So, episode 95 has been released! That was unexpected. The only issue is that it's in pretty poor quality. We should just wait until someone gives us a higher quality version.
However, a high quality version should come soon, and then we can discuss March of the Oni with spoilers!

{EPISODE 97 SPOILERS} Such an amazing episode. Everything with Lloyd and Garmy in Ninjago city was PERFECT, especially the fact that we got to see Borg's vaults, with Yang's painting, a Vermillion sword, all five Serpentine Staffs, the orb thing that Cole smashed in DotD and more! The fact that they brought back the golden armor after 62 episodes is awesome. It wouldn't have fit anywhere else so I'm glad it was saved. It's interesting how Garmy didn't really care about the golden weapons anymore though. Garmy was wonderfully done in this episode. I feel like he wishes he were good, yet doesn't understand the concept. Away from Harumi's influence though, he seems to slowly becoming more normal.
Oh ya, and the Cole subplot was overdramatic and I don't care about it because who else is going to wield the Scythe of Quakes?
Kai and Nya's ending scene was great! Do you think Kai is going to create six weapons or four? I hope he creates four because there were four from the start and the golden weapons are pretty special. Once the weapons are back, the Ninja can do the Tornado of Creation and defeat the Oni.

I was originally going to wait until the episodes were released in higher quality to watch them, but after getting some big spoilers, I just watched through the whole season. So, does it live up to the hype? Well, not completely, but I greatly enjoyed it.
The first three episodes were great, and it really didn't feel rushed whatsoever. Instead, it felt like the writers were actually making good use of the limited time they had, and with no sets to sell, they had plenty of freedom to do what they want. Episode 97 almost gave me tears, with the way that Garmadon and the relationship with his son was going. I was shaken by the creepy atmosphere of the corrupted Ninjago city. I was enjoying it immensely.
However, the finale felt really rushed and didn't satisfy me whatsoever. It left me with so much questions that I won't mention to avoid spoiling it for mods. Above all, if this season was meant to celebrate the 100th episode, why are we now at 98 episodes? It all made the season feel incomplete. It really should have been 6 episodes long, which would make the season feel less rushed and give the writers more time to develop the story.
Overall, the season was going in a great direction, but the ending just ruined it. Hopefully, things will get better with Season 11.

I really enjoyed the whole season. I think the season finale was... O.K.... It definitely could have been better. I'm curious to see what season 11 will be like, especially since nothing was left open at the end. I kind of expected there to be something... similar to Morro at the end of Tournament of Elements. But, overall, Tommy Andreason wad right about episode 97... It was the best episode of the series (except for mabye Green Destiny).
Also... we're at episode 98 because the writers enjoy the pilot episodes so much that they include them. (If you didn't notice, they count the pilot episodes, but not Day of the Departed. Good choice. )

Based on the rumours, Season 11 will have a fire and ice theme like the final season of Chima, and the villain will be called the Forsaken Emporer. You already know that, but that's all we can gather.
That doesn't really make sense. Where do the pilots fit into the episode count?

It doesn't make sense, but it's what the creators said. The pilots probably would have been labeled as episodes 1 and 2 if Ninjago had been a show back then.
I just watched March of the Oni, and I really liked it overall. I'm so glad absolutely nothing from it was spoiled for me (I had the Harumi twist in season 8 spoiled for me very soon before I was able to watch the episode, so that was really annoying). Surprisingly, I managed to stay free of spoilers for all these months while I rewatched the whole series (except for the pilots, since they're no longer on Netflix in the US anymore).
I watched March of the Oni in its movie format, so it'll be interesting to see later which part was technically in which episode. I thought the Cole subplot was pointless, and a missed opportunity. I actually though we were gonna cut to him waking up in the Departed Realm, and he'd ride the Ultra Dragon back to Ninjago from there. That would've been much cooler. Fan service? Yes, but they did bring back the golden weapons (which actually legitimately surprised me), the Monastery, and Destiny's Bounty, after all.
The ending did seem rushed to me. The Oni being destroyed off-screen was anticlimactic. I guess it was the same with the Overlord in Rebooted, come to think of it, but somehow that had felt more satisfying. On-screen villain defeats like the Great Devourer and the Preeminent were much cooler. I didn't really get what the point was of that scene with Lloyd and his gramps in the Departed Realm. (Was that even the Departed Realm? Why did it have floating islands, like Chima? Was it Chima? Was it a Phoenix Realm inside Chima's sun? Was it another realm made by the FSM? Was it the space between realms? Alas, it wasn't made clear, so I have many questions about the ending.)
I did like it overall though, like I said. I'm glad they brought back seasons 1-2 Garmadon, in a way. The ending of March of the Oni definitely wasn't as climactic and satisfying as the last few episodes of Hunted, but it did its job. The way it ended, however, does make me subsequently worried about season 11, but I'll talk about that on the Ninjago 2019 discussion topic.

*mind-blown* O_O
Everything we thought we knew was wrong.
Well Chima's sun is sort of implied to be a realm in itself, with the Phoenix coming from there, so who knows? Maybe the Phoenix are connected to First Spinjitzu Master?
