In the streets of Jamaica, citizens gather to watch as three ships sail into port. A transport ship docks at the wharf; a large force of five hundred Redcoats disembarks, forming ordered columns and marching up into the city. Behind them, deckhands unload two pounds of sugar, one pound of coconuts, one pound of oranges and one pound of bananas for the sustenance of the port.
In the water, the corvette Queen Sophia and the bark King's Hound drop their anchors alongside the existing flotilla composed of the Man O War King George's Wrath, Ship of the Line England's Might and the corvette Barnacled Crown.
I ain't a pirate. I guess I got tangled into the cattle business on this side of the country.
From the top of a tiled roof, Emiliano searches the streets for a particular person. Shaking her head repeatedly and murmuring, she called back to Kane. "Do you think you could ask these folks where we might find the Govenor?"
As if in answer to her question, trumpets blare from atop a nearby hill. From her vantage point, Emiliano sees a set of wrought-iron gates swing open as a horse-drawn carriage and a cavalry escort begin their descent down a tree-lined avenue into the town. They seem to be heading for the wharf, where three new ships of His Majesty's Fleet have just docked.

Emiliano points to the regal convoy parading through the streets. "Never mind that. Look!"
The Old Man wobbles about in confusion as the noise from the convoy drowns out her words. Sticking a finger in his ear, he yells back. "Whaaaaaaat?!"
He is pushed aside by a swarm of excited townspeople flooding to the scene.
Whoa. *Stands on a crate.* What's goin' on?
Sliding off the roof with care, Emiliano dives head first into a hay cart. Poking her head out and sputtering, she watches the wharf. Clicking her tongue, Luz the Falcon appears with a small scroll of paper in his claws and a freshly inked quill pen in his beak. He drops them into her open hand.
Scribbling a few sentences, Emiliano proofreads it before sending them off with Luz. He circles the air for a moment. Emiliano smacks her head. "Oh of course, forgot to tell you. Give it to the crew. I'll be there shortly. Oh! And have them secure the Treaty!"
Pushing aside mounds of hay, Emiliano slips out of the cart and shakes off any remaining debris. Taking a cloth from underneath her hat, she polishes the end of her shoe and sets the cloth back in its place before turning to Kane. "Make sure thine crew are in tip top shape! I know not how loose this Govenor will be on formalities. Say, what ever happened to Fraser and Jeff? You'd best keep those scallywags on their best behavior."

Ok, got it. *Removes "The Hedgehog's Revenge" from ship's bow. Repaints name as "Denver II"* Attention, crew. Be on your best behavior, and wear your best clothes!

The crew of La Paloma continued their music, inviting onlookers to join in with a song of their own. Upon reading the note sent by Luz, they swtich to a more ceremonial tune.

"The sort of thing that will keep us from offending our new host."
Tapping her foot in tune, Emiliano folds her hat inside out and walks into a clothing store. Gifting the owner a pouch ten times the amount of her purchase, she throws a cloak over her and hands the second one to Kane. Mingling with the crowd gathered around the wharf, Emiliano slips onboard her vessel and balances herself on the bow. Snapping her fingers, the crew of La Paloma suddenly blow one final trumpet blast in order to gain the people's attention.
The Old Man happily sets the last plate of his full course meal down on the table prepared for him on the poop deck, only for him to stumble into a bowl of warm steak stew as the trumpet blast took him completely off guard.
Recieving the megaphone given to her by Luz, Emiliano addresses the Govenor. "Esteemed Govenor, I present to thee gifts in exchange for harboring here this fine evening. A full course meal to satisfy any weary crew for a season!" She stands to the side and strikes her hands out as her crew plays the game show tunes.
The people applaud, awed by this unsual performance.

Still vibrating from all the excitement, the Old Man whispers to a fellow next to him. "What will it take for the governor to notice? I've been hurting me back carrying this plate of mine forward and back!"
Leaving La Paloma, Luz shrugs his shoulders and kicks aside a small pebble across the deck of Kane's vessel. Emiliano forms an embarrassed smile, stunned at the Governor's indifference.

Do these folks even have a governor anymore?
"Truly, he might as well be nothing more than a myth."
Disappointed, Emiliano's crew slump their shoulders in unison as their Captain calls off the celebration. Ordering the food to be given freely to the people, Emiliano calls for Kane's attention. "Shall we begin to discuss the repairing of yon vessel?"
Amid the cheers from the crowds, a shrill cry causes the hearts of many to shrink back in terror.
Wreathed in ashes, a small lifeboat gently bumps the side of a large vessel. In it was a man outstretched as if in eternal sleep, covered in bandages that reeked of festering wounds.
Luz immediately takes a flask of water from one of the captured crewmen and flies to the scene, pouring water over the man's face and tapping him lightly on the cheek with his beak.
Spitting out a strand of seaweed, the man slowly opens his eyes. Upon seeing a bird of prey, he rises in haste. "Je ne suis pas mort! (I am not dead!)"
A collective gasp from onlookers alerts him to his predicament. Analyzing the various faces of strangers, he throws his hands up and pleads with them. "Que s’est-il passé? Le feu, avez-vous chassé le feu? (What has happen? The fire, did you drive out the fire?)"
Shaking her head in astonishment, Emiliano crosses her arms. "What do you make of this Sir Kane?"

He seems to be speaking French. Perhaps he was traveling on a ship that caught fire.
