Eh.
I agree. Plus, she wanted to take out Emperor Kusco, who was a complete jerk for the first half of the movie. Compare that with all the other villains who wanted to take out the pretty princess or the adorable lion cub, and Yzma's deal seems pretty good.
Ooh. . . Definitely "The Lion King". I'd like to be a lioness and fight for the Pride. You?

Exactly! xD I mean, if I were a villain that had to target someone, I'd go for Kuzco before the others you mentioned.
Look at how alike we are...nice to meet a fellow TLK fan Same, definitely same. The Pride Lands are like, my dream Disney destination, whether I lived there as a lioness or a human.

Absolutely. Compared to all the other unfortunate henchmen, I'd say Kronk's job wasn't too bad -- even if Yzma was a little hard on the poor guy.
Glad to meet another one, too Just they're just so darn beautiful, and there's that whole Circle of Life thing everywhere. If you had to dance with any prince at the prom, who would you dance with?

(*Phew!* ) Well generally, it's about Hans' revenge (surprise surprise ), in a nutshell consisting of Elsa's new free life being threatened by the presence of a newcomer being framed for crimes against the monarchy (which Hans is responsible for), leading to an adventure when Elsa shows mercy on the wrongly imprisoned criminal... What do you think? Wow, awesome! Is it like a mashup of Disney universes? They should really have a villain meet where they discuss their plans and make one that works.
Cool. I take it you know about the Frozen/Tarzan theory?
Heh, yeah. I knooooowwww! Everyone says that [INSERT PRINCESS HERE] is the only strong independent female character when actually, heroines like Esmerelda were kickin' it back in '96. Oh yeah, forgot about the Queens for a sec... heheh... Well technically speaking since she has Beast's Adam's & Belle's formerly enchanted tea set.
Yeah, come to think of it. I don't pay attention to the hair as much as the girl's would. But yeah, more sparkly - like a girl who put on too much makeup. I mean, some of the redesigns look good, but I'm a stickler for originals... Great, now I'm conflicted. That sounds really cool! I like the idea of Elsa having struggles with her new life; she probably faces a lot of new challenges as the queen and still has some emotional stress from her past. You should write it down sometime. You could call it "Frozen 2: Hans' Revenge", that sounds super ominous.
Yeah, basically; I try to include as many as I can. The main ones incorporated are UP, Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, The Lion King, Tangled, and Alice in Wonderland....but then there's a bunch of others thrown in, like The Jungle Book, The Princess and the Frog, Moana to name a few.
Yes! Though they have so many different enemies, I don't know who they'd plot it against. I really like seeing fanart of all the villains together; have you ever seen drawings like that?
Yeah. That one's interesting, even though I don't really believe it...too many plot holes.
Exactly! Esmeralda is a million times better than Meg and everyone just forgets about her. It annoys me, too, when people don't count the animal characters in their lineups and such. This is Disney, guys; talking animals and people are basically the same thing.
Well, there's not that many. Yeah, it's probably possible. I usually tend to take Easter eggs just for what they are, and don't try to make a theory about them -- but I do enjoy hearing them and connecting the movies in various ways, so, I guess I'm on the fence.
Right. xD Yeah, I'm the same way...I like the redesigns because they're brighter and more glittery (BRING ON THE GLITTER ) but the originals are just so classic. Really? Thank you! Yeah, Elsa would have a new set of difficulties to face as Queen, especially as word has gotten out about her powers.... Okay, Hans' Revenge sounds better than what I was gonna call it.
Cool! If I did a mashup, I would definitely want to include all if not most of the medieval worlds. (I really like medieval/fantasy in case you didn't notice. )
Oh yeah, the light of good has become strong now. Indeed I have. But more often than not I see heroes and Princesses portrayed together, like the very amusing Pocket Princesses comics.
True.
Yes! It doesn't compute, really. Unless Hercules is just generally watched more than THoND..? Ah yes, the furry heroes. I hold them in the same regard, but I don't really think about them where human heroes/heroines are concerned and vice versa. Same here. I've even come to dislike Easter Eggs 'cause I can't take the hype any more.
It seems you lean more on the side of the redesigns though.

Yes, it's all just so beautiful and peaceful. Though if that's true why is it counted in the top 3 darkest Disney movies
Heheh, weird question let's see. Naveen seems fun to dance with, considering how much he loves music and all. I don't really know for sure, but I guess I'd say Naveen, Flynn, or the Beast. What about you?

Okay, here's one: who's your favourite Prince? Yeah, I think you've got a very strong idea for a fanfic. Better than some of the random, fleeting ideas I have sometimes. Now I'm curious. What were you going to call it?
(I have noticed that, actually. I love fantasy as well. My friend is actually having a fairytale-themed party this month, and I found a cool medieval dress to wear, so that's fun. By the way, this brings up something I've been wanting to mention for a while: the medieval-looking person that was in your last signature and shows up frequently in your avatars and such, where is he from? )
Oh yeah, those are hilarious. It's fun to think about what it would be like if all the princesses lived together...ooh, they should do comics just like those but with the villains. They all wouldn't be able to tolerate each other...
It seems to be, though I'm not sure why. I can't help but groan a little every time "I Won't Say I'm in Love" shows up in the top 3 on a Disney songs ranking. "The furry heroes" needs to be another lineup now. I tend to group them together when thinking about heroes and heroines; being animal or human doesn't make that much difference to me...but, I do distinguish them sometimes.
I probably do, I'll admit.
Simba Okay, you probably mean official princes, so... Hmm. Flynn, the Beast, John Smith, and Naveen, probably in that order. Who is your favorite?
Do you have a favorite Disney sidekick?

Oooh, yeah, those coasters are great! I'd definitely enjoy those perks of the job.
Really? Probably because of that battle on Pride Rock at the end. . . so epic. What are the other two? --The only other one I can think of that's a dark Disney movie is The Black Caldron.
Hey, I'm just trying to keep the conversation going. Hm, probably Kristof; he's fun, sarcastic, an animal person, and he's not trying to get the girl through a sickly-sweet charming attitude. If I were stuck with any Prince for the prom, I guess it'd be him. Wait. . . does Kristof count as a Disney Prince?

Yeah, I mean, at least he has something to be entertained with in there.
That scene in live-action is gonna be awesome... I believe The Hunchback of Notre Dame is generally considered the most dark, with The Lion King in second place and possibly The Nightmare Before Christmas or Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in third. The Black Cauldron also makes it up there quite a lot, too.
Yeah, Kristoff doesn't know he's a Disney prince. He does count though; I think all the heroes in Princess movies are included in the lineup. Even if they're not actual princes.
Who is your favorite Disney couple?

"WOO! Put your arms in the air, Yzma!!"
WAIT THERE'S A LIVE-ACTION-- oh wait I've heard about this. Yeah, that should be completely epic. Makes sense. With these in mind, I'm trying to think back to other Disney movies with dark elements.
Maybe someone ought to tell him. Hm, that's cool. I thought it was just the princes -- glad to know you don't need a crown to be able to save the damsel in distress.
Hm, that's a good question. . . I want to say Sarabi and Simba (cuz, ya know. . . Lion King. ), but I also really enjoyed Giselle and Robert (from Enchanted ) and Flynn and Rapunzel. Maybe Flynn and Rapunzel are my favorite, I dunno. Who are yours?

Is this mostly about the older Disney films, songs etc? Does Pixar count? Does Marvel count? Does Star Wars count? If not, is Hercules and Mulan worth watching? I have not seen those two films.

Yeah. xD Their faces, right before they take off, are the best.
Yes it comes out next summer I'm SO excited Yeah, some of them do have dark elements.
"Somebody's gotta tell him." ~Kristoff Yep; Shang and John Smith aren't princes, but still included in the lineup.
Wait...Sarabi and Simba? Did you mean to say someone else, or are we doing a mother-son thing now...? I like all of your choices, too. Giselle and Robert are so different from each other, and in the end that really helps both of them to grow. Flynn and Rapunzel are hilarious and great together. My favorite is Simba and Nala -- cuz, ya know...Lion King -- but also because they're really perfect for each other and they're just so darn cute together. I mean, best friends since childhood, being separated for years, then reuniting and falling in love? Awww. (I'm a sucker for love stories if you can't tell. )

It's about everything all the way from 1937 to 2018, no time range. Pixar does count, Marvel slightly-counts, and Star Wars doesn't count (because there's already a board for it.)
In a word: yes, they're both worth watching. Do you know the plot of either? Mulan has a strong storyline with a few dark elements and a lot of humor and action thrown in. The musical score is awesome too, so there's that bonus. Hercules is also hilarious, although I should probably rewatch this one before I give you a full analysis because I haven't seen it in a while.

(Mulan and Hercules) And no, I don't know the plot of either film. I am excited for The Incredibles 2 and the LEGO game coming out to support it. Oh, I really want to rewatch that one. It's just so funny and...different from other films. The movies? Hercules was released in 1997, and Mulan came out right after it in 1998.
Ah, okay. Well, Mulan is about the titular character who, in order to save her father's life, runs away to take his place in the Chinese army. In addition to facing military training and taking less-than-helpful advice from her guardian dragon, she has to disguise herself as a man to keep from being found out. Hercules is again about the titular character, who was stolen from Mount Olympus as a baby and made a mortal. He must then defeat monsters and thwart an evil plot to take over the universe, to prove that he is worthy of returning to Olympus.
I've heard about that game. LEGO game, you say? Wonder if there will be sets to accompany it, then.

Do you have a favorite Disney sidekick?
Really? Thank you! (Major spoilers here but it probably won't be published anyway so ) I was thinking of calling it The Siege of Arendelle because the original plan was to keep Hans' involvement anonymous until the opportune moment... But Hans' Revenge would be more appropriate because, well, it's about Hans' revenge. Come now, Bun, I'm sure you have awesome stories just waiting to be written! If they're short story ideas then maybe they could be volumes in a fanfic series..? Kinda like a TV series, but in book form. Which reminds me, there's a Lion King series called The Lion Guard. Have you heard of it?
(Awesome! Naturally, I'm a big fan of all the medieval-y Disney films. I wish there were dress-up events like that more than once a year down here. Oh, that's Aragorn from The Lord of the Rings. Have you seen the films/read the books?)
That would be great! It could be a rival comic series called "Vexed Villains" or something.
Really? It wasn't that great a song... Yeah! XD "Furry Heroes/Villains"
Oh, top 5? I'd say Adam/Beast, Li Shang, Kristoff, Eugene & Philip.
Ooooh, sidekick. I'd have to say Meeko, Cr-Kee & Abu! (Can't do top 5! DX ) Do you have a favourite sidekick?
