IC: It seems like hours pass as they wait there in the quiet room with the huddled forms of the refugees. Then, the silence is interrupted by shouting from the tunnel. They can see members of the group at the entrance, Flintedge's crew, in rapid conversation before three figures burst through the chamber and rush into the planning room. Tasha recognizes Flintedge, the black-eyed woman from his crew, and the elf from Jawless's crew before they are gone. As whispers circulate around the room, one of the other women from Flintedge's crew tells everyone to stay calm.
OOC: Heh lol XD
IC: *Tasha looks around not sure what's going on. Tries to listen to what others are saying as she stays close to Tall Wymond.*
OOC: But because I'm in a generous mood, I'll reply twice in one day.
IC: Whispers circulate around the room as everyone begins to shift nervously. A few minutes pass before Flintedge and the others return, accompanied now by Garal and Dalibor. The commander of the Hand quickly quiets the room. "Here's the situation. Something's been going on topside. The attack's stopped, but the soldiers have been transformed somehow. A group of them just broke into the tunnel. We're going to evacuate everyone and move you north to a safe location. Most of the soldiers will accompany us to protect you, leaving just enough to hold the beasts in the tunnels." With that, a few soldiers are sent out to notify the others and the rest begin ushering the refugees to the back tunnel.
Tall Wymond looks at Tasha. "Go with them." Then he begins pushing his way in the opposite direction.

OOC: Thank you benevolent king. (Actually I really was stoked to see that you responded again. :3)
IC: "Wait what are you doing!" *Tries to catch his arm as he moves away*
Blaze smirks like a madman. "Good." He trips her into a sitting position in his palm and launches her at the Black Knight with all his might.
Alpida is heavier than she looks, but with his lycanthropic strength Blaze makes the throw. She hurtles at the Black Knight, blade drawn, and tackles him to the ground. Sword held at his neck, she says, "It is over. I am done trusting your lies." The Black Knight struggles, but is unable to wriggle free. Alpida surveys the battlefield, watching the last remaining Shadow Warriors trying desperately to hold their own against the werewolves. "It is over!" Her voice carries across the field. She looks at Blaze. "It stops now. All of it."
OOC: 𝓐𝔯𝔡𝔢𝔫𝔱 𝓕𝔬𝔲𝔯 What are Bandy and Sobald up to at this point?
Blaze nods curtly before howling into the sky. The wolves begin to howl as they circle back towards him. Blaze slowly turns to face Alpida. "Curses are not easily broken, Alpida..." He starts whispering ominous sounding incantations. Alpida's bite begins to glow with heat.

OOC: Well, now I have to make up for it by taking too long to reply again.
IC: "Hil-- Beaming's out there. Azad is too. I need to help them." He runs up to the soldiers and starts trying to get someone to lend him a weapon.

Alpida pushes through it, ignoring the heat, and runs toward Blaze, sword at the ready. If any wolves get in the way, she attempts to knock them aside without doing much permanent damage. As soon as she reaches Blaze, she pushes the attack relentlessly.

The dark wolf the size of a mammoth spits out the skeleton of Sobald's horse and gallops in their direction, breathing purple fire at everything. "That Hell-spawn! The first step to ridding the curse is to defeat that villain!" Purple electricity courses through everyone infected, including the people lightly infected (Tall and Tasha?). The pain is bearable...barely. Blaze turns to the Black Knight on the ground. "Look what you've made me do! All this suffering...its all because of you!"

OOC: Don't worry about it. My internet went out for like... to long.
IC: *Stands watching for a moment. After a moment lets self get puled along by the crowd.*
OOC: That's unfortunate. Yesterday, the storms knocked out my cell service. It turns out it's not easy to get places when you don't have an app telling you when to make each turn.
IC: As she leaves, Tasha feels a sharp pain where she was grazed by the wolves earlier, but the crowd pushes around her and she is able to ignore it as she follows the flow. They rush through a long hallway, turn right, and run farther. There, several members of the Hand and one Shadow Guard are helping people climb up into the open air. Before long, it is Tasha's turn.

OOC: Was Alpida attacking Blaze, or just the wolves surrounding him?
IC: An icy white wolf leaps on Alpida's back, breathing icy blue fire on her. Blaze makes a lunge at it with his purple flaming fist.

IC: *Climes out feeling the fresh air on her face. It feels pleasant.*
OOC: Okay, that's what I thought. Btw when Blaze says he wishes to "stalk, hunt, kill", that is merely in response to the Black Knight saying "if you wish to talk..."
IC: The wolf rises on two feet and lumbers over, towering above Alpida and the Black Knight. "And why exactly would I want to do that?" He abruptly turns around, seemingly struggling.
OOC: You said you saved the Abandoned Fortress quest?
OOC: Got it.
IC: "My liege, perhaps we should do as he says."
"Yes, it seems any additional efforts here would be futile. And I know where we can go." He looks over to the tunnel entrance, where Tasha and Tall Wymond now face the wolf.
"But, what about the soldiers? We cannot just abandon our army."
The Black Knight has already set off. "We must. There is nothing we can do for them if I am lost. Alpida, your job is to protect me! Don't fail me now!"
For a moment, Alpida hesitates, and then she follows.
OOC: Yes, I have all those posts. The disappearance would have occurred an unspecified amount of time later.
OOC: Now I'm curious what would have happened had Blaze let them go back to the tunnel xp

OOC: She had intended to attack Blaze, believing him to be responsible, but seeing this new threat, her attention has pivoted.
IC: Alpida ducks to avoid as much of the blast as she can, rolling to the ground and attempting to break free from the wolf while hacking at it with her sword.
OOC: Is Alpida still having to fight off the curse? How strong is it?
OOC: That's unfortunate. Yesterday, the storms knocked out my cell service. It turns out it's not easy to get places when you don't have an app telling you when to make each turn.

IC: *Climes out feeling the fresh air on her face. It feels pleasant.*
OOC: It could have been much worse. The storms mostly missed the area, but they did a lot of damage in other places.
IC: She quickly notices the many, many wolves prowling the area, but she has little time to look because the refugees are being ushered towards the forest. Fortunately, most of the wolves are occupied by something going on elsewhere on the battlefield and the soldiers with them manage to fight the rest off.

OOC: They would definitely have been arrested by the rebels. Then, with nothing occupying the wolves, there would have been a much more intense escape from the tunnels, during which Alpida, the Black Knight, and potentially the other prisoners would have made their own escape.
