Great. You've created your character. Now, we need to figure out their relationships with people.
Relationships basically "build" up the character and their story. Simple stuff like "Who's their enemy?", "Do they have any friends or are they a loner and an outcast?", and "Any Family?" are the basics.
In my story, A Christmas Adventure, everyone is friends with each other. At the moment There aren't any major enemies.
In my story, Love With a Price, there are multiple relationships. Rose and Lloyd don't have the same type of relationship compared to Nya and Jay. Same for Wu and Misako compared to Pythor and Cole.
Relationships can also show you're character's personality.
For example, your character can seem really tough and mean on the streets, but is really soft-hearted and kind near their friends and family.
Homework: Give some examples of relationships with your character.
@bolded, Wow. That's going to be very interesting. I wonder what conflict is going to trigger that.
For my RP character: Zach has a mom and a dad that love him very much, but Zach has been distant from his parents ever since he started working in the mechanics industry.
Zach doesn't really have any enemies, but he's more of a victim of the events that occur around him. For example, Emperor Palpatine is still after the Jedi and other people who possess the Force, the Preeminent destroyed his buisness in Ninjago, Weeping Angels went after him, and Bounty Hunters from the Trade Federation tried to capture him.
Zach's has a friend named Lila Barton, Hawkeye's daughter. They met by coincidence as they were both trapped in a haunted room full of Weeping Angels. They have a relationship kind of like Kim and Ron from Disney Channel's Kim Possible. Lila, like Kim Possible, is smart, fearless, and brave. While Zach, like Ron Stoppable, is gullible, fearful, and timid.
Lastly, Zach has some good relations with his business clients such as Han Solo and Ronin. He's recently met Hawkeye, Iron Man, and Iron Man's Bodyguard Happy.
That sounds a lot like my story.
Interesting.
Hey, that's me. I wish that show was on Netflix. I really only remember the characters.
Great connections, Zach. I kinda want to write a story about our character's past, now if I'm honest.
Lesson One Homework Comments: Not long at all. It was very good. I love how you had the setting affect the main character's mood.
Lesson Two Homework Comments: Fine by me. Very good. You had a lot of detail, amd I really need to read you're book. Maybe when I find a little more time.
I was disappointed, not so much in the people around me, but more in myself. I had not been putting enough focus on training these last few months. I should have though, if I wanted to be a knight that's all I should be focusing on. But there's so many things that distract me, how am I supposed too focus on it? I approached my horse and stroked his neck. I was misrubele and wanted to go home, so I saddled him and mounted him. The two of us then left that horibble place quickly. Out the gates and over the grassy hillsides. Soon we were trotting over falter ground. Gray clouds had gathered, only seemingly making my mood all the worse. It started to rain, it fell on my face and in my hair. My horse blinked away the raindrops as they they fell on his face too. I was nearing home when the rain stopped falling. Light shown through the clouds and a rainbow was now visible. This shothed my mood and brightened my spirit. Perhaps it wasn't to late, I could start training harder than ever right now and maybe, just maybe reach my goal of knighthood.
( sorry if that was a bit long. I just kinda wrote what came to me. )
Lesson two homework: ( I'm doing Zephyr since she's my most development character)
Name: Zephyr Gender: female Element: Gravity Hair color: blonde, with blue dyed streaks Eye color ( if she wasn't a minifig): green Clothing: blue ninja suit with some green on it as well. Prsonallity: shy, paranoid, thrill seeker, friendly when comfortable. Likes to read comics, and wants to be a ninja. Backstory: Zephyr was raised in Hiroshi's Labyrinth with her siblings, cousins, uncle, aunt, parents and two of her grandparents. They were all hiding from a threat the adults never spoke of, they would visit coastal towns nearby every once in awhile, but would try not to draw to much attention. Finally she came of age and her and her older brother were allowed to leave as long as they did not speak of their origins. ( The rest is spoliorish. )
Homework: Give some examples of relationships with your character.
Ooh ugh, if I do Zephyr how am I going to do this without major spoilers?
I guess I'll show everything that is known so far. ( even though there's a lot more to it that hasn't happened in the story yet I'm not telling you. )
So I'm doing my character Zephyr.
Spoilers for Gravitation if you haven't read it. But if you have, it explains what you already know a little better hopefully.
Mother and father: respects and loves them as parents.
Aunt, uncle, grandma and grandpa: respects and loves them as the other adults in her life, not quite as close as parents but very close.
Siblings: loves them as siblings.
Cousins: Treats and loves them like siblings.
Other grandpa and grandma: Has never met them, and doesn't even know if they are even alive. Plus she knows nothing about them.
Uncle Gravis: Never met him, but knows he was an elemental master. ( He is known to be smashed though. )
Keegan, Brent, Brent's daughters and their friends, and Dearth: She considers them all as distant friends or close aquntecnes.
Lloyd: known as Sensei to Zephyr, she respects him and listens to him even though he hasn't fully gained her trust. ( plus he has not yet revealed his true identity to her for his own reasons. )
Alpha's pack: Although not knowing of them exactly, she does know they are after her and her family. And does not like them.

Lol.
It kind of does. I guess it's also part of growing up when it comes to finding jobs and starting that part of life.
Yeah. For our roleplay, should we have an enemy?
It is you! Same here. I think I've seen all the episodes, but I would love to rewatch the whole thing.
Thanks! Same with me, but for my character, and it looks like I've already laid out his story here. Maybe we can do a co-write?

Great relationships.
For the record, I don't think it spoils anything major, for I am still clueless about your story that I need to read. I should get round to doing that at some point.

Remind me who is Rose again? (From Ninjago I believe)

Right, I suppose it's time to hand in my homework, Ms K66 . I'm a bit rusty at the whole writing gambit, so have some mercy.
Lesson One: He stared at the window blankly, watching the thunderstorm rage as droplets of rain rolled down lazily, dripping off the bottom of the sill outside. Red and golden leaves swirled around the house in eddies of wind before coming to rest on the ground, disfiguring the immaculately maintained estate. It was as cold inside as out - the hearths were not lit, the fires did not roar - no, there was not even a single candle lighting the drawing room or, indeed, the house, and the grim autumn day did aught to buoy his spirits. Without her, the house felt empty, devoid of life -- there was no reason to oust the darkness mustering within.
She had been missing too long, and he was afraid.
Lesson Two: Name: [redacted]
Age: 42 Appearance: Taller than most, [redacted] stood at 6'4" with relatively short, steel-grey hair, and a well-groomed, dignified moustache and beard and would have been considered handsome, once upon a time, and still might be by some, but stress and worry had gotten to him over the years, and more than anything, he looked weary. With well-defined, prominent cheekbones, a strong-set jaw, and a proud nose, he looked every part the stately nobleman he professes to be. His dark blue eyes were filled with a solemn and calculative contemplation of everything around him. He had the lean and muscular body of a great swordsman not long out of his prime, and his movements showed it - they are graceful, yet dignified, confident and determined. Personality: Contemplative, just and decisive all at once, [redacted] was not known for being a timid man. His reputation as a shrewd businessman, elegant politician and charismatic leader were all earned in their own right, and it was in [redacted]'s nature to strive towards these exemplars. He lived a morally virtuous life when he could, but was not unwilling to compromise to do what was necessary for a given situation, if that result was the best he could ascertain. He was also unafraid to get his hands dirty and employed a lead-from-the-front strategy which helped build his renown on the battlefield.
Lesson Three: [redacted] has formed relationships with many over the years, especially in his position as the chancellor of an influential city-state.
His wife - [redacted] came to meet his wife when purchasing clothes from her. Neither of them particularly young, they quickly bonded through a series of unexpected circumstances. He cared for his wife deeply, and they had a loving relationship, although the demands of his role prevented him from devoting as much time to her as he would like.
The wards - [redacted] and his wife adopted her sister's two children after the sister and her husband were caught up in a civil war. To begin with, there was a mutual wariness between the children and him, but they have grown to respect him as a father figure, albeit not as their father.
His Empress - As a democratic politician, [redacted] resented the leader of the nation he lived in for her ideology of inequality, and autocratic, dictatorial leadership. He actively sought opportunities to depose her.
His parents - were smashed in a tidal wave, along with the rest of his home city. This led [redacted] on a path to find his new place in the world after the last one was ripped out from beneath him. He missed them deeply and kept whatever scraps of his youth he could find to remind him of them.
Sorry for the redactions, but a man has his secrets. I hope you don't mind.
