So I thought I'd bring back my thread, Artist's Chat from the old LMB! ^_^ It doesn’t matter if you were there before or if you’re joining for the first time, feel free to join!
Do you like drawing/sketching/doodling? Do you want to discuss the woes and awesomeness of drawing with other artists? Need inspiration or having artist's block? Then this is the place for you! Chat with other artists about drawing/art and talk about what you're drawing currently!
Also feel free to add a small bio of yourself like what you like to draw and how you draw, etc, etc. But it's not necessary
My Bio~
Nickname: NZF
Method of drawing: Lots of traditional art and some digital art as well. I use a drawing tablet for digital art and I use a whole bunch of different supplies for traditional including markers and colored pencils Genre of drawing: Fanart. Mostly of Ninjago
Styles of drawing: Manga (It's more like my style than typical manga but manga is the best way I can think to describe it ^_^), LEGO (I started drawing minifigures in late 2013), and MLP (Started in... I have no idea maybe late 2011 or early/mid 2012, that's just a guess)
Music I listen to while drawing: Mostly random music which is usually pop, kpop or music that reflects what I'm drawing which is sometimes instrumental/soundtrack music but not all the time.
Have fun! ^_^
Oh, sweet! ^-^ A place where fellow artists can chat. *Throws confetti*
Nickname: Jay
Method of drawing: I like to start off with the messiest, flowiest sketch ever, clean it up a bit and, if I like how it turns out, I ink and color it, haha. ^-^ It's the same process I use with digital art. :3 Speaking of digital art... I haven't picked up my pen tablet in a long time. :0 *Strokes mustache thoughtfully*
Styles of drawing: HMMM. I like to think that my style is very similar to an animated film's concept art. Super sketchy and very expressive. ^-^
Music: I don't usually listen to music when I'm drawing. But when I do turn on some tunes, it's usually old timey orchestra music, or 50's songs, haha.
There's tutorials which actually give you a pretty accurate result Also free-paint so you can draw whatever you want I used to draw a lot of random stuff XD
Yes, but why would I want a tutorial for something I don’t want to draw in the first place?
New topic: My latest art topic was still life and I chose to draw insects!
Cuz practice even if it's a boring subject is still practice

Welcome to Artist's Chat, Jay! I should do some digital art too, I've been doing so much traditional art it's hard to do digital XD
I have some art journals where I draw all my traditional art usually then I also have some composition books I use for doodles

Why thank you! ^-^ Haha, yeah. xP
That's cool! What's your oldest art journal you have? I have a sketchbook that's about 5 years old. I'm sure I have an older sketchbook, but that's all I could find at the moment.

Hello there!
I've tried inking a few times before, did that for a logo I attempted to draw. It makes for nice contrast.
Method of drawing: I do both traditional and digital. For traditional I'll use pencils, pens, makers, crayons, etc. And for digital I use the Ibis Paint app on my phone.
Genre of drawing: Fan art ( Mostly Ninjago and Ninjago OCs. Other fandoms too of course. ), mythical creatures and creatures I made up, dragons, animals, characters I made up, and other stuff.
Style of drawing: Not really sure how to explain it. Especially since I have different stuff that I draw.
Music I listen to while drawing: I don't usually listen to music, but when I do it's usually rock ( like The Fold and Skillet. ) Or soundtracks ( form movies or video games. ) Or some other music.

I went through a dragon phase a long while back...those things are so much fun to draw.
Skillet is good. *looks up the Fold* Oh, that's what I know 'em from. They're good too.

I know right? I don't draw them all the time like I used to, but when I remember to nowadays it's fun.
