and went up the side like he, Moe and Jadyn had done. It had eventually been decided that he and Zephyr should go into the den. Because Zephyr would not be harmed because of her grandfather, and Nathan was not an elemental master, thus hopefully less of a target. In Nathan's opinion it only put a target on his back more. Having no powers ment he'd come off as weaker. He had spent a couple years living in New Ouroboros, and in that time he had learned much. One of the things he learned was that if you were weak, you'd be the target for the strong. Sure the strong fought among themselves, but to get the opportunity to go after someone weaker made them feel stronger. Or at least, that's how Nathan had felt when he had defended his younger friends in New Ouroboros, beating down weaker and smaller opponents was always easier. But he wasn't like those who did it for the feeling of power, he did it to protect, because he had to. But Nathan wasn't concerned about this mission, he wanted to come. He just knew he wasn't as safe as the rest of the team wanted to think. Nathan and Zephyr reached the hole in the roof that was above the small room with the research stuff in it. They were about to jump down into the room when the door opened. Nathan and Zephyr drew back out of sight and froze. They couldn't see down into the room, but Nathan could hear footsteps on the stone and voices. One voice he was sure he'd heard before... "Do you have the graphs and papers with you Max?" Said one of the voices, a fumilar one. He suddenly realized where he'd heard it before: Hiroshi's Labyrinth. That was the voice of Alpha. "Yes," repiled a voice, most likely Max. "What is it you wanted to tell us Gamma?" The voice of Alpha asked. Nathan heart was beating so fast he was surprised at himself. His mind was calm, but the sensation of being so close to the enemy, the enemy leader no less, made his adrenaline rush.
The voice of an old man repiled to what Alpha had asked. "Well, as you know," he breathed. "In order, to prepare for the coming of the asteroid, we must, gather to us many arorea minerals." He breathed. "What about them?" Asked the voice of Max. "We will need more sooner than I had previously said, the mines won't provide that much in time." He said taking in a painful sounding breath, and then continued. "You will need, to, find another way...To get them." He began to cough. Once the old man's coughing had died down Alpha spoke. "Well Max, you know where to find more, don't you?" "I- yes..." Repiled Max. "I told you to make those graphs and notes awhile back. I trust you did your research." Said Alpha. "I did..." Said Max. Nathan and Zephyr exchanged glances, he could tell she was just as cerious as he was. "Well, read off the places with the most already mined arorea minerals." Said Alpha. There was a moment of silence, then Max began to read. "New Ouroboros and Ninjago City contains the mass majority of it. After that, a wealthy community in the Hikari Region. Then an aquarium not far from Stiix. Following that is several spread out locations in Ninjago, those locations don't have quite as many though." "Oh no, that's not good..." Said Gamma, concerned in his voice. "Why is that?" Asked Max. Gamma took a deep breath. " Because, the asteroid will likely gravitate towards the location with the most arorea minerals..." "How big is this asteroid going to be?" Asked Alpha. "According to my research and visions." Gamma paused. "By the time it hits the ground, as big as a home at the very least, likely bigger though..." "But many pack members have family in Ninjago City and New Ouroboros, we can't just let it land there." Said Max. "That's the job I'm putting you on now, you can asgin someone you trust to be in charge of the mines if you can't handle it yourself." Said Alpha. "No, I've got it... May I be excused?" Asked Max. "You may." Said Alpha. The door opened and closed below and there was slience for a moment.
Gamma began to speak but Nathan had heard enough. He turned around and made his way to the ground without even checking if Zephyr was following him. He made it to the trees when a hand grabbed the back of his ninja gi. He turned around to see Zephyr who glared at him through her blue ninja hood and said in a harsh whisper. "Where are you going?!" "Didn't you hear what they were saying?" Asked Nathan slightly exasperated. "Ninjago City is at risk of being hit by an asteroid, and what's to stop those dogs from stealing all the arorea minerals in New Ouroboros?!" "Doesn't matter, that's not happening today! We are going back to the den to find Jadyn and my father. We have a mission." "At least they are alive, if we don't warn someone lots of people could get hurt." Said Nathan. "We can worry about that later. We need to focus on this now. Besides the pack seems to have the safety of the people living in the cites in mind." Argued Zephyr. "You say that like we can trust them!" Said Nathan louder than he had intended. "That is not what I ment! Also, queit down, the pack will hear us." They stood there in a tense silence for a moment. Nathan understood that Zephyr was technically correct in saying that they should stick with the plan. And he also wanted to find Jadyn, and Zephyr's father. However, he was also scared out of his mind for his friends in New Ouroboros... He knew he had just acted on inplus, but hadn't Zephyr done the same before? Surely she could understand, if she wasn't so blinded by her own inplus to recuse her father and get Jadyn, who she admired so much for some inexplicable reason, to come back to the team. He had to make her understand. "Look Zephyr, I want to find them almost as much as you do. But you need to understand, I have friends that are closer then my own family in that city." Zephyr inhaled and exhaled. She must have realized she was getting nowhere this way because she said. "I'm sorry if I'm coming off as uncaring... But, can we please stay on task? I promise we will return to this matter. And anyways, maybe there's more information inside."
Nathan decided he needed to calm down. They wouldn't attack just yet... He needed to be an adult here. He could send a message to his friends in New Ouroboros on a communication device later as soon as they were done... "Alright, it's childish for us to argue about this anyway." Zephyr heaved a sgin of relief and said, "Thank you, Nathan." "Don't thank me yet, we still need to make it in there and out again. The worst of it is ahead of us now. We need to make it quick too." Nathan reminded her. "Too bad one of us can't turn invisible..." Said Zephyr. "Let's just get this over with..." Said Nathan as they began to walk back in the direction of the den. Suddenly Nathan felt uneasy, something had changed about their sroundings... The sound of a twig snapping came from behind him. He turned to in the direction of the sound. His heart nearly stopped at what he saw. Standing there in front of him was a wolf warrior, but not just any, the warrior had half his face burned and had gray hair. It was Alpha, Zephyr's psycho grandfather... " Having a bit of a disagreement were we? I thought I heard something." Said Alpha, he continued as the two of them starred at him in shock. "Don't trust your eyes, one day they may fail you." He pointed to his scarred burnt face grinning slightly. Zephyr glared at Alpha with a firey rage in her eyes as she pulled out her knife and aimed it threateningly at him. Alpha looked mildly amused at this. Nathan pulled out some nunchucks he had brought along. Sensei had given him some basic weapons training. Although there was still much he did not know, he was willing to use what he did know to the fullest. "You wouldn't actually hurt me now Zephyr, would you?" Asked Alpha simply. He took a step forward seemingly unfazed by their weapons. Nathan saw this as his chance to strike. He swung the wooden nunchucks at Alpha's head. In a blur of motion Alpha ducked and then kicked out at Nathan.
He gasped as the painful blow made contact with his mid section and he was thrown backwards onto the ground. He had not expected someone of Alpha's age to react that quickly... "Let it be known that you made the first move in this encounter." Said Alpha steppig forward and slamming his foot down onto Nathan. He let out a cry of protest as his body reacted to the hit. Before Alpha could land another blow though a flash of steel went over the side of Alpha's upper arm and red flew through the air from it. Zephyr stood there next to Alpha, soiled knife in hand. Alpha looked over his shoulder, surprise appearing on his face, his expression slowly became serious. Nathan attempted to stand, slipping a little on the cold leaves. "From what I heard, you were already given a warning to leave. So unless you want to join your father I'll give you another hint." Said Alpha taking out a knife. Nathan rolled out of the way just as Alpha brought it down right where he had been laying just a moment before. Nathan got to his feet and swung his nunchucks in a defensive way to keep Alpha back. Alpha suddenly crouched down and swung out his leg into Nathan's right leg, Nathan was thrown to the ground again as his body took on the shock of the impact. Suddenly the light of a blue spinjizu vortex with green practicals in it slammed into Alpha, he was picked up and thrown to the ground hard. Zephyr appeared where the mini tornado had been, she rushed over to Alpha and put her foot on his chest. Nathan painstakingly stood up and limped over to Zephyr and Alpha. Alpha looked up at them and said plainly. "If you don't intend to stay, why are you even here? Your father literally can't go anywhere right now, and the master of fire just left with the others." Zephyr began to say, "What are you even-" "He's probably lieing Zephyr, this old man can't be trusted." Said Nathan. "What's more powerful?" Asked Alpha, "A lie that sounds true, or truth that sounds like a lie." "We don't have time for this!" Nathan said glaring at Alpha. "We'll go see for ourselves if you are right."
"No, I don't think you will, or at least not you boy." Said Alpha. He grabbed Zephyr's foot and threw her off him in one swift motion. He picked up his knife that had dropped on the ground and said. "This is your final warning." With that he slashed his weapon across the side of Nathan's face. Alpha suddenly let out a loud long air shacking howl into the sky. It echoed throughout the forest around them. When he was finished he grinned at them and said. "Better run, or they'll catch you, for good this time, no mercy..." After he had spoken it was clear what he meant by "they", the shadows and light footfalls of the warriors no doubt were coming tward them. Zephyr was still glaring at Alpha. They had to get out there, Nathan didn't trust Alpha, but he wasn't going to ignore his threats either. "Zephyr, we can't risk it!" Said Nathan backing away from Alpha. Liquid fell from his cheek onto his hand. "Then go! I can't run away again!" Zephyr replied.
"Don't make me leave you behind, that's not fair, you wouldn't let me do that." Said Nathan trying to give her a pleading look through his ninja hood. "Make your choice..." Said Alpha. "Ugh-ra!" Zephyr cried in exasperation and then repiled. "Fine." Nathan and Zephyr sprinted away from there. Nathan only hoped they could make it to the four wheelers before the pack caught up with them.
They reached the four wheelers out of breath and mounted them quickly. Hastally they turned them on and drove through the forest away from the pack in a random direction just as some warriors came into view. They drove as fast and far away from there as possible. After awhile Zephyr noticed her communication device trying to tell her someone was contacting her. She shouted to Nathan to stop and once they finally did she checked her communication device and found they had left a message. She selected it and the two of them listened to the message. Sensei Lloyd's voice came through the communication device. "It's worse than we thought! Everything's burning! It's seriously worse then the Cursed Realm out here! Come as soon as you can!" Zephyr could barely connect what she was hearing to reality. Nathan looked just as shocked. "It looks like he sent us the location." Said Nathan, "It's going to take us nearly half an hour to get there, and that's with no stops or trouble along the way. And it looks it we're going to have to go through snow..." "Let's get started then..." Said Zephyr quietly. She hoped they weren't already to late.

Uh-ohhhh... the asteroid might hit Ninjago City! o.o
Yes, Nathan, stick to the plan, you've got to stick to the plan!
