A new rumour is going around that 70649 is going to be a Direct to Consumer Borg Tower. I can't guarantee this is true, but it most likely is, since it came from someone who gave us a lot of other Ninjago 2019 leaks. It seems that Ninjago is going to have a Direct to Consumer set every 2 years, with the Temple of Airjitzu, Ninjago City, and now this.
Anyway, this sounds great, partly because Borg Tower looks amazing, partly because it was so important in Rebooted, partly because we've been waiting for it this long, and partly because we can get Cyrus Borg. Don't get too excited, though, because it could be microscale, like that new Hogwarts Castle. Also, most of us probably won't be able to afford it.
First off, the Ninjago app game Ride Ninja has been updated with two brand new bikes. Do they look familiar? That's because they're updated versions of Kai's Blade Cycle and Zane's Snowmobile, effectively revealing the new set altogether. It's the opposite of what I expected. I didn't care at all for a new Blade Cycle, but this new one actually looks pretty cool. I was also interested in the new Snowmobile, but to me, it looks a bit...ugly. Maybe I'll change my mind when I see the official images.
Second off, someone has seen the 2019 catalog and the new Ninjago sets in them, meaning that leaks could come very soon. Sadly, the only information we got was that the Monastery was a red facade building with another facade like Battle for Ninjago City with a gate. However, he also described it as a beauty, which makes it sound good!
Finally, a new Skulkin head was revealed. It looks good so far. Yeah, it's not that overly exciting.

I'm okay with Borg Tower being microscale, as long as it has a detailed interior and still includes regular minifigures.

I bet it will cost over $300
That makes sense, because if it is minifigure scale, it'll need to be huge. If it isn't, it'll still have to cost that much to make it look accurate.
On a random side note, I'm beggining to doubt the Ice Temple is real. It was rumoured a very long time ago, but since then, we haven't heard anything about it at all. Maybe it's just because LEGO is getting better at stopping leaks, but to me, it's seeming less likely. I hope it is real, though, because I would be sorry to get your hopes up like with the Fire Temple.
Bad news, everyone. While I checked to see if there were new rumours or even set leaks, what I found instead was that the Spinjitzu tornado pieces that were leaked earlier are indeed fake. *Sighs* How unfortunate.

This is a very interesting set of leaks we've read so far.
About the spinners, do we know if they will make new spinners for new characters, or closely re-releasing previous spinners? And will it include the battle cards?

No spinners for new characters, as far as I know. Also, even though those leaked spinner pieces are fake, I still doubt they'll be close re-releases, since every other set is getting a major update.

I do not own the fire temple, nor do I own or plan to own the Ice Temple if it is real. A minifigure scale set will be over $1000 I bet.

People would much rather spend $1000 on a comic con exclusive minifigure. There's no way Borg Tower could sell decently at that price, so if it is minifigure scale, it'll be slightly downscaled to be more affordable.

Ah, ok. I suppose the new major updates will be very good as the newer pieces nowadays have increased the strength of the set very well.

On a minifigure? Why?
Not just any minifigure, a comic con exclusive minifigure. People try to take advantage of their rarity by selling them online for ridiculous prices.
Minifigures are getting fully leaked! We just got a new photo of Cole, Nya and...wait. That has to be Master Wu without his beard, right? Or is that...could it be? Is that the First Spinjitzu Master? It surely can't be. Anyway...
The new masks look a bit awkward from this angle, but I think I'll get used to them.
So Cole isn't becoming the grey ninja? Good.
The figures look really cool to me, especially Nya and Cole. I'm not exactly a fan of red and blue being used again, but the figures look pretty decently detailed yet simple, which works very nicely.
More leaks are definitely coming soon! Now discuss, because I don't want to be alone here.
I really don't know what to think of the Sensei-without-beard: he looks an awful lot like the FSM, since he's wearing Sensei's black robes but doesn't have the Wu face. If it is the FSM... well, I'll suspend judgment.
As for Nya and Cole, I think they both look fantastic. The new hood mold might take a little bit of getting used to, but I think it looks cool and is far superior to the two-piece hood introduced during The LEGO Ninjago Movie. Very interesting figures overall--I would like to see where exactly they're going with this....
