^continued from my post from above
Oh, and there were gasps at old Cap and I think you can hear some people crying during that scene. And yes, there was also crying during Tony's funeral. I was about to but my friend behind me suddenly asked if someone was crying. Not only that but there were inappropriate laughs (though they were faint) because some kid asked a stupid question ("Did somebody die?"). Heck, I'm not even sure if that was the same kid who was running back and forth to his seat from the bathroom, which, by the way, there were some people who had a bathroom break during the movie. I was about to be one of them as I accidentally drank some water before the movie started (which I really made sure I wasn't supposed to but ugh xD) and I already felt the need to run to the bathroom during Cap and Nat's conversation before Scott showed up. Thankfully, I was able to hold it. Going back to the reactions, there was a huge round of applause when the credits started and laughs when there was apparently no post-credits scene. Only few of us were clapping during the OG Avengers' signatures came up.
What can I say, I've seen this 5 times already (6 times if I'll be going to its re-release next week) and it's still so great. No, actually, beyond great. It's epic, mind-blowing, and a roller coaster of emotions. The final battle is definitely the best scene in the entire MCU and one of the most epic scenes ever in cinematic history. Stark's death still gets me everytime, considering that he's my favorite Marvel hero. Though slightly predictable, they really managed to make the story really deep, despite some of its themes not being entirely new. Infinity War and The Winter Soldier are still better than this one imo but that's not to say Avengers: Endgame truly is something else. Is it safe to say that it's a game-changer? Probably yes, for me, at least. 9.5/10.
Assessment: I actually wanted to see this movie at home, because although I was interested, I'm not really into Pokemon. However, my little brother got interested in Pokemon and wanted to see it, so we went. I decided to eat my whole popcorn in the time it took for the movie to start so that I wouldn't miss anything important in a toilet break. It must have been 40-50 minutes.
I actually enjoyed my time watching the movie, and the ending genuinely shocked me. I'm glad it that it's done well with both the critics1 and audiences, since movies based on video games generally don't do all that well, so maybe this could actually signal a turning point.
1: Rotten Tomatoes counted way more reviews than Metacritic, so I consider the movie to have done well critically.
Oh, cool. My brother went to see it alone on its last day of showing in one of our nearest theaters (Aladdin was gonna come out the next day) since my dad and I aren't really into Pokemon either. My dad wanted to see a certain R-rated movie instead but I haven't seen the first two movies prior to that so it was not until a week ater that I was able to see it (despite me not reaching its R-rating yet; it's rated 16+ here but I was still able to get in the theater despite still being only 15 ). Another option for him was Avengers: Endgame in another theater (where they have IMAX) but the same R-rated film took over all IMAX screens already by that time.
I'll probably see Detective Pikachu soon but "casually."
You kinda brought it back to life, too, so I'll be posting again starting with my second viewing of Endgame. xD
Cool! Err . . . I watched ''Dunkirk'' in a mini cinema a couple of years back, I don't know if that is still valid.
Was that the last movie you saw in the theater? Lol I regret missing that in theaters. Seeing it for the first time at home is a totally different experience.

Yes, it was. It's probably good to see it in a theater for the best experience, as in, deafening explosion sound effects, a huge screen and surround sound.

True. They said it added to the intensity of the story, which I why I'm making sure I won't miss Tenet in theaters. Heck, I'm planning to see it twice or thrice in theaters and have at least one viewing in IMAX.

Yes, it was pretty intense.
Cool! Best see it five five times to be on the safe side.

Seeing it five times like I did with Endgame would be hard for me, considering that (assuming that the epidemic is over by then and school here still starts on July) Wonder Woman 1984 is coming out the next month and that I plan to see in IMAX, too.

Dang, the only reason why I never posted about my second viewing of Avengers: Endgame here was because I already had it last year but as soon as I clicked "Post", my account apparently was logged out. Stupid time limit.
