So I thought I'd bring back my thread, Artist's Chat from the old LMB! ^_^ It doesn’t matter if you were there before or if you’re joining for the first time, feel free to join!
Do you like drawing/sketching/doodling? Do you want to discuss the woes and awesomeness of drawing with other artists? Need inspiration or having artist's block? Then this is the place for you! Chat with other artists about drawing/art and talk about what you're drawing currently!
Also feel free to add a small bio of yourself like what you like to draw and how you draw, etc, etc. But it's not necessary
My Bio~
Nickname: NZF
Method of drawing: Lots of traditional art and some digital art as well. I use a drawing tablet for digital art and I use a whole bunch of different supplies for traditional including markers and colored pencils Genre of drawing: Fanart. Mostly of Ninjago
Styles of drawing: Manga (It's more like my style than typical manga but manga is the best way I can think to describe it ^_^), LEGO (I started drawing minifigures in late 2013), and MLP (Started in... I have no idea maybe late 2011 or early/mid 2012, that's just a guess)
Music I listen to while drawing: Mostly random music which is usually pop, kpop or music that reflects what I'm drawing which is sometimes instrumental/soundtrack music but not all the time.

Also uh for the mods' sake, try not to post any art directly here ^^' Since I think it would make things a lot harder for them and I don't want anybody getting in trouble or anything ._. Just discuss what you're working on
Heyo, I like drawing. I hate art, though. Go figure.
Nickname: Con, but you probs knew that.
Method of Drawing: I use mechanical pencils to sketch everything, copy it on a printer, then proceed to color it in with my collection of color pencils. It's a CONstant battle as a lefty to not smudge my stuff.
Genre of Drawing: LEGO, or movie stuff.
Styles of Drawing: Dunno that mine has a name or anything, but I do really detailed miniature sketches. Dark lines, lots of really hard to spot small stuff.
Music: Electro, Pop, Clean Rap, or maybe even some really old Rock.

Digital art is cool, something I haven't ever really dived into. I'm taking a class on Photoshop right now, in hopes to maybe get into some of that.

I think there are other programs to help with Digital Art like Procreate on iPad Pro. As for a computer art I think you do need a wacom tablet if you want to go into detail but Photoshop should work just fine... Photoshop is more of a photo editor though. (Like Lightroom etc)

Yeah, so I have discovered. I really ought to look into a drawing tablet or something, it's super frustrating to smudge all my pencil drawings.

I don't know how a drawing tablet would work for a left-hander but it must be a lot better than using a mechanical pencil...

Cool I've been trying to practice digital a bit more recently as I've been kinda neglecting it since I've been mostly doing traditional lately ^_^

Tablets are really useful. Though I went years without really using one (Though I did had one, go figure, I decided to use my built-in mouse of my laptop ). Now I use it whenever I do digital art. I've actually never had a Wacom. (Despite it being the most popular brand, I think it actually has some issues and it's very expensive) My first one I can't remember the name of and my current one is a Turcom. And I'd totally recommend Photoshop as a art program actually. Many many artists use it for art I personally use Sketchbook Pro 6, but I plan on installing Photoshop again (in addition to Sketchbook) when I get my new computer ^_^
