The Ninjago 2019 set names have been revealed, and interestingly enough, these will be remakes of old sets from 2011-2013. A lot of people are afraid Ninjago is ending, but these are most likely being made to celebrate 100 episodes. Ninjago has been confirmed to last until 2020 anyway, so don't worry.
I'm not sure if all of these are real, or if these are all of the sets, but it's safe to say we will be getting most of them. They are:
70659 Spinjitzu Kai 70660 Spinjitzu Jay 70661 Spinjitzu Zane 70662 Spinjitzu Cole 70663 Spinjitzu Wu 70664 Spinjitzu Lloyd vs Garmadon
70665 Zane's Icemobile 70666 The Golden Dragon 70667 Kai's Fire Bike 70668 Jay's Storm Fighter 70669 Cole's Earth Driller 70679 The Ultra Dragon 70680 Fire Temple
100 episodes...wow, Ninjago has come a long way, hasn't it?
*pops in upon being tagged* Oh, that's right, I just finished watching the new season! What were your thoughts on it, fantasius1111 ?
I thought Season 9 was a good season, and an improvement over Season 8. The plot can sometimes move slowly, but having two stories run at once made the season more interesting, and meant there was less filler. Maybe I enjoyed it because I kept my expectations low.
So, back to 2019 discussion. It's strange how there are no villain vehicles, but it's a good idea to give each ninja a vehicle/dragon as well as at least one structure. Also, there will likely be a set of the Monestary, since it will reappear in the 4 episode special event. Spinjitzu spinners returning is also interesting, since none have been made in 6 years.

There were some parts at the beginning that were a little weird for me (Chewtoy, for instance ), but all in all I got a kick out of the season and thought the creators did a fantastic job. I was astonished more than once by their twists in the story -- but I won't fangirl on you.
The Dieselnaut doesn't count as a villain vehicle? Indeed, good move there, Lego. Oh, yeah, I've heard rumors that they're revamping many of the old sets next year! I must say, I'm looking forward to that. Out of all the 2019 sets, I think I'm looking forward to the Fire Temple the most. What about you?
( I just spent the last week cleaning my room because my little sister is moving into me and flutterbird's room. Plus I could be moving. So that's why I didn't get this till now. Plus I still need to catch up on replying to stuff on here... ) Anyways, that's really interesting. Maybe they'll make the sets more like how they look in the show this time. like making enough room for all the ninja in the Earth Driller, and putting a volcano behind the Fire Temple or something.

Speculation: I remember the ninja formed their season 1 vehicles from the Golden weapons, and the Golden weapons were forged by the Overlord into his golden armor, which got blown up in Ninjago City in season 3. So what I'm thinking, is that the damage Garmadon did to Ninjago City at the end of season 9 unearthed the remnants of the golden armor, and 3 of the ninja use them to recreate their season 1 vehicles, which turn out in slightly or very different forms, since the Overlord had melted the weapons down to make his armor.
As for the Fire Temple, the ninja will probably use it as a new HQ, since Destiny's Bounty got destroyed and left in the Oni and Dragon Realm. I could picture the new Fire Temple set coming with garages for the vehicle sets, and maybe having launching functions for the new type of spinners (if there is a new type of spinner).
If the Ultra Dragon is returning, I hope they have an excuse for why it was gone for seven seasons. Maybe it was smashed at some point, and the powers Lloyd regained at the end of season 9 will be used to resurrect it.
Cole's Earth Driller wasn't destroyed back in season 2; if I remember correctly, it ran out of fuel and was left on the Dark Island. So I'm guessing either Cole retrieves it from there, or we'll see it already in his possession, like Kai's Fire Mech in season 5.

Honestly, I think the sets won't tie into the story in any way and will just be there to commemorate 100 episodes. Remember, Lloyd lost his golden power, so the golden dragon can't exist anymore. And yes, the Ultra Dragon is dead, and there is no way Lloyd's power can bring it back. As for the Fire Temple, the ninja will be using the Monestary as their HQ, so I don't see why they would live in the Fire Temple.

So it has been revealed that the Samurai X Mech and the Monestary of Spinjitzu are getting remade in 2019. It's good that Nya isn't getting pushed to the side, and the Monestary was expected since it will reappear in the show, but it's still a good addition.

If Ninjago is ending in 2020. I wonder what LEGO show would they work on afterwards?

Huh? I never said anything about Ninjago ending in 2020, so you must have misread my post. Ninjago is also an evergreen theme, and it has been said to have "a bright future", so there is nothing pointing towards it. I'm not saying it's definitely continuing after 2020, I'm just saying that it doesn't seem likely.
I think we should get back on topic, because this thread isn't about Ninjago possibly ending.

Well I think it'd make more sense for the Fire Temple to be the HQ, since the original monastery got completely destroyed. Hopefully this wave won't be another Bionicle Stars situation, with downsized versions of older sets.
