How many other books are you working on? If any, that is...
If you wondering how many I have planned, there's quite a lot, I'm not even sure how many. There's four main series I have planned, and a few stand alones.

Wow, that's amazing! You could be a professional writer. I'm currently working on one book and one book series, then I also have too many other ideas to count...

What sort of can't-fall-asleep stories do usually come up with?
They've changed over the years, I've done tons though. Lately I've mostly done scenarios with my Ninjago OCs or scenarios of my future self. In the past I've done knights, ninja, Disney OC stories, Ninjago, pintos, ideas I have for stories, and tons more. Fictional scenarios with myself are probably the most common, where I'll put myself in a fiction or fantasy setting. I don't do that much nowadays though since I try to use fictional characters more now.

I'd like to be. Oh nice. What kind of ideas?
Yep. Well, ideas for science fiction books, fantasy books, short stories, book series... The funny thing is that all of my ideas are so different that people wouldn't know the same person came up with all of them....

Cool! Those sounds interesting!
Thanks I think! At least they've kept me entertained all these years.

Oooh cool. I can believe it.
Yeah, I think there are a bunch of authors who also write in many genres.
Hey, I have a bit of a conundrum that's been nagging at me for several years now. When I was reeeaaall little I wrote a small series of stories concerning fantasy creatures living in a world that was basically a copy of the real world--except for the fact that the human race was aware of these creatures and didn't care much about them. I didn't put much thought or effort into the world-building at the time (because I was like, ten years old. ) Now that I'm thinking of continuing the series, I'm torn. Which would make a more intriguing world: one where it's our own and these creatures inhabiting it are the only difference? Or one where it's a world similar to ours, but it's a post-fantasy world that's met a rise in technology while fantasy creatures continue to roam the wild?

That is a really hard question. I've read series about animals before where it wasn't exactly clear weather it takes place in the real world or a different one. Of course, some series choose to go with using both the real and a made up world like Narina does. I guess the way I see it is if you decide to use the real world you'll probably need to have the lore line up with real history, where if you do a made up world you could probably have a little more freedom in that area, however coming up with an entire history for a made up world might be a bit much if you don't intend to have much focus on that kind of stuff. There's probably pros and cons to both, I guess it just depends on the tone and setting you'd like to have. Those are just my thoughts at least.

That makes a lot of sense. From that take I think trying to make the existence of the fantasy creatures line up with the real world would be much too difficult, while creating my own world would be more fun and I'd have a lot more freedom in creativity, especially concerning the magic system. I just hope having my own world would be as intriguing to a reader as the idea of fantasy creatures within our own world would be--although I know that really depends on how well I introduce the concept and not really the idea itself.

Well if anyone can pull it off, you can. I'm sure It'll be great.
