So . . . I want to do one about a hero helping the ninja more, but I have no idea what to have her do. On the other hand, I have already sort of figured out the story line if I was going to do it about Harumi. There are a few things I'd have to figure out: how she got out of the Temporal Vortex early, how she couldn't get the Mask of Hatred because she has Oni blood . . . but I have already thought about those.
I just don't know.
Perhaps you should try out what ninjagofanmam suggested and do a little test-writing; try out a scene from one idea, and a scene from the other. You could make notes about what it is about each story idea you like and don't like, what you're looking forward to writing in each one. . . just play around with the ideas a bit.

Well. . . Jon's story doesn't have to be completely accurate to the show. I mean, it is called a fan-fiction.
But I do think you should definitely try what MockingbirdInc is saying about trying to a bit of both to see what you like better. I think you definitely get the best option that way. That's how I decided for sure what derection Gravitation was going to go. By writing a sence and writing three different endings to it, all three with a different plot.
Also I agree that you should see what Harumi is like before you write about her.
