Greetings all, and welcome to No Gravity... This is an original story inspired in part by a video game called “Lone Echo” (Disclaimer! Lone Echo is rated T. I do not own nor claim ownership of the game.) The story is a futuristic dystopia set in space. I am looking forward to writing this story very soon!

N-81 surged to life with a jolt, face to face with his handler, Whitney Amberson. W.A. had been his handler since his creation. She was the captain of their cruise ship, the Lunar Dawn.
“Greetings Captain Amberson!”
“No time for formalities Nate,” she said absently. The ship rocked violently. “We’re caught in a violent meteor storm. We’ve lost all sonar tracking. We’re flying blind up here.”
“Did the gravity slingshot maneuver work?”
“Negative, we are currently in the middle of performing it.”
“Captain, you know it is against protocol to wake a droid during large scale maneuvers. The Dire-“
“I don’t care what the director says, Nate, I need you to fix that sonar panel.”
“But-“
“Nate!”
“…Affirmative. New directive received. Repair sonar panel.” If N-81 could speak begrudgingly, he would have. He was programmed to simulate emotions, not feel them. He never really knew if what he was feeling was happiness, or sadness, or annoyance. He disengaged the harness that held him in place. Alarms blared.
“We’ve lost our thrusters! We’re caught in the planet’s gravity with no thrust to keep us from falling! Nate-“
She never got to finish her sentence. A large meteor struck the side of the vessel’s bridge, ripping a massive gash through it. Oxygen hissed, the now white air rushing through the breach in the hull. The artificial gravity system failed, and N-81 was dragged towards the lethal opening. He grabbed a control panel with one hand, and reached back to grab WA’s wrist. He turned just in time to see her sucked out into the void. He turned back, not even feeling a small glimmer of sadness. A localized shield formed around the doomed bridge, cutting off the outflow of oxygen and effectively sealing the breach. N-81 released the control panel and floated aimlessly, emotionless.
I’M SORRY GUYS, I DONE GOOFED! I FORGOT TO WRITE THE NEW CHAPPIES YESTERDAY! SO, REST ASSURED THAT I AM WORKING HARD TO GET THOSE WRITTIN, AND POSTED LATER TODAY! IN THE MEAN TIME, ENJOY MOTHERS DAY WITH YOUR MOMS!
N-81 came back to his digital senses when he suddenly slammed into the floor. The gravity of the planet must be pulling me down, he thought. That means there’s a 98% chance we are going to crash, and an 80% chance we will all die. Lunar Dawn groaned loudly, the doomed space cruiser on a spiraling crash course with the planet. Another explosion rocked the vessel, the stabilizing jets were lost. The ship keeled over on it’s side, then it was upside down, then sideways, then right side up, then upside down, round and round it spun. For a second, as he was thrown against the glass viewport, N-81 glimpsed the surface of the planet spin by. The surface was gray, and dotted with craters, a volcanic wasteland. Another flashing glimpse, and he saw a desert, dotted with small spots of green and white. A third glimpse revealed an icy arctic, massive glaciers on their slow migration path, falling apart to splash down in the blue ocean. One more glimpse showed dense jungle, some areas cleared out. Another glimpse, a large area of grass filled plains. N-81 was trying to map it all out, but the glimpses were fleeting as the Lunar Dawn drove itself downward, groaning, creaking, shaking, alarms blaring the song of imminent doom. N-81 pondered what it would be like to die in a fiery crash. Sure, he could always move his AI to another shell, but what if all the other shells were destroyed? Would everything just go…black? He suddenly realized he would find out very soon as he saw the dense jungle racing up to meet him.
He would have closed his eye if he could. He would have screamed, but he felt no terror. Lunar Dawn slammed into the jungle floor, mowing down trees as if they weren’t there. Through the soft earth it drove, sending dirt flying into the air as it carved it’s gash into the planet’s surface. N-81 was thrown around violently. Lunar Dawn slowed to a halt, moaned and creaked one last time, then was silent forevermore. The shield flickered out, the breach was open. But no air rushed out. Instead, warm humidity floated in, filling the bridge with fog. N-81 staggered to his feet, sparks flying out of him. His hydraulics squeaked and popped, the orange fluid leaking from the hydraulic tubes. His great camera eye flickered, a massive crack in the protective glass lens that covered the camera. He stumbled forward, catching himself on a control panel. He sank to the floor, his weak limbs unable to carry him. He dragged himself forward towards the breach. The simulated emotion of curiosity was burning in him. A flickering message popped up in his vision. Power failure imminent. No… His vision went black as his power unit gave out with a loud snap. A new message. AI transfer successful. His visual feed came online…to darkness. He was in the droid bay. A ring of LED’s around his eye blinked on, cutting through darkness. Looking down, he grasped his harness and snapped it off. He inched himself off of his seat and made the 15 foot drop to the floor, his feet clanging harshly against the steel floor. The floor however, because the ship was tilted on it’s side, was angled down. He began to slide down.
He caught the leg of a broken defense droid, still harnessed in. He looked down at his wrist, and a digital screen there blinked on. He released the leg and, as he was sliding down, tapped an icon. Four small thrusters popped out of his back. Originally designed for maneuvering through a zero gravity environment, they now stopped his fall and aided him as he climbed back up to the elevator that would take him back to the bridge. He forced the doors open and was inside the empty shaft. The elevator was most likely a pile of scrap at the bottom of the shaft somewhere. So, disabling the thrusters, he climbed. Twenty minutes later he was triumphantly climbing onto the bridge and stepping through the gash. Green. Green everywhere. He was in the middle of a jungle. Insects buzzed by, the humid air condensed on the glass of his camera eye, but dripped off. Condensation dripped heavily off the jungle leaves, landing on the mossy earth without a sound. It was beautiful… N-81 was just beginning to realize that he was alone when he heard voices. He turned in their direction to see space suited figures clambering out of the crater around the Lunar Dawn. He wasn’t alone after all. They were struggling to pull someone out of the crater. They might need help, he thought, and began to walk to them.
And that is Chapter 1, “Planetfall”! I hope you guys enjoyed! Have any comments or suggestions? Please post them! I read all comments and feedback and am always open to some criticism (preferrably the constructive kind, so I can figure out a way to make the story better... ) Now, an IMPORTANT NOTE! So, I’m now discovering that right now, because of school and stuff, it is very hard for me to manage two stories at once. As you guys might have already figured out by now that I write these stories on a word document so that I have them ready to go and just have to copy-paste them. This is a long process as I have to get them done ahead of time. Sometimes I can’t make those deadlines because of school. So, because of this, I’m going to temporarily implement an “every other day” thing. Basically I will alternate my stories. So tommorrow I will post a new Rogue Chronicles part, the next day will be No Gravity, then RC, then NG, and so on. I’m letting you guys know this so that you guys don’t think I just forgot about my stories! Also, I want to let you guys know that if I can’t get a story part up some days, I am very sorry and it’s because I’m very busy! Thanks for understanding, and I hope you have a great day!
Almost done writing today’s chappie! I’ll get it up tonight! (sorry again guys. I’ve been super busy lately. Approaching the end of the school year, so finals are approaching and all that stuff...)

Never played it. But then again, I've only really played like 6 videogames ever.
N-81 wasn’t expecting aggression. All he said was “hi”. Well, actually it was “Greetings, I am unit N-81. Do you require assistance?” whilst reaching out to the young girl who was helping the other figure out of the crater. But still, there was no reason to be afraid.
“Please do not strike me. My shell is made of a very strong aluminum-titanium compound. You will only hurt yourself.” he said in warning. But the girl did not listen, continuously pounding on him with her fists. The boy she was with now ran forward, arming himself with a large branch. He swung for N-81’s head, but N-81 was faster, catching the branch in his metal hand, and crushing it into splinters. “Please remain calm. I am not here to hurt you.” They continued attacking, clearly in a panic. Simulated annoyance now burned through his circuits. So, in a show of his good faith, he walked over and, grabbing the wrist of the figure in the crater, hauled him up onto solid ground. The attacks stopped. The boy grabbed the figure and dragged him away while the girl narrowed her eyes at the android through her spherical space helmet.
“What are you?” she asked, backing away a little.
“I am Service Droid Unit N-81. I am a Federation Engineering model Service Android tasked to the Lunar Dawn. It is my primary directive to protect the passengers while maintaining and repairing the vessel. My technical specs are-“
“That’s enough!” she said, frantically cutting him off before he could start aimlessly rambling off information she wouldn’t understand, “I get it…”
