“Run!” Z-Whales shouted, and dived into the next room through a closing door.
Jon did the same.
“Dang man, that was too close!” Jon said unsteadily as the door shut.
Z-Whales placed his hand on the ground and was about to push himself up when Jon shouted “Stop right there!”
Z-Whales froze, tensed.
“Let’s take a breather,” Jon said “and not set off any more traps for a little while.
“Keep going.” Cascade ordered across the comms.
Con stepped lightly, looking closely at his surroundings. He peered into the darkness, sword raised. The tunnel walls were rough, but there appeared to be no hidden traps. He continued slowly. After a while, he noticed something – A thin wire, glinting dully in the weak glowing light. He stopped walking. All it took was one more step to trip over it and set off a trap. Con carefully stepped over it and continued, inspecting each wall before taking another step. Apart from the wire, there seemed to be no traps. Things were going well until a burst of static came through the comms.
“Move faster.” Cascade said. “We don’t have all day.”
“What am I supposed to do? Sprint?” Con asked.
“Actually, yes.” Cascade said. “My patience is rather drained today. Keep in mind that little shock you got from earlier and know the consequences of defying an order.”
“If I run, I’ll set of every trap in my path!” Con exclaimed.
“You’re expendable, so get on with it. If you die then we’ll send in more.”
Con stood in shocked silence for a moment. After a brief pause, he shakily took a deep breath.
“Okay.” He said tensely.
This could be his last run ever. He hopped from one foot to another and streched.
“What’s taking you so long?” Cascade asked impatiently.
“On it.” Con said, taking one more deep breath, then sprinting down the tunnel.
He kept alert, wide-eyed and gritted teeth. He kept his blade raised, ready for whatever was to come.

RuleJJ moved swiftly. He had quite easily identified the last couple of traps and avoided them. Right now, nothing but smooth rock walls surrounded him. There weren’t any traps along the way, until the path suddenly opened up to a cavern. The path ended in a sheer drop down into a dark abyss. He squinted in the dull light and managed to make out the outline of a rocky pillar forming a stepping stone. He made out the dark silhouettes of others againt a light on the other side. There was a doorway leading to another room on the other side. RuleJJ quickly realised he’d have to jump from pillar to pillar, so he took a deep breath and a few steps back. This wouldn’t be easy. He rushed forward and leapt towards the first one. It was a bit too far, so he fell short and shot both arms forward and grabbed the edge of it. He gripped it tightly, and held on for a few seconds before hauling himself up. He gritted his teeth and tensely crouched on the top for a short while. He looked up and saw the next pillar, not too far away. He knew he could easily reach the next one, so he waited a few second more, calculating the jump, then sprung to the next pillar. He landed on it almost perfectly, but lost balance and wobbled dangerously forward. After a short while, he regained his balance and fell into a crouch. He peered into the dull light and made out the next pillar, but it was a lot further than the last one.
“What’s taking you so long? You’re moving at a baby bunny hop pace.” Cascade remarked impatiently across the comms. “Obsticals.” RuleJJ replied through grited teeth as he wobbled ominously.
“Get through them faster.” Cascade said, then went silent through the comms after that.
Fun Fact: I listened to "Take Me Home, County Roads" pretty much on repeat while writing this part.

I was supposed to post this the day after that last part but time seemed to skip a few days.
RuleJJ shifted to a better position on the pillar, then leapt to the next one as hard as he could, but it wasn’t hard enough. He landed awkwardly on his chest and quickly slipped backwards, but he clung on the edge for dear life. There was only one good handhold on this one, so he clung onto it with both hands and clenched his teeth. He tried his hardest to haul himself up. It felt like all the muscles in his arms were screaming as he tried to haul himself up to the top of the pillar. He grunted and tried harder. He really started feeling the energy drain from his arms when they were halfway bent. He clenched his jaw and gritted his teeth harder and he slowly pulled himself up. He was nearly screaming as he finally made it up. At the top, he quickly sat down and rested for a short while. Every muscle in both arms hurt. He took deep breaths and waited for a while to regain some strength, and after a a while longer, he relaxed a bit. That was way too close.
Z-Whales and Jonmbost walked at a steep angle down a tunnel.
“This is kinda creepy.” Z-Whales said, looking over his shoulder. “Yeah.” Jon said.
Suddenly, a rock under Z-Whales’ foot shifted. Through the walls, they both heard a clicking sound. Jon tensed up.
“This won’t be good.” He said. “We’re in brickin’ trouble now.” Z-Whales said through gritted teeth, his voice thick with tension.
After a while, the noise stopped. The only sound they heard was their breathing, and pounding hearts. Z-Whales bit his lip. Jon took a deep breath, wiped some beads of sweat that were forming on his brow.
“That was a funny little trick.” He said, laughing it off. “It was just a-“ He suddenly cut off with a sharp gasp as there was a sudden, loud scraping noise of metal on rock. Sharp, needle spikes shot up from different spots on the ground. Luckily, none of them sustained injuries.
“Wha-?!” Z-Whales began through clenched teeth, but there was more to come as the spikes slowly retracted into the ground.
Something else shifted, and the ceiling stared coming down on top of them. Z-Whales and Jon sprinted forward, just managing to avoid rocks. They dashed into some sort of room which was safe from the crumbling ceiling, but as they were running forward, Jon stepped on something which triggered some form of darts to shoot from all four walls. Just before the full barrage started, they both dropped to the floor and managed to nearly survive them all. Z-Whales got a dart to the right shoulder, which he quickly pulled out. They both jumped to their feet. The injury from the dart stung sharply, and as Z-Whales got up he stumbled. He hit the wall and leant against it to steady himself, but he pushed another lever, and the ceiling started crumbling and falling apart like the other one.

Whoever designed this place was a genius.
I'm attempting to take impossible to another level.

Chapter Four ~ A Tough ‘Lil Big Spider
“Get rid of it!” Agent screamed, stumbling backwards. “Do whatever, just get it away!”
“A little help please!” YouKnowWho shouted, dodging a few blows.
“How?” Agent yelled. “I hate spiders! I HATE ‘EM!”
The giant spider thrust a front leg forward, which was tipped with a sharp spike. YouKnowWho dodged it and slashed it at with her blade. The spider retracted and let out a screech, then lunged forward more ferociously. YouKnowWho backed away and slashed at it again, striking it across its two front legs. It screeched and retracted once more, then rushed forward and knocked YouKnowWho over. It attempted to sink its two large fangs into her, but she jammed her weapon between her and the spiders mouth. The giant spider forced its venom-dripping teeth closer.
“Get over here!” YouKnowWho shouted through gritted teeth. The spider forced its fang closer. Agent stared for a moment longer, then mentally kicked himself into action. Shoving fears aside, he rushed forward and leapt onto the spider and thrust his blade into it. The spider screeched again and tried to shake Agent off, but couldn’t. YouKnowWho jumped to her feet and broght her sword down across the spiders face, leaving a long gash. The spider swivelled around and knocked YouKnowWho to the ground with its back and scurried off, bringing Agent with it.
“NO. NOOO!” Agent screamed.
“Agent!” YouKnowWho called after him, sprinting down the tunnel after the spider. “Let go!”
But Agent gripped his weapon tightly and didn’t loosen it one bit. YouKnowWho tried her best to keep up, but the spider was too fast.
“Agent?” YouKnowWho called, slowing down.
“Help please!” Agent’s voice echoed, sounding muffled in the distance twists and turns of the cave.
Apologies that I dropped off for quite some time. My activity have been unreliably so-so.

YouKnowWho, after a short while of running, slowed down to a complete standstill. The spider’s scuttling faded completely in the distance, along with Agent’s screams. YouKnowWho slowly became aware of the darkness surrounding her. The silence weighed down heavily, and her heart pounded faster. Eyeing the darkness nervously, she continued catiously. She jumped when a voice sounded through the comms.
“How’s it going?” Cascade asked.
“Could be better.” YouKnowWho replied. “Who was screaming?” Cascade asked.
“Agent.”
There was a hint of contempt in Cascade’s voice as he replied “I always knew he would break eventually.”
YouKnowWho just silently continued forward. The darkness that surrounded her encroached uncomfortably. After a short while of silence and slow going, she heard a sigh through the comms.
“I’m not in the mood to be sneering right this moment, so I’ll ask you kindly. Please hurry up and move faster.”
YouKnowWho didn’t answer, but just started jogging down the tunnel. After a while, she paused when she saw something glinting in the dull light on the ground. Cautiously, she approached it and peered at it. It appeared to be a stunner, like the ones Cascade’s men used. She picked it up and inspected it closely. It had three settings – light, medium, and heavy. Obviously, that was for how heavy the stun would be. She flicked it to heavy and took a few more steps forward. There was something else – a sword, also one of the weapons she saw Cascade’s men carrying. It was arguably better than the one they had issued her, so she dropped her current one and picked the other up. She saw several broken parts of armour and other things acattered across the ground, and after a while she came across a body or two. She carefully stepped over them, and after a few seconds her guess quickly came to a conclusion - Cascade’s men had tried to fight the spider, but failed.

Wow, these past five days went fast.
After a few more minutes, she finally heard something apart from the sound of her breathing and footsteps. She quickened her pace, stunner and sword raised. The sound of the spider scuffling grew louder. Finally, she rounded a corner and saw the spider a short distance away, trying to throw Agent off. He gritted his teeth and tightened his grip around the sword handle. The spider sensed YouKnowWho’s presence and turned around. After a brief staredown, it screeched and rushed at her. YouKnowWho quickly dived to the side, narrowly avoiding being snatched by the spiders pedipalps. The spider struck the wall, and Agent’s sword was dislodged. He fell and hit the ground while YouKnowWho jumped to her feet and shot the spider three times with the stun gun. The stun effected the spider quite badly, and it screeched and swung around to face her. She shot again as the spider stumbled forward. It dropped to the ground for a moment, then scrambled up again. YouKnowWho stepped back, further and further, until she had her back to the wall. She shot a few more times then stopped to preserve ammo. The spider stumbled to a halt and wavered for a moment. Its eyes seemed to go blank for a moment, then it tensed again and positioned itself to lunge at YouKnowWho. Suddenly, with a shout, Agent rushed at it from behind and slashed at it. YouKnowWho swung her weapon at it and cut off its right front leg, and slashed it across the top row of eyes. The spider screeched and confusedly swung around to face both of them. Agent rushed forward, sword raised. The spider stabbed at him with its left front leg, which Agent deflected, opening up the spiders defence for another attack from YouKnowWho, who brought her sword down and badly injured the spider. But none of the injuries it sustained seemed to faze it.

It tensed to spring forward and knock Agent and YouKnowWho back, but before it could, the ground beneath it cracked and shifted, and broke away. The giant spider slipped backwards and fell into a dark abyss. Its screeches faded into the distance, and after a few more seconds they heard a faint, echoing thud. Agent said nothing and just fell to his knees, pale faced and exhausted. YouKnowWho stared wide-eyed into the abyss for a moment, then looked around, finally having a chance to study her surroundings. The tunnel they were in previously had opened up to a large spacious cave. The ground ended in a sheer drop, and a thin bridge extened across to the other side.
“We’ve been through so much already I’ve almost forgotten what we’re here for.” Agent said shakily.
“You’re almost there.” Cascade said through the comms. “Move faster.”
