Well Chima's sun is sort of implied to be a realm in itself, with the Phoenix coming from there, so who knows? Maybe the Phoenix are connected to First Spinjitzu Master?

I don't know enough about Chima lore to say much, but I suppose it's not entirely impossible for there to be a connection of that sort between the two realms. Now that Chima's over though, LEGO may not do anything more with it now.
