I don't think it'll ever come back, at least not the way it was. There's just something too special and memorable about this theme it's just so memorable...

I hate to say it, but I don't think it'll return. It's been, what, seven years since a new set was released. So it probably won't come back especially as quite a few people aren't into that type of theme/genre anymore.
Not necessarily. Castle wasn't retired THAT long ago. It is still possible they make a new reboot while Nexo Knights is still around, especially if Nexo Knights is long-lasting like Ninjago.
Nexo Knights doesn't have that Ninjago charm. It'll probably be just another Chima.
I know this is an old post, but Chima was a very creative and experimental concept that LEGO had never done before, making it extremely memorable, regardless of what you thought of the theme. Whereas Nexo Knights, unlike Chima, was an amalgamation of old ideas that'd been done many times over; the final sub theme of Nexo Knights appears to have had literally the exact same story as Ninjago Rebooted.
