The trilogy wasn't terrible. A little cheesy at times - and yes there is a bit of Wusoko - but I liked the journal formatting to most of it. Looking back, I think that's all that kept me reading.xP

I tried to read the Dark Island Trilogy back in 2017, but for some reason it's super obscure. The books were "sold out" or not in stock in literally every website and store I know. It was so weird. What an incomprehensible, pointless goose chase that turned out to be.

Hm. I'm still going to try to read it, even if only to say that I have.
I'm more indifferent than all that I'd say. My only reservation is that it feels weird.
Wusako was fine in Seasons 5-7 (obviously it didn’t exist in 8. : P) but with Garmadon back and Faith in the picture, it’s a little awkward to me.
Yyyyeeeaaaahhhh. . . this is one reason why part of me wishes Garmadon were still dead. Otherwise Misako's relationship with Wu might feel a little more pure. >_> Oh, so I'm not the only one who wondered if there was a thing between Faith and Wu!

I don't think Faith can be shipped with old man Wu. I mean, yeah Teen Wu and Faith would be fine, but I feel like there's a major age difference now.
If Garmy knew about Wusako, then I think Wu might be dead though.
Technically Garmadon was resurrected as a completely evil sociopath, so he now probably wouldn't care at all if there was anything between Wu and Misako.

More like psychopath. He probably would be consumed with jealousy even if he doesn't like Misako.

He actually seems relatively sane. The only things he seemed to care about in seasons 8 and 9 were Harumi and the threat of the Oni.
