They have gotten worse after like 10 years of being great. That being said, Nexo Knights could go for 10 years like Ninjago. Never heard that term before.
I would say a distinction needs to be made here between stories attempting to have a plot and one-off comedy series. Spongebob is not meant to have an ongoing story, it's just supposed to be funny, so it doesn't need character development. Since Nexo Knights is telling a cohesive story, there should be character development. First of all, in my opinion, a story with static characters is less compelling. Secondly, it severely limits options when it comes to making a story. Stories require conflicts, and the resolution of them. If the characters always stay the same, there can only be external conflicts, no internal ones, and that means you have fewer story-writing options.
TBH, Ninjago was probably the same way at the beginning too. I think people just hate Nexo Knights because they are used to Ninjago. I am sure they will add something to do the characters in Nexo Knights eventually, I mean, it's only been out for like a year:S.
~l)~/\/~/-\~ The tie between real life and legos is imagination .
When do you think the next series of LEGO Castle sets will come? It has been a while since it was last around. You could say Nexo Knights is a Castle subtheme, but I would hardly call it that considering it all high tech and everything:S. I am talking real medieval Castle.
nexo nites makes me i think in september of this year all castle sets and characters will be retured

You're probably right about that. Yeah, we'll see. And if it's successful enough to run as long as Ninjago, I expect they will.
Hopefully soon. I was/am obsessed with medieval and Pirate LEGO. Those are the sets I grew up with. They should base it on Greek Mythology. When they revamp the theme, I'll be pressured by nostalgia to buy the whole collection, the same way I was pressured to buy two Pirate ships in 2015.
I still have all my old Castle theme sets intact. They're dusty, thus I need to find the instructions so I can wash and store them.
Not necessarily. Castle wasn't retired THAT long ago. It is still possible they make a new reboot while Nexo Knights is still around, especially if Nexo Knights is long-lasting like Ninjago.
Nexo Knights doesn't have that Ninjago charm. It'll probably be just another Chima.
I think what really kept Ninjago was the show. If it was only the sets people cared for, they'd just move onto Chima. However, the Nexo Knights show is "meh," and many people would just stick to Ninjago instead of watching it. I think this season is the season where Monstrux is finally defeated, and Lego will have to move on. After all, Ninjago had three waves of sets before it ended, and we're on our third wave. It's time to kiss good-bye to Nexo Knights.

I think it's because Nexo Knights is mild and boring compared to Ninjago, and the Nexo Knights characters are all stereotypes. However, if you don't look in terms of the show, yeah, that would make sense.
Jay was a snake-human for about 3/4 of an episode way back in 2012. That person is clearly exaggerating.
Oh lol. That's weird:P.
Ninjago is weird. Thankfully, the weirdness is outweighed by the fun and humor of the show, so we can put up with it. I still remember seeing that episode for the first time. It was night, my older sister was reading, and I was watching it on the iPad. She was surprised to hear me randomly burst: "Hit 'im with a hot dog; that's the way to do it!"

I'm guessing Castle will come back in 2019. It'll probably end up as an unfortunate fail, like the pirate theme, though. It's a real shame current children would rather play with all this crazy, weird action stuff.

I'm not sure if it will ever return because LEGO close a theme for a reason.I miss castle =(

It can't be soon enough!
It'll be sometime after the terrible Nexo Knights finishes though, *cringes*. I hope it'll be reminiscent of the 2008 Castle, with some rich colours, dwarfs, and lots of chrome gold pieces!
