They turn right and head about twenty feet down before coming to a stop as a room opens up before them. It is approximately square, twenty feet a side, and empty. There are no other exits.
Tasha sighs. "I guess we should have gone left after all."
Alpida reaches up to wrap an arm around his throat. "I am no marsh giant, beast. I am Grayling. I will not yield."
With the two opponents locked together, the Black Knight grabs a sword from the ground and swings it at Blaze. "It is you who should give up, old friend. I don't know what has happened to you, or how you still live, but it doesn't matter. I am the Black Knight, the rightful ruler of this kingdom! I will destroy you as I did the last time, and as I did the pretender!"
{JAMMERS! -yisrael2- ONLY!} I can make that work. Would you like to use my idea, and if so, would you like me to tell you? It is tied strongly to the Black Knight's story.
Blaze struggles to remove her arm to no avail.
Out of the corner of his eyes, Blaze sees the black Knight coming and shifts so that Alpida takes some of the hit as well. He then throws Alpida several feet away and collapses into the earth, seething. "You always were so very vain, weren't you my lord." Blaze wearily gets to his feet and throws a shaky punch at the Black Knight, his fist engulfed in flames.
Alpida winces at the blow, but the Black Knight seems unbothered at striking her as well.
The Black Knight takes the blow, only turning aside a bit to reduce the impact. As the flames lick across his helmet, he tears it off, revealing the familiar (to Blaze) scarred elven visage of the Black Knight. Furiously, he launches into his own series of attacks, clumsy with his exhaustion but fueled enough by rage to still have an impact. "It's long past time I finished the job. This time, I'll make sure you stay in the ground with that traitor Gethin and the rest!"
After Blaze and the rest of the soldiers on the expedition were defeated by the Black Knight and assumed smashed, something strange appeared before Blaze. A floating ball of shifting black, orange, and gold patterns, it was the Creature of Time that he recalled seeing once before at the peak of the Tower of Time, where it absorbed Egol into itself before disappearing and leaving behind the Crystal of Time. It appeared to Blaze, speaking in his mind. "Not yet, Hunter Blaze. There is a task for you to perform. When the time comes, tell her the truth. She will listen. And watch the skies." With that, the creature disappeared, and in its place stood Egol, holding a long, yellowed tooth in his hand. He reached up and thrust it into Blaze's chest. And then he too was gone. Blaze felt an agony sweep over him like nothing he had ever imagined, as he changed.

OOC: Is the Black Knight using a sword to make the attacks?
IC: Blaze is overwhelmed by the volley of attacks and collapses to the floor in a crumpled heap. But before the Black Knight can finish him, a small ring of fire develops around him. He looks up at the Black Knight, eyes flaming. "What makes you think you will succeed this time? After all, blind faith did not work the first time you attempted to slay me..."
Blaze rises, now fully enveloped in flames. With rage to match the Black Knight's, Blaze yells and tackles him in a burst of flames.
OOC: I'm thinking Blaze is a bit of a cross between Red Hulk and Prof. Hulk. Red Hulk because if he gets too angry he'll overheat (which is happening now), and Prof. because if he gets too angry (or loses contact with the full moon), he reverts to mad human form (which already happened).
{JAMMERS! -RuleJJ- ONLY!} Hmm, I like this. Just a quick question (although perhaps I'm not supposed to know the answer yet). Why did the Black Knight attack them?

OOC: Yes, he is.
IC: The Black Knight drops the sword as they begin to wrestle. "As I recall, it was your lack of faith that proved your undoing the last time, Hunter. You should have stood by me as you always had. True leaders are made, not born. I will not have everything that is mine taken from me!"
Alpida lurches to her feet and rushes over to them. Seeing the situation and not wanting to harm the Black Knight, she forgoes a weapon and kicks at Blaze with any openings she can find.
{JAMMERS! -yisrael2- ONLY!} Since you asked me not to tell you, I'll hold off for now. It does have to do with the man Gethin whom the Black Knight mentioned.
"Straight could work. You make the call this time."
"Straight it is." With their torchlight flickering off the walls, they return to the intersection and head forward. After a short distance, the path splits again. One way heads to the left before curving forwards, and the other heads to the right before doing the same.

"Let's try left this time."
Following the passage, they see what looks to be another empty room splitting off to their left. Moving past it, they see the passage shift right again and join with another. It seems that the two directions merged once again into a single passage.

They reach another four-way intersection.
Smiles. "Yeah, don't get caught. We need to check out what guards they have before we make a solid plan..... Straight?"
"You're right. Let's scout it out. Fine with me."
They take a few steps forward and are immediately met by three figures stepping out of the shadows. One is the stout woman who was present during Tasha's interrogation in the Gift Horse's Mouth. Another is Tremble, who she met at the Hand's barracks, and the third is a dour-looking man with a long face. Three more step out from the tunnel to their left -- two unfamiliar men and the healer, Murmur. And from the right three more familiar faces arrive, Beaming, Mattock, and Planted. "What in the world are ya doin' 'ere? Ya know this is a literal war zone, right?"

Tall Wymond speaks up. "And all o' you knew what ya were doin' the first time ya got involved in a war?"
Beaming gives him a hard look, an expression that is startling to see on her normally cheery face. "If that's what this is about, Wymond --."
"No, no, I'm sorry." Tall Wymond cuts her off. "Look, you're right, this is a war, and not a pretty one. You're needin' all the 'elp ya can get, am I right?"
Planted looks at him, clearly unimpressed. "Tall, Wymond, are you suggesting you're 'ere to 'elp fight?"
"Well, no, not that either. But we 'appen to know there's someone 'ere who might come in real 'andy in this type of scenario." He smiles nervously.
OOC: Would Tasha like to add anything at this point?

Looks at Tall Wymond confused. Then catches on. "Yes, you have a good warrior here, right under your noses."
