Now we have leaked pictures of the sets themselves!
I guess we should start with the ninja vehicles that dominate this wave. First off, Lloyds Titan Mech, which is...wow. That honestly looks more like a MOC than a LEGO set, and I love it for that. The Shuricopter and Off-Road motorcycle are also great builds with interesting design choices and lots of detail, but the 4x4 Katana doesn't impress me that much.
The Land Bounty looks pretty ugly to me. It was one of the sets I was most interested in, but it ended up looking unfinished and not even resembling Destiny's Bounty all that much. What a disappointment.
The Fortress in the Icy Ice or whatever it's supposed to be called is a really nice looking structure. The Ice Dragon is definitely interesting, since it obviously belongs to the villains, so I'd like to see what role it plays in the story. The only set for the fire mummy snakes is, well, a giant fire snake, and it's also a great build. I actually prefer it over the Great Devourer. The Attack of the Ice Samurai is just a small, cheap build, with nothing special to it.
The Spinjitzu Slam sets look a lot like the Spinjitzu sets we had this Winter, but with slightly different molds, exclusive minifigures, and launchers. Their functionality looks like that of the Spinjitzu Master sets from last year, though I think it will be more interesting with the new molds.

So yeah, another good wave.
Where did you find the pictures? I found one, but it's a wide shot of the whole wave, so you can't see much.
Honestly I'm not so sure what they're trying to do with two villainous factions... and why snakes again? This is the fourth time snakes have been bad guys.
The two villain factions are probably some main plot point in the story. But yeah, Ninjago's writers seem to have a serious thing for snakes. It's getting kind of ridiculous.
I still don't get why the Vermillion weren't bugs or worms or something instead of snakes. I guess LEGO though that would drive squeamish kids away.

The Attack of the Ice Samurai sounds like one of those sets that's a cheap way to get good minifigures. What characters are in it?

It includes an ice samurai, Lloyd, and a big white wolf.

Maybe so--though what about the kids who are scared of sneks?

Thanks for the news! I wasn't expecting to be impressed by this wave due to the rerun snake villains, but I am remarkably interested in these sets. I think the weakest ones are the Shuricopter and the 4x4 Katana, as the former is basically an uglier Rattlecopter in white and the latter seems bizarrely chunky. The Land Bounty and the Ice Fortress thing are both okay. The Bounty looks generally decent, but I'm not so sure about all those wheels or their integration into the set. The Fortress is a pretty generic location-based set, and I don't feel strongly on it one way or the other. The giant fire snake looks all right, although the throne (is it a throne?) on its head is definitely weird and I'm not liking the hinged tail--I appreciate the functionality, but the appearance is slightly off. The Off-Road Motorcycle looks awesome, due in no small part to my obsession with treads, and the Titan Mech is absolutely fantastic. I will definitely be eying those two when the wave is released.
As for the Spinjitzu Slam sets... er... the headgear is a little disturbing. Why did they make it look like every ninja's head is spontaneously combusting?
{JAMMERS} If the rumors are true and she can turn into a wolf I'm very excited! Otherwise even they are different characters I'm still hyped. They are using a wolf! YES!
