Silence rules again as the room suddenly falls still. Anzo and Stig make their way over to Brandr and help him to his feet. Injured by the wyrm's claws, he has been patched up by Alinor and Visnja and does not appear to have been affected by the creature's venom. Daniel is unconscious and being tended to by Alinor and Visnja, who have administered a heavy dose of antivenom provided by Liam. Ninoslava and Melisende make their way over to them, alert despite their clear exhaustion for any other threats that might arise. Liam kneels over Ivor, who is groaning and shaking in the sand, seemingly unconscious but in the throes of the wyrm's venom. The healer has administered the last of his antivenom, but he's not sure if it will be enough. Even if it his, the injured right arm is already festering; it has to go. Liam raises his blade, but his hand begins trembling uncontrollably and he drops it into the sand. "Someone . . ." he whispers
Azril, Lucas, Goatie, and Jednook watch all of this happen as they stand over the fallen wyrm. All of them are exhausted, and all of them are injured, but only minor scrapes and bruises. What will they do now?
"We should turn back," Lucus murmurs, grim. "We need to get the wounded back up to the surface, before anything else attacks."
Alinor looks at him, nodding slowly. "You should take Daniel and Ivor. Take whoever you need to bring them out safely. I will keep going with anyone who cares to accompany me."
Agaist his better judgement, he goes to investigate the noise, doing his best not to disturb anything that either has, looks like it has, or looks like it once had value.
Passing through the huge doors, he enters an equally enormous room. It is lined by large pillars that stretch upward to meet a ceiling upon which, thanks to his light source, Sylvester can just barely make out what seems to be an uncountable collection of runes, seemingly arranged without reason or pattern. Torches, long since burnt out, are arranged along the walls. The floor seems to be made of thick glass with great cracks across most of its surface. In a few places, large holes in the floor reveal water beneath. Occasionally, Sylvester can make out some long, shadowy shape swimming beneath.
Afraid of falling through the glass to his doom, Sylvester attempted to magically grapple-hook himself across the room

"Very well." He calls to the others, "I need help taking Daniel and Ivor back to safety. Who will join me?"
Azril's gaze flickers between Ivor and Lucas. On one hand, he feels the need to continue the quest, but on the other hand, he feels loyalty to Ivor that may mean he must stick with him.

OOC: I'll allow that as a Tier 3 spell, but keep in mind that's right at the upper limit of your spellcasting ability.
IC: As Sylvester swings across the room, he sees the shadowy shape beneath the glass quickly grow larger. Bursting from one of the holes in the floor, it reveals itself to be a dragon-like creature, wingless and serpentine with dark blue scales. It snaps at him as he passes, narrowly missing, before dragging its full bulk out of the water. Sylvester now stands on the far side of the room, having successfully evaded the glass, as the twenty-foot-long Sea Wyrm rushes at him.

OOC: From a narrative standpoint, he should continue the quest. We're about to hit a really important story moment.
IC: "I'm with you," says Liam. His hands still shaking, he picks up the knife and returns it to his belt.
Brandr joins them, wincing as he walks, but supported by Anzo. "We'll head back, too."
Ninoslava and Melisende stick with Alinor and Visnja. Stig walks over to join them.

Sylvester cursed and attempted to roll out of the way, drawing a pair of knives to attempt to pierce the creature's hide somewhere that would be reasonably safe to target.

The creature swipes at Sylvester with its foreclaws, the attack once again cutting through the air just next to him as he dodges aside. He decides that the best spot to target would probably be low on its middle. There may be a spot there where the claws won't be able to reach him. The tail might still pose a problem, however.

Sylvester thrusts that spot and avoids the tail, I guess.
Finally coming to a decision, Azril joins Lucas' side. "I'll stay here."
OOC: Lucas, Brandr, Anzo, and Liam are going, with Daniel and Ivor. Alinor, Visnja, Ninoslava, Melisende, and Stig are continuing onward.
𝓐𝔯𝔡𝔢𝔫𝔱 𝓕𝔬𝔲𝔯 Only Goatie and Jednook remain. What will they do?
OOC: Okay!
IC: Goatie considers for a while. He has a tiny gnawing worry that Jednook might play up again about being underground. He decides his griffin should be fine . . . hopefully.
'I'll continue,' he says, after checking Jednook is not hurt after the fight. He himself has only a few aching bruises.

Sylvester's blades scrape along the wyrm's thick hide as he ducks under the tail. It hisses in anger as it coils around and spins to face him, but the attack does not seem to have had much of an impact at all. Seeing this, Sylvester knows that his best chance is to flee, either back the way he came or through the nearby archway, further into this place. The archway would be wide enough for the wyrm to follow, but it doesn't seem particularly fast, so he may be able to outrun it.

"Very well," says Alinor. "We should get out of this room. Good luck to the rest of you. We will conquer this labyrinth and return to report our findings." Alinor, Visnja, Ninoslava, Melisende, and Stig begin exiting the room as Liam, Brandr, and Anzo return the way they came, helping to support Daniel and Ivor as they do so.

Not one to leave things to chance, Sylvester devises a plan to abuse what he now knows about the wyrm's movement patterns, and attempted to dance himself into a position to throw daggers accurately into the wyrm's maw once it inevitably gapes.

Watching the wyrm carefully, Sylvester is able to move quickly, but not quickly enough to evade all of the wyrm's attacks. As he waits for an opportunity, it manages to snag him a few times with its claws and tail, fortunately not leaving any serious wounds, but injuring him nonetheless. He would not be able to keep this up for too long. However, he does manage to find an opening and chuck his daggers right into the beast's mouth. It roars in pain and rears back, before locking its attention back on Sylvester, fury visible in its cold eyes.
