OOC: I'm very proud of the work we all put into creating this RP and the world it takes place in. I'm sticking with it for the people that want to, but the activity is too low to do any major story lines, so I'm not going to be able to do everything I had hoped to.
OOC: Just in case I slip in to inactivity (I have no plans to but life happens), I want you to know that I really appreciate all you've done for this RP. You've created massive storylines and plots. You've practically led one of the most successful sub forums on this site. You've obviously put a lot of time and effort into creating this world. And I want to say thanks for that.
OOC: I would like to echo this, this RP has been the best, most organized RP I've ever been part of! You're truly a master at this, RuleJJ.
"No," says Lord Amvion dryly. "I did not know. Did he give a reason for his visit?"
Gidie shakes his head. "Nothing specific. Perhaps he desired a change of scenery."
"I see," responds Lord Amvion, his voice betraying a modicum of displeasure. "I don't suppose you've seen any members of the Forest Band about, have you?"

He shakes his head again. "No, my lord. The only other guests we've had were Alpida and another Kriatoma."

"Very good," Amvion replies, nodding slightly. "What is your opinion of their demand that we withdraw from the forest?"

"When Darthraxx was here, my lord, we were approached by members of a group calling themselves the Kaspik Wardens. They cited a treaty barring the kingdoms from establishing territories in the Forest. I found said treaty and confirmed that they were correct, but Darthraxx had no desire to leave and the Kaspik Wardens had no ability to make us. The Forest Band may have that strength. They may also, according to the treaty, be able to push us out with help from the Shadows and Lions. I would question, however, whether the treaty is still valid after such a long time."

Amvion listens carefully, pondering Gidie's words. "I see..." He sighs, staring at the floor for a moment. "Neither our castle nor our army has fullly recovered from the Xain invasion. I don't want to risk war; it could undo all the work we've done to restore the Dragon Kingdom. The Lions and Shadows cannot want conflict either; from what I've heard, the Shadow Kingdom doesn't even have a leader at the moment." Lord Amvion raises his head, staring at Gidie with determination. "However, we must be cautious; while the Forest Band's past actions have been noble, and they were vital in repelling the Xains, their future actions cannot be guaranteed. The fact that their army survived intact places them in a better position than the rest of the South; if they are allowed sole occupation of the Forest and the ability to grow in power unchecked...they could upset the balance of power in the South and crush any that oppose them. I think the best course, therefore, would be so call a council of the Great Houses and request that the Treaty of Kasp be declared invalid. If we succeed, the Forest Band will have no grounds to attack us. It would, however, be folly to convene this council too soon; it cannot be put off for long, but it may be that we can arrange for the other houses to support us in return for other concessions to them."

"Very well, my lord. What would you have me do?"
"Remain here, and try to avoid hostilities with the Forest Band. Tell them to come to the Dragon Kingdom if they become to insistent. Additionally...if you hear any rumours about the Lion Knights or Shadow Warriors which could prove useful in bringing them around to our line of thinking, relay them to me at the Dragon Castle, to which I shall return shortly to prepare for negotiations." Amvion stops speaking, as if contemplating something. "Also...if you have the time, I would be very much obliged if you could teach me Old Magic. I am proficient in the ordinary style, but my master had little knowledge of rune magic, other than that it existed."

"Yes, my lord. The lessons would take some time; I advise you hold off on them until the crisis has diminished."
