Letting a breath out, the jitters began tingling in his stomach as the enormity of the choice he had made settled in behind the determination in his eyes. King nodded and a small smile traced briefly across his face. "I'm very happy you choose to join us. Welcome Conner Oakhurst. I think we have a lot to mutually learn." King turned his focus to Lilly who gave her verbal mission brief report. Con only picked up bits and pieces as most of it was in complicated sounding jargon. Next thing he knew King was moving them all out into the hallway, Lilly turned to face him. "Bye Conner. I was glad to meet you, I'll see you in a couple days." She ruffled his hair which mildly annoyed him, but he figured long ago that there was just some unexplained thing about his hair that made people mess it up. His brother looked slightly mournful and slightly reproachful as Lilly shot him a glance. "You just got back." "Yeah, I know. I don't like it much either. But you heard the boss, a leak in Pakistan is a major necessitation of a Eagle to manage." Nexo reluctantly shrugged, "Okay. I'll see you when I get back then." Lilly lightly touched him on the shoulder in farewell as she moved back towards the front of the building. "Hey agent." King sympathetically addressed Nexo. "Come on, let's go check out that lab like you wanted to. After you see the facilities will get you settled for a few tests."
Okay.... wheeew, the end of a very long chapter. XD But the next few chapters should be fun!
One part right after another. Sweet.
How does he know his name....? King, you creeping me out. xD My turn! *Messes with Conner’s hair.* I so lost.

Con followed his brother's back down the endless plethora of clean silver hallways. By the time they had reached the four inch double glass doors that opened into the lab Con was completely lost. He watched with interest as King swiped his ID card then gave a rental scan. King smiled in an easygoing manner at them as they waited for the heavy doors to ponderously swing wide. "Well agents, this is going to be a great step forward for the whole world." The instant Con stepped thought those shiny doors he was assulted by activity and and noises as busy people in crisp white lab coats bustled around, wholly absorbed in their conversations. Ignoring the newcomers to their domain. Con's head whipped back and forth as he attempted to take in all the massive amounts of information around him. Enourmous super computers of a futuristic kind were everywhere flashing and making noises to accompany the complex computations, agents in almost skin tight suits with nodes attached all over preformed tasks as white flocks of labbies consulted the results. Mechanical things whirred around on their bases as they were tested out. Con was rudely disturbed from his fact gathering as a pill shaped, hovering, madly beeping droid hurtled past nearly colliding with his legs! Stifling a rude word he drifted back to where King was shaking hands in a familial way with a young man wearing the already very familiar lab coat. King grinned and introduced the man before them, "Boys, this is our best scientist on staff. Dr. Dylan Mathews, this is Nexo and his younger brother Conner." Dr. Mathews blinked intelligently at the teens from behind his glasses and the dark brown falling in front of his brown eyes. Conner eyed the young man before them, he couldn't have been older than 19 maybe 20, but he looked younger. "Hello." the good docter was quiet but seemed nice. The brothers offered their greetings and then followed King and Dr. Mathews down yet another corridor an into a smaller room. It had four cubicles in it and the boys were briskly entered into one each and left to change into identical suits that Con had seen on other agents earlier.

Good thing their clean. Wouldn’t want a health vialation on our hands. What is this place? NCIS? Never trust a machine. Isn’t that the user in that one RP? Woo! Quick change!
Fifteen? Your family rules sound a lot like my family's rules. She's not on here too, is she? *suspicious glance* Pie charts are easy, graphs are harder.
How do you know Armadillos don't? Well then, how do you explain THIS?
Yes. XD Very muchly so. Ask me again sometime. Most things technical tend to make me confused.
Because there aren't tons of books and movies and stories about armadillos being like that. There just isn't. Dogs have won their title as man's best friends for a reason Chet. That's called separation anxiety and it needs to be addressed. The fact that it can be addressed and managed is what makes dogs not wild animals. Wild animals are animals that retain wild and uncontrollable, untrainable behaviors through their life whether hand reared or not.
At least, the family rules after me. I somehow got away with watching PG-13 movies at 13...*gasp* so scandalous. ...is she or is she not?
I didn't say armadillos were going to be man's best friend...more like most epic sidekick! I'm gonna prove you wrong. *adopts armadillo*
After coming out they found that King had left to attend to business. Dr. Mathews calmly unstructed them to lay on surprisingly comfortable beds. The teens complied, albeit somewhat apprehensively. A moment after they did that the Docter began afixing dozens of small nodes all over Con's suit. Nexo jumped when a new face appeared over him. The new tech assistant wore a friendly and non threatening grin streched across his face and he spoke cheerfully as he began fixing nodes to Nexo's suit. "Hello there, sorry I gave you a start heh heh. I'm Mathews' new assistant. The names Luke, Luke Andrew Falton. You don't need to tell me your name, I hear all about you. In fact your the buzz in the hive as they say. Well really, I say it mostly, but I'm hoping it'll catch on." Nexo could only nod, he was struggling with bad memories from the last time he could remember being in a lab and his nerves were sizzling with anxiety. Taking a deep breath he consciously relaxed his tensed muscles and tuned into what Luke was chatting about. Just in time to see Luke hold up the empty syringe that had just been used on him. His eyes widened briefly then drifted more and more closed. He fought it, more or less sick of being drugged with out warning but eventually he could do nothing but give in and drift away on a fuzzy black sensation.
Oh boy. Luke take good care of him. He seems to be panicking.
Nexo came out of it sluggishly. His eyes were blurry and felt full of grit, and his throat felt like it had cotton stuffed in it. In fact his whole body ached, he felt saturated in chemicals. He knew that the doctors had put a lot of drugs in him lately, and he felt like it was not for the better. Nexo slowly sat up then made his way into the adjacent bathroom. Sinking down in front of the toilet Nexo let the toxic medicinal liquid come back up in the natural purge his body used to cleanse it's self. He rested his forehead a moment wearily, then after a few moments felt everything settled more comfortably back into rhythm. He felt much better and moved back into the room to sit on the bed. Con was stirring near by. Soon he sat up and rubbed a hand through his thatch of bed head. Con slowly became aware of the things around him including his brother. "I feel kinda off." "Yeah, the meds do that to you. You settle in a minute since you've had less than me." Con drank the glass of water on his nightstand and soon felt better. In the quite as they waited for something to happen Con made up his mind that it was a good a time as ever to get some of his questions answered, and re-know his brother. He plunged straight in, "Why is everyone calling you "Nexo"?" Nexo shifted, displaying that he was recalling something uncomfortable. "Wellll....it's kinda hard to explain. After I lost you, mom started to lose her grip. I had seen the signs ever since the house burned....but now she really just fell deeper then she could get out..."
