So, some time ago, the trailer for the LEGO Movie 2 came out, and I want to know what you think about it! I think it looks quite interesting. I don't know if I think it's the best idea yet though. So I suppose I'm somewhere in the middle of liking it and disliking it.

We still have Chris Pratt as Owen, so everything should be fine.
It looks bad in my opinion. The post-apocalyptic idea was cool, but the trailer got super cringey when the minidoll showed up.
It could have been worse. They could have used the Duplo aliens for villains.
I think the movie looks really good. Post-apocalyptic Bricksburg and minidoll space is such a wierd combination, but it should be both interesting and hilarious to see the conflict between the worlds of Finn and his little sister. What I'm really looking forward to, though, is how well this movie performs. Since The LEGO Ninjago Movie didn't perform that well, this could either be the movie that saves the LEGO Movie franchise or destroys it. I'm confident it'll be good, though.

Actually, Chris Pratt will play a new character called Rex Dangervest, who is basically Emmet's cooler twin as well as a cross between Star Lord and Owen Grady, so you were kind of right.

Anyone remember the Man Upstairs? I don't think he's very happy that Finn and his sister are fighting over the LEGO table...so maybe President Business went off to strike a truce between Bricksburg and the Sis-star System, but it didn't work out, leading to this.

What I'm wondering, is why didn't Batman just go back to LEGO Gotham (and take his friends there, for that matter) after Bricksburg was destroyed? Maybe the Duplo creatures conquered all the LEGO "worlds"? If so, that would be quite dark.

I think it's interesting that Unikitty has EVOLVED!!! I mean, I don't believe in Evolution, but she was already a cat-unicorn, soooooooo.......

We finally got a new trailer, and official set images!
I don't get why the trailer wasn't released sooner, since the movie releases in a little over 2 months, so it really should have gotten more promotion. At least we got the first trailer all the way back in June, so that should help it a little. Also, if the movie turns out to be good, it will get positive reviews, and more people will be drawn to it. I really hope this won't affect how successful the movie is.
Fortunately, the movie still looks good. At first, it was mostly showing what we had already seen from the first trailer, but then it showed more of the Systar System, and revealed both Rex Dangervest and Queen Whatevra Wa-Nabi. The last bit was...weird, but I still have confidence in this movie.
I'll talk about the sets later, but notably, Rex has a Rextreme Offroader and a Rexplorer. I wonder if he uses Rexplosives.
