Anybody here know how to watch the new seasons of ninjago? I still have not watched season 8. Or season 9. I have tried youtube, and that does not help. And I don't have hulu or Netflix, or any of that. Any tips would be helpful!
Hmmm.... Well, I have mediacom on demand and the episodes are on there. If you have cable then there's usually some kind of on demand sort of thing. BTW, season 9 episodes are all clumped together to make hour long "specials" I guess. If you saw an extremely long-looking thing on Youtube that might have been it.
The new Ultra Dragon has finally been revealed, and just like the others, it is a huge improvement from the original.
Well, except for the fact that there are stud shooters on the sides of the heads, but those can easily be removed. The rest of the build looks much better, particularly the heads, which are done in the same style as Stormbringer and look better than the molded heads. However, I think I'll have to see it from more angles to fully decide if it is a great set, but for now, I love the new design.
If these sets do tie into the story, my guess is that this is a new Ultra Dragon, and not the one from the first 2 seasons. What I'm thinking is that the dragons from Season 9 went to the Spirit Coves to merge together into an even stronger dragon and return to help the ninja, just like the old one. I say this because the first Ultra Dragon is dead, and the new heads don't really look like the old ones. If it is the first one, the ninja could go to the Realm of Oni and Dragons and use the Golden Weapons to ressurect it.
So far I love it. Definitely the best set in my opinion. It's also the biggest upgrade. My biggest problem is that it's less accurate to the show. Your ideas for how it might tie in to the show are interesting.
Yeah, I wish they kept the sets accurate to the shows, even if they were accurate in 2012.

In my opinion, the 2012 version is better and more accurate. But maybe that's only because I actually own the original, and it's one of my favorite sets in all of ninjago.

No, the show version is accurate to the 2012 set.
Honestly, the original did not look good to me at all, so I don't care if the new one isn't accurate to the show. The build is more complex and looks a lot better than the original, especially the use of brick-built heads, so I like it more.

Yeah, I wish they kept the sets accurate to the shows, even if they were accurate in 2012.
The show is based on the sets, not the other way around. Personally, I think improving on the original builds is much more important than accuracy.

At least Jay's Storm Fighter, the Golden Dragon, Zane's Snowmobile, and the Monastery look accurate to the show this wave.

Well, this is it. The Hageman Brothers have written their final episode, and are leaving the show.
While it is sad that they will no longer be involved, the 8 seasons that they worked on have left a huge impact on Ninjago. Bragi Schut has written some episodes for Seasons 8 and 9, and he has already shown that he does know how to handle the characters and story without ignoring character development and continuity *Cough*Hands of Time*Cough*. Even they have said that Ninjago is safe in his hands, and of course, most of the crew members who have worked on Ninjago for the past 8 years will still be around. However, the Hagemans should still be credited for many of the things that made past seasons so great, and their influence should not be forgotten.
Goodbye, Hageman brothers
(Yes, I despise Hands of Time, but I'll respect your opinion if you like it. Unless you like it for bad reasons. )

That's... surprising. It's a staggering blow to Ninjago as a whole, I think--I wonder if this will effect it long-term. Even though I didn't always like the material produced by the Hagemans, I am thankful for all the work and effort they put in.
Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to say that I completely agree with you regarding Hands of Time and we should bash it together sometime. =P

What are these timely hands you speak of?
The season of Ninjago that should have been called Season 7: Wasted Time.

Since the episodes written by Bragi Schut have been quite good, I trust him to keep on writing Ninjago.
