It's an ok read. The journal helped me understand Wu a little better. ( there's Wusako though. ) And the comic parts were nice.
However I would 100% recommend you check out these:
I'd definitely recommend the graphic novels and the books with the ninja's names on them. These are my long time favorites, none are canon, but they're absolutely amazing reads! I know I recommended these to you back on the old message boards but it doesn't hurt to do it again.
Yeah! Ooh, it's been a while.. uh.. Probably Mask of the Sensei, from what I can remember. Though I like the gritty technological intrigue of Night of the Nindroids too. Which is your favourite?

Cool! My favorite is Who Is The Phantom Ninja. Mostly because of Seliel.

Wow, OK! There are a lot more books than I thought. . . Ah, my kingdom for a local library with a wider variety of English/American books. I'll keep your recommendation in mind should I ever come across these. It definitely doesn't hurt to remind me, because I've completely forgotten about that.

Alright. You said something similar to that before. Funny the things some people will remember and others will forget. I think I remember it so well since that was back when I was first finding out you live in Germany.

Probably because it's true. I have a quirky memory. I can remember the theme song of a preschool TV show I watched like three times, but I can't remember what my teacher said to me about my pronunciation of a word in german class last week. Ah, yes, I guess that's a pretty significant memory. You: So you're American, like me. . . Me: Yeah. You:. . . But you live in Germany. . . Me: Yeah. You:. . . Nobody in your family is German. . . Me: No. You: . . . And you've spent half your childhood living there. Me: Yeah. You: . . . why? Me: :3 i can't actually remember what that conversation was like

I know what you mean. Like sometimes I can remember a bunch of different facts about random things I've found out, but if it's something really " important " I was supposed to remember I forget it since it holds no value in my mind.

I believe it went something like that.
EXACTLY! Just because we're told it's "important" doesn't mean our brains are going to register the information as important as people make it out to be!
I really want to try the dark island books, too! But I just bought a Lego set, so I don't think my dad will let me get something very soon... Hey, have any of you guys read the Ninjago encyclopedia? I have the first one (With the kimono Lloyd) and the newer one (the one with the big collection of ninjago books that also comes with kimono Lloyd).

Do you mean the character encyclopedia, or are there other encyclopedias out there? I've got the character one, but I don't think I've seen the one with the big collection of books.

I mean the character one. And the one with the big collection of books I think was a special edition.

Cool. So I guess in answer to your question, yes, I've read the Ninjago encyclopedia. Good stuff, that.

The trilogy wasn't terrible. A little cheesy at times - and yes there is a bit of Wusoko - but I liked the journal formatting to most of it. Looking back, I think that's all that kept me reading.xP
