Okay. I saw The Emperor's New Groove a while back and that is probably one of my favourite Disney films. I will check out Hercules and Mulan too, maybe in the future. How old are they? (Mulan and Hercules) And no, I don't know the plot of either film. I am excited for The Incredibles 2 and the LEGO game coming out to support it. Oh, I really want to rewatch that one. It's just so funny and...different from other films. The movies? Hercules was released in 1997, and Mulan came out right after it in 1998.
Ah, okay. Well, Mulan is about the titular character who, in order to save her father's life, runs away to take his place in the Chinese army. In addition to facing military training and taking less-than-helpful advice from her guardian dragon, she has to disguise herself as a man to keep from being found out. Hercules is again about the titular character, who was stolen from Mount Olympus as a baby and made a mortal. He must then defeat monsters and thwart an evil plot to take over the universe, to prove that he is worthy of returning to Olympus.
I've heard about that game. LEGO game, you say? Wonder if there will be sets to accompany it, then. Thanks! There is a LEGO Incredibles Game so there should be sets, but they have not been announced yet.

Yeah, I think you've got a very strong idea for a fanfic. Better than some of the random, fleeting ideas I have sometimes. Now I'm curious. What were you going to call it?
(I have noticed that, actually. I love fantasy as well. My friend is actually having a fairytale-themed party this month, and I found a cool medieval dress to wear, so that's fun. By the way, this brings up something I've been wanting to mention for a while: the medieval-looking person that was in your last signature and shows up frequently in your avatars and such, where is he from? )
Oh yeah, those are hilarious. It's fun to think about what it would be like if all the princesses lived together...ooh, they should do comics just like those but with the villains. They all wouldn't be able to tolerate each other...
It seems to be, though I'm not sure why. I can't help but groan a little every time "I Won't Say I'm in Love" shows up in the top 3 on a Disney songs ranking. "The furry heroes" needs to be another lineup now. I tend to group them together when thinking about heroes and heroines; being animal or human doesn't make that much difference to me...but, I do distinguish them sometimes.
I probably do, I'll admit.
Simba Okay, you probably mean official princes, so... Hmm. Flynn, the Beast, John Smith, and Naveen, probably in that order. Who is your favorite?
Do you have a favorite Disney sidekick?
Really? Thank you! (Major spoilers here but it probably won't be published anyway so ) I was thinking of calling it The Siege of Arendelle because the original plan was to keep Hans' involvement anonymous until the opportune moment... But Hans' Revenge would be more appropriate because, well, it's about Hans' revenge. Come now, Bun, I'm sure you have awesome stories just waiting to be written! If they're short story ideas then maybe they could be volumes in a fanfic series..? Kinda like a TV series, but in book form. Which reminds me, there's a Lion King series called The Lion Guard. Have you heard of it?
(Awesome! Naturally, I'm a big fan of all the medieval-y Disney films. I wish there were dress-up events like that more than once a year down here. Oh, that's Aragorn from The Lord of the Rings. Have you seen the films/read the books?)
That would be great! It could be a rival comic series called "Vexed Villains" or something.
Really? It wasn't that great a song... Yeah! XD "Furry Heroes/Villains"
Oh, top 5? I'd say Adam/Beast, Li Shang, Kristoff, Eugene & Philip.
Ooooh, sidekick. I'd have to say Meeko, Cr-Kee & Abu! (Can't do top 5! DX ) Do you have a favourite sidekick? You're welcome! ^-^ Oooh, The Siege of Arendelle sounds even better. Especially if you were planning to keep Hans behind the curtains until he pops up unexpectedly. I guess you could call it The Siege of Arendelle: Hans's Revenge...
Well, I won't say I don't have lots of ideas swirling around in my head... Oh, that's a cool idea! A fanfic series, like a TV show without the commercials. Yes! Well, I've only ever seen one or two episodes of it, actually. I'm hoping to get around to watching all the seasons this summer. I thought since it was a Disney Jr. show, you know, it would have a rather thin plot; but from what I've seen and heard about it's actually pretty complex. Honestly, the main reason I haven't watched it already is going to sound kind of stupid... xD See, I have this little pet peeve about characters. If I've gotten used to a certain voice actor for them, it drives me crazy to hear anyone else voicing them -- because that's not what their voice sounds like and it constantly bothers me. I guess at a certain point I'm going to have to put that aside.
(Oh yeah. I recall you mentioning a medieval festival or something, right? Ohhh, that explains it. I've never gotten into Lord of the Rings. Is it good? )
Yes, PERFECT. If I were better at drawing I'd attempt some of those comics myself. Just imagine it though...Gaston and the Evil Queen always fighting over who gets the mirror...
Lady and the Tramp, The Jungle Book, 101 Dalmatians, The Aristocats, The Fox and the Hound, Oliver & Company, The Lion King, Tarzan, The Princess and the Frog, Zootopia...look at how many furry heroes they could get just from these movies.
Well, I wasn't planning to, but I can't ever choose just one favorite. Oooh, all cute animals. I assume you prefer the sidekicks who don't talk? Mine are...hmm, if we're doing top 5... Mushu, Genie, Timon + Pumbaa, Olaf, and...maybe Louis from Princess and the Frog? Oh, or Lumiere, or Jaq.

Yeah. xD Their faces, right before they take off, are the best.
Yes it comes out next summer I'm SO excited Yeah, some of them do have dark elements.
"Somebody's gotta tell him." ~Kristoff Yep; Shang and John Smith aren't princes, but still included in the lineup.
Wait...Sarabi and Simba? Did you mean to say someone else, or are we doing a mother-son thing now...? I like all of your choices, too. Giselle and Robert are so different from each other, and in the end that really helps both of them to grow. Flynn and Rapunzel are hilarious and great together. My favorite is Simba and Nala -- cuz, ya know...Lion King -- but also because they're really perfect for each other and they're just so darn cute together. I mean, best friends since childhood, being separated for years, then reuniting and falling in love? Awww. (I'm a sucker for love stories if you can't tell. ) I should watch that again, just for all the funny lines and expressions.
I hope it'll be good -- and that they don't change the story or anything. Like "Snow White". Remember that scene where Grumpy was forced to wash up? Pretty scary stuff, man.
Cool, it's just becoming a regular boy band!
AUGH! Stupid, stupid. . . *grumble mutter* she's a girl lion they all look alike why did I say Sarabi maybe because she's one of my favorite characters or whatever darn it I meant Nala. Nala and Simba. Yeah, their story is pretty great -- I'm not much into love stories, but theirs is sweet and fun. (I had no idea. ) Hm. . . are there any Disney couples you don't like?

Nala and Simba. Yeah, their story is pretty great -- I'm not much into love stories, but theirs is sweet and fun. (I had no idea. ) Hm. . . are there any Disney couples you don't like? Same. I watched the roller coaster scene yesterday and that made me want to watch the whole movie.
I knooooowww right. There's a rumor that they're cutting "Be Prepared" from the film, which I STRONGLY hope isn't true... Oh yeah, that scene is totally terrifying, and hilarious.
Yeah!
It's fine. XD I figured you'd catch it once you read it again... "They all look alike"? Heh...you only say that until you've designed a bunch of characters for TLK fanfiction. Then there's so many tiny details that it's impossible for anyone to look alike. Yeah. They're better because, for one thing, they actually knew each other -- it wasn't one of those five-minute-meetings like Snow White or Sleeping Beauty. Plus, you can tell they're best friends (that part where he pulls her into the lake just... )
Don't like? Hmm...not really. I don't care for Meg and Hercules so much, but they're not bad. What about you?

Oh, yeah, good point. I meant generally, anyway. That's cool -- how many fan-fictions have you written? Yeah, they're more like best buddies than a romantic couple! That, to me, is a more precious relationship than a flowery romance in which the characters hardly say anything to each other and just dance or sing.
I guess if we gathered up all the couples whose "love" sparked after a five-minute-long meeting and a song, those would be the couples I don't like. I just really appreciate it when two characters grow and develop with each other, and form a close bond through time, faith, and trust, rather than a sweet song and one romantic night. I'm sorry, I know I'm a little cynical like that. . .

Well, neither do I, but there are a few I'd like to bring into existence. Or, if you had ads, they could be for other stories of yours! I've only seen clips of it, and also thought the plot would be lacking. I know it's about this team of friends going around protecting the Pride Lands (I think ), but don't actually know the storyline. What's it about? I mean, if those two episodes told you. I totally know what you mean about the voices. If the original cast didn't reprise their roles, I don't think I'd have gotten as far as I did with Tangled: The Series.
(Yup! It was in early Feb and I enjoyed it more that time as I made something medievaly to wear. Well, Lord of the Rings (or LOTR as it's abbreviated) is an excellent medieval fantasy trilogy and a visual splendor! However it's very different to a Disney film, and jokes and lighthearted moments are few and far between as the Trilogy goes on , but I still think it's worth watching as it's a cornerstone in the medieval/fantasy genre.)
Same here. But I suppose we could always collaborate and imagine our own "Vexed Villains" comic. Yes! XD "Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is the handsomest villain of all?" And you could have the Evil Queen scowling in the background. Okay, yeah - Furry Heroes & Villains list confirmed. I'm like that with some things, and at times I can't pick an ultimate favourite. Well, it's not that, but more the character they convey. Oh, and then there's Pascal (who increases in awesomeness in Tangled: The Series. ) Ah yes, all the charismatic sidekicks. Just one question though, who was Jaq again?
For some reason I decided to listen to the French equivalent of "Let It Go", and I must say it's absolutely beautiful! Have you heard it? Sorry, I just felt I needed to talk about.
And while we're on the subject of Frozen , what's Olaf's Christmas Adventure like? I remember you talking about it a while back, and forgot to ask.

I know, it wouldn't be okay in the slightest. The one villain song we have, the one villain song we get, you think it's all right to take that out? I don't think so. Besides, how else's he supposed to explain his plot? And here I thought I was the only one doing that. Yeah. Is he your favorite character?

And while we're on the subject of Frozen , what's Olaf's Christmas Adventure like? I remember you talking about it a while back, and forgot to ask. It could also get pretty wordy rather fast. To me, The Siege of Arendelle sounds a tad more dark/serious than Hans's Revenge, so I guess it depends on what emotion you want to convey...
More or less, yeah. Um, I'm still probably missing a lot of it, but from what I've gathered and pieced together...Kion, Simba and Nala's son my initial bewilderment was relieved quite a bit once I found out they had a son is the leader of the Lion Guard, which is some sort of...ehh...guard to protect the Pride Lands. I dunno. Anyway, somehow Scar comes back to life or something -- or at least becomes a ghost, which makes at least a bit more sense -- and I'm not sure what the deal is unless he's still trying to take over the kingdom as a ghost... Possibly? Then there's a bunch of characters whose names I keep getting confused, and also this new monkey character who really confused me at first because the only monkey has ever been Rafiki but eventually I'll get all these people sorted out. *breathes* And that's my basic analysis so far.
(Oh cool, what did you make? Cool. Sounds like the opposite of a Disney movie, but my darker side might find it interesting. )
Yes! Hmm, what about some of the villainesses having a beauty contest.
(Increases in awesomeness? How so? ) Yeah, the funny ones that tend to talk too much, come to think of it. Jaq is the little mouse from Cinderella, the one dressed in red.
Oh, it is! The French language sounds really pretty, even more so in song form. Hey, if you can't talk about it here, where can you talk about it? That's what this place was made for, man. Have you heard the "Finale/Let It Go" from Frozen on Broadway? It's amazing.
Olaf's... Olaf's Frozen Adventure, was it? Sorry, couldn't remember what it was called either but I thought that sounded funny. It's great, really funny and cute. Plus the songs are just so catchy. And don't make me bring up those kittens again...

Do you have a least favorite Disney movie? Except maybe The Black Cauldron.
Yeah! What, are they going to replace that scene with Scar standing at a whiteboard with his plot all drawn out with stick-figures, and the hyenas are gathered at a table sipping coffee and taking notes?
Yeah, I think so. It's been a long time since I've last watched Snow White, but I'm pretty sure Grumpy is a character I can really relate to.
Wow, that's impressive! What are they typically about? -- I mean, The Lion King, of course, duh -- but hopefully you know what I mean. . .
Hm. . . I guess The Black Cauldron can be named as my least favorite, although maybe I could look at the Disney classics and find a least-favorite from there. . . What's yours?

Heh, Frozen: The Siege of Arendelle & Hans Revenge
Indeed. Well, the overall story was intended to be a bit more serious than your average Disney film, wrought with vivid emotion if my writing skill allowed, so I guess either title works. Then again it's just the working title. In the end it could just end up as an unofficial Frozen 2.
"It's all comin' together." - Kronk OK it all makes sense now. I knew there had to be a major enemy of some srrt, but I never have thought they'd bring back Scar! And I remember seeing a monkey from a clip I saw while surfing through the kids channels - I thought that was Rafiki. Why isn't he Rafiki?!
(I hastily whipped together a basic kit to wear comprising of pants with leg wraps that kept slipping off, a tunic of sorts, and a quarter-circle cloak. All were my own design, and I was pressed for time so I literally field tested it at the fair. . . . "Darker side"? )
Oh yeah; I can just imagine Drizella and Anastasia competing for top spots....
(Well it's just the character development, in which Pascal even gets his own episode which reveals how he met Rapunzel. *Sigh* Poor Pascal had a bit of a rough time...) Very much so, yet they often have the best one-liners. Ah yes, I remember now. It's just that it's been over 2 years since I've seen Cinderella, you see.. e-heh-heh...
Yeah! The meaning is very poetic. I think I prefer it to the English version. Sorry, it's just that I'm kind of.. afraid/awkward about things. I just heard it! It's AWESOME! Y'know, one thing Disney never fails on is their music.
Oh, Frozen Adventure. I knew somethin' was up. Cool. Literally. I gotta watch it sometime to see where the Frozen crew is at. How's Elsa doing? I remember you emphasizing the kittens.

Exactly. It happens with every Disney movie, really.
I know, it wouldn't be okay in the slightest. The one villain song we have, the one villain song we get, you think it's all right to take that out? I don't think so. Besides, how else's he supposed to explain his plot? And here I thought I was the only one doing that. Yeah. Is he your favorite character?
How many? Well, just considering TLK fanfics...seven, maybe? Only two of which are full-length stories, and a couple of which are still in progress, but yeah. Yeah! Well no, I don't blame you; the things you mentioned, to me, are oftentimes the difference between a good Disney couple and an awesome Disney couple.
The image this puts in my head...I can't even... XD Yeah. I think my favorite dwarf is Dopey, but when they're together they're all so funny, really. I don't know if you've ever seen that scene at the end of TLK 1 1/2, but the dwarfs show up in the movie theater heading to their seats, and each says something as they pass. So what you hear is this
"Excuse me." "Excuse me." "Excuse me." "Excuse me." "Excuse me." "Excuse me." "Get outta the way!"
It cracks me up every time. Wait a minute, I just realized...in this scene, Dopey talks?
Aw, you stole the sarcastic answer I was about to give. Yeah, I know what you mean. Hmm, they're all about different things really...just whenever I find an interesting idea, I guess. I use mostly canon or sub-canon characters; I've yet to write a fanfic about any OCs although I have created several.
Ooh, I haven't seen The Black Cauldron in ages... Mine is probably Hercules or maybe Dumbo. It's really hard to choose a least favorite, though.
Have you been to any of the Disney parks before?

Oh, Frozen Adventure. I knew somethin' was up. Cool. Literally. I gotta watch it sometime to see where the Frozen crew is at. How's Elsa doing? I remember you emphasizing the kittens. Yeah, working titles...sometimes I don't come up with a title for my stuff until halfway through the story. I think I like The Siege of Arendelle, but either one works, really.
It does? I know, right? I first heard about an announcement for his voice actor in the show, and was like "Um...have the creators of this actually seen the movie? There's no way he's alive..." But it's making more sense as I go along. And he's only one of the villains in the show; from what I'm getting, there's also some new hyenas, along with Zira and her cubs, so they're definitely not short on enemies. She. "Why isn't she Rafiki." *waits for your astonished expression* Her name is Makini, if I'm not mistaken...it is odd that they brought another monkey into the series.
(Very cool. Sounds like it went well, except for the wraps that kept slipping off. Yeeaaah...I tend to enjoy dark fantasy or fiction, in addition to the altogether happiness of Disney, obviously. I've been told my personality is a mixture of hot pink and midnight blue, which I guess balances the two pretty well. )
Yeah, totally...and I imagine the villains they had as judges would be less than interested in judging...
(Oh, that sounds interesting. Now I want to watch it... ) Yeah, they're all so quotable! It's been a while since I've seen it too, actually...I've been thinking of watching it lately.
I'll have to look up the translated lyrics sometime later. Have you ever heard the Spanish version of "How Far I'll Go"? It's really pretty also. Well, I am too IRL, but we don't have to be on here. Isn't it?! It's like the greatest group cover of "Let It Go" ever made. I agree, and I'm also very impressed with their Broadway songs. I've been listening to some of the Frozen soundtrack along with The Lion King soundtrack, and I must say...wow. Just wow.
She's great -- just gets a little melancholy around Christmas but everything ends happily, thanks to Olaf. The kittens are arguably the best part of the Frozen franchise.

Yes, I have, the one in Florida! Have you? Exactly. The Seven Stooges. Yeah, that scene is probably one of my favorites. Totally breaks the fourth wall. You might like the movie, I dunno...the entire time I was watching it, I kept thinking "This is a fanfic. This is a fanfic that someone wrote and Disney made into a movie," over and over. It's kind of weird and seemingly non-canon, but at the same time, really funny.
AAAH THE UNIVERSE IS A LIE Unless only five of them say it. Hmm. I'll have to check.
Nah, well, I posted one on the old MBs called "Battle of the Ranks" -- it was going to be continued here but I didn't exactly stick with that plan. Otherwise, nope, never have. Do you ever read any stories online -- like in a writing community, per se?
Hard, bridging on impossible impassible.
Same here! I've been there twice, in 2008 and 2017...and hoping to return early next year as well. What's your favorite ride/attraction there?

FOURTH WALL BROKEN OH YEAH Ahh, I see. I thought that's what it sounded like. So it's a bit like one of those sequels Disney makes just so they can bring in some extra cash?
THAT'S NOT RIGHT.
Hm, OK. Not really -- I mean, the LMBs and here is the only place where I've ever read stories online. I guess it's not exactly the best outlet for an aspiring writer, but there are some good ones here and there. What about you?
Oh, how fun! You must really enjoy it, then! Wellll. . . I can't quite recall. It was only once, and I was at least. . . *pulls out old journal from years ago* Really, I was eleven?? Huh. Well, I was eleven when we went. If I had to guess, I'd say-- --Space Mountain. I like thrilling rides. What's yours?
