There's a story I'm writing (It might be called Legacies of Elembia ) and its written from first-person point of view. But I also want to be able to write it from various characters' PoVs and still keep it in first-person. How's the best way to go about doing that, without confusing the reader and myself?
Hi! Cool, welcome. Ah yes Hero Factory, I only know a little about it, I remember when it was still an active theme though. What's your Hero Factory fan fiction going to be about?
So the premise of my story is that Hero Factory is worried about running out of quaza (the mineral that Hero Cores are made from), so they develop a prototype suit of Hero armor for humans and recruit a human named Thomas McPherson to give it a test run. He takes the name Blaze and joins Alpha Team on several missions.
(This character is based on a custom set I ordered from LEGO’s Hero Recon Team service.)
At the same time, a new villain is terrorizing the galaxy. And he persuades Mark Surge (one of the canon Heroes) to leave Hero Factory and join him!
I came up with the concept for this story way back in 2011, and I wrote it in 2014. However, I’m now rewriting it from scratch because my writing skills have improved a lot in the last six years, and because I retconned several details of it while working on a sequel.
Oh wow, that sounds really cool!
Whoa! So you have been working on this for a long time. I'm currently writing a Ninjago fan fiction that I've been planing and writing for years now, so I know what that's like.
Well, this one I'm going to publish as a ebook online that can also have hard copies ordered. So it's not anything too big. But yeah, I guess it is cool!
Well, I would consider publishing a book in any manner or form to be a pretty big accomplishment, so congratulations!

You could make the fonts of the PoVs different colors so it's easier to tell at a glance who is who.

The great thing about being the author is that you can basically do whatever the brick you want when it comes to how your story is told. I'm thinking that while most of LoE will be written in your 1st person POV, you can switch to 3rd person when you're writing from the POV of other characters. The way I see it, that'll will be clear enough for the reader to tell when you're switching characters, instead of applying 1st person to everyone. I've read some stories before where the 1st person applied to at least a dozen different characters, and let me tell you, that was always so confusing and disorienting to read, despite my enjoyment of the story itself.

That’s pretty clever. I would never have thought of that myself.

What sort of can't-fall-asleep stories do usually come up with?
They've changed over the years, I've done tons though. Lately I've mostly done scenarios with my Ninjago OCs or scenarios of my future self. In the past I've done knights, ninja, Disney OC stories, Ninjago, pintos, ideas I have for stories, and tons more. Fictional scenarios with myself are probably the most common, where I'll put myself in a fiction or fantasy setting. I don't do that much nowadays though since I try to use fictional characters more now.
