I've been watching the rest of the series for a while. I stopped before watching Possesion, but then I started again. Do you know the best place to watch old seasons?
Well, if you have been watching the rest of the series, then you should know a good place to watch it.
I've been watching it on YouTube. That's definitely not a good place to watch it though.
I tried to tag you before, but you didn't notice. There has been a lot of Ninjago news recently, so what do you think?
Legacy was okay? Just toy advertisements. Could've definitely been worse.
Trailers for S10 look good.
It would make sense for Cole to die. They want to kill a character, but Kai was the first main character, Lloyd is the current main character, Jay is too funny, Zane's already died, Nya, erm, equalism, and Cole is the only one they could pull off killing. However, we saw him disappear in the trailer, which tells me otherwise. The trailers are showing us what the creators want us to see. He could die at the beginning of the series, but that would have less impact, and he would probably come back near the finale. Also, if he died and came back in the middle of the series, him dying at the finale would have less effect.
Basically, at this point, I'm just letting the creators do their thing. They have it under control, and speculation won't change anything, so i'll just enjoy the ride.
So, now we know how the Legacy sets will tie into the story.
A new miniseries called Tales from the Monastery of Spinjitzu got released, which focuses on the ninja remembering events from the first 2 seasons. There are 6 short episodes, and each one of them features 1 or 2 of the Legacy sets. One notable thing is that Green and Gold actually shows the Spirit Coves for the first time. It's also interesting that the Earth Driller actually did return, thanks to Nya rebuilding or making a replica of it. I admit, it would have been cool if all of these things could have returned, but it means that March of the Oni can focus more on the, well, Oni.
Speaking of March of the Oni, a new trailer got released, and just like the first one, it doesn't show that much from the movie. We still don't have a full look at the Oni, but we did get a closer look at the one that was teased in the last trailer. The other new things shown are the dark cloud spreading through other Realms, including the Underworld and Cloud Kingdom, Garmadon fighting the ninja on Destiny's Bounty, Cyrus Borg finally returning, Lloyd going into the dark cloud, and Cole falling. Yes, that's what Tommy Andreasen meant when he said that one ninja would fall. Cole literally falls.
I really hope we get at least one set based on this. While the Legacy sets do celebrate the 100th episode, it would be disappointing not to have any actual sets based on the TV movie that has the 100th episode in it, especially after the Oni got so much hype. Besides, not releasing any sets based on it would be a really bad marketing decision. Since we've seen so little of the Oni, I'm guessing that the trailers are just deliberately hiding a lot of the new stuff in this movie.
The things about March of the Oni, Legacy, the differing sets and all were confusing me, but now I'm glad that miniseries came out so I can tell the difference. All the new names were confusing.
The trailer's cool. I'm probably going to watch it at least another half-dozen times. I'm looking forward to seeing the Oni officially revealed--they're probably just building up the drama, thus showing us only clouds of black, inky smoke in the trailer--and WHOA, involving the other realms in this! Didn't see that coming--I wonder if they'll stick in another Chima reference, or even a Nexo Knights clip. Seeing Cyrus Borg again will be fun, although I'm really looking forward to meeting the new character Antonia. Whether it's just a cameo or she becomes a canon side character, I'd really like to see her.
And. . . "one of the ninja will fall". Cole falling. Off the Bounty. Literally falling. Is that really what you meant, Tom--? XD I should've seen that coming. GG, m8.
We probably will be seeing some sets soon. I just hope they're great.
By the way, did anyone else notice that in a few clips, Nya was wearing a qipao dress in the same style as her original red one, but blue? Not all the same, just a few random clips. Maybe this has something to do with Jay proposing to her, because none of the other ninja seemed to be in their casual clothes. I'm wondering what the point of it is.
Since the 100th episode is approaching, I decided to rewatch the pilots.
Honestly, I wasn't looking forward to it, since the runtime of 43 minutes made me feel like it was going to be very rushed. However, after rewatching it, it's not nearly as rushed as I remember, and in that runtime, I really don't think they could have done any better. I still think it would have been better if it was 4 episodes long, like March of the Oni, because it would have allowed for a lot more development, but it's not that bad.
Now I'm looking forward to rewatching the rest of the series because, again, the 100th episode is approaching, and I never watched that much from the early seasons. Would you like to rewatch the rest of the series?
Aww, nostalgia. :3 Yeah, I know I would like to re-watch the series soon, especially what with the 100th episode coming up. It'll be fun to look back and see how much everything and everybody's grown in the Ninjago world since the original pilots.

Actually, the creators never said that a character would die, just that "One ninja will fall", which could mean something else. In fact, Cole literally falls in the second trailer.

Oh...my...bricks. We now have the names of the Summer sets!
70671 Lloyd's Adventures 70672 Cole's Off-Road Motorcycle 70673 Shuricopter 70674 Fire Cross 70675 4x4 Katana 70676 Lloyd's Titan Robot 70677 Land Bounty 70678 The Forgotten Emperor's Castle 70681 Spinjitzu Slam Lloyd 70682 Spinjitzu Slam Jay 70683 Spinjitzu Slam Zane 70684 Spinjitzu Slam Kai vs Samurai
Keep in mind that we don't know if these are for March of the Oni or Season 10/11, there could be Spinjitzu Slam sets for Cole and Nya, and that I slightly changed the names from the original leak to make more sense.
I tried to tag you before, but you didn't notice. There has been a lot of Ninjago news recently, so what do you think?
Did you see what Tommy said about Tales from the Monastery of Spinjitzu on Twitter? Apparently it's canon but the designs are irrelevant because it's mostly the ninja's imaginations, so I like that. My favorite is Green and Gold because it kinda explains where the Ultra Dragon went and it shows the Spirit Coves, plus it had lot of emotion and heart to it.
The trailer is cool. Cerious to see what exactly the black smoke is and what actually happens to the people taken by it. Also it looks like the Oni go back to the first realm to attack the dragons, wonder why they wouldn't have sooner? I'm not really worried about the ninja themselves, even Cole, I probably trust the writers to much.
I've been rewacthing the series with my younger siblings since they are finally at the age where they enjoy it. We're on season two by now and I think my little brother is becoming a Ninjago fan, I've trained him well.
The Forgotten Emperor's Castle sounds really interesting, I'm really cerious how that'll tie into the story.
We're getting minifigures of the Oni after all! A new minifigure pack with 3 Oni, including the villain seen in the trailer, has been leaked. It's clear that March of the Oni will not be getting sets, and the Summer sets will be focused on a new season, but this pack will still be giving us minifigures of them. As much as I would have liked to see sets, I'm just glad that we did get minifigures of the main villains, who have been built up for such a long time.

...So apparently there's a short Oni...? Didn't see that one coming.
I don't know why they're making this pack. Does this actually mean that March of the Oni won't get any sets? Are they not making sets for it just because it's a four-episode "special" and not a full season? They made sets for Day of the Departed, and that was just a 44-minute special....
Anyway, I'm unimpressed. All of the torsos for the Oni are the same, which is disappointing, and the horns on the leader are an even more absurd size than new-design Kai's hair. Most of the details on them are difficult to see because they're mostly black. I guess they just figure that Ninjago fans will snap this thing up no matter what the Oni look like and how much it costs, since the Oni will be entirely exclusive to the pack?
