The entire trip back to his small house and all through dinner and the rest of the evening he chewed on what he had read. The words to the memo had been slightly concerning, sure. But there was something more, a gut feeling or what he didn't know. However as he tossed and turned trying to sleep that night he finally made up his mind. He was going to search every file and computer that his boss kept in that office. Daxon had a day long meeting on wednesday and Alex planned to make his move then. It was risky as he couldn't be sure when his boss might return, but he needed to see what he could, before fridays CEO meeting started the destruction of any existing information. With his mind made up Alex managed to drift off, shortly before 11:00.
Alex put on a spectacular show of calmness wednesday, he managed to look completely stoic and calm. He considered that a small miracle. He had never been particularly good under pressure but this time he managed. Alex waited thirty minutes after Daxon left partially for the look of it, and partially to make sure that the boss didn't come back unexpectedly. Then he quickly made his way up and nervously began opening drawers in file cabinets. After thirty minutes of this, he had gone through the minimal amount of paperwork Daxon kept around. Sitting in front of the computer he flexed his fingers nervously before moving the mouse and waking it up. After poking around for a few precious moments he started getting into the files he was looking through. There wasn't a ton of stuff, as it looked like it had all been wiped a month ago, but there was quite enough to satisfy Alex. Names, companies, suspicious memos and documents. It all looked like a massive confusing, interconnected knot of stuff that all led in circles. "Oookay. This is...." Tensing up even more, it all started to fall into place. "I need to get out of here. I have to leave. Right now." Standing up and walking to the door automatically he grabbed his stuff and practically ran to the car. Kicking into high gear he sped home and stuffed everything he would need to live off of for a while into a duffle bag and a backpack. He changed out of his business clothes and into street clothes. Choosing a black t-shirt that would blend in well and putting on his favorite pair of cargo pants. Lacing up his hiking boots, he double checked the house to make sure it would be good abandoned. He grabbed his stuff and climbed back into his car, a few miles from the airport he ditched the nice car in a much lower class neighborhood. He was relying on the residents to take care of the car long before anybody found it that he didn't want to. Alex trugged to the airport with a sole thought in his mind. He needed to get out of the country. Pausing in front of the large board detailing all the flights and their destinations he let people and commotion flow around him.
Benjamin Seysoe slowly turned his chair from side to side behind his desk. This friday's meeting had not gone well, for the first time in twenty years a meeting seemed to have brought up actual concerns for the Organization. Apparently on wednesday some secretary in Universal, the head office for their group mind you, had disappeared with no explanation. Investigation of his house reported he hadn't been there since at least then. Then Daxon had gotten worried and checked his computer. The boss was not happy. In fact that was the only time Benjamin could recall this boss losing his temper in a meeting before. The previous boss had mysteriously died three years ago and a new one had stepped into his place. The strange thing was, it hadn't been one of them, one of the CEO's in the Organization. To add to suspicion no one had actually seen the young new boss except Mia K. Malloane, his acting mouthpiece when he wasn't present and second in charge. Benjamin stared past his steepled fingers and blinked thoughtfully. This whole operation had taken twenty years to carefully craft, he had dedicated twenty years of his life to this endeavour. Working his way from the very bottom, up the ladder so he could be in position to help achieve the Organization's goal. He wasn't going to sit by and let some freshly graduated boy come by and take out his life's work. He reached for the phone and called his friend in the N.Z.S.I.S. (New Zealand Security Intelligence Service) they owed him a favor and it was time to deliver.

It had been a month since that ungrateful secretary had gone sticking his nose where it shouldn't have been. Daniel Daxon was not a man with lots of patience for things not going his way and what little he had had been used up by the ridiculous situation he had been put in by this kid. When the boss had heard of this he had blown up and, of all things, accused Daxon of being too smug in his position. And even worse of being incompetent, careless, foolhardy and gibe worthy! How dare that upstart, Daxon was getting red in the face with rage just thinking about it. Leaning back in his chair he took deep breaths and tried to focus on lowering his blood pressure. He had given Benjamin plenty of time to try to catch that college boy and he had failed him so far. Daxon made up his mind to call Benjamin and tell him he had one more week to find the boy or make progress on it. Then when Benjamin inevitably failed he would take over, and when he found that brat he was going to make him pay dearly.
So any of the things said by characters in these chapters are totally not real and neither I nor the users playing them hold those opinions, unless otherwise expressed by me or them. They're only there because I'm doing my best to make it realistic. XD
After that disclaimer, anyone have any questions about the characters? I can tell ages, countries, and various other things but I reserve the right to not answer questions that would have spoilers. Or simply because I didn't know the answer. XD Anyways ask me anything!

I have a question. If a ballerina was to wear two tutus, would she then be wearing a fourfour?
