Anyways, can I ask you to point out where it says we are not allowed to use specialized ammo? If you can’t answer that then there’s no basis for your argument, and no reason to actually consider it as valid.
That’s really what will happen if we can’t use specialized ammo. It’ll also provide a bit of flavor and strategy to the RP, instead of just constantly bombarding each other with the same cannon balls over and over.

The rules have a list of things that you can buy. Cannon ammo is on there. Such specialised ammo is not.
No, Guru has used it to destroy rigging etc. already.

Does it say specifically “You are only allowed to use cannonballs” or “specialized ammo is not allowed”? Because saying it’s not on a list of things to buy is, quite frankly, an incredibly idiotic reason.
Are you implying that it’s impossible to do that with normal cannon balls?

That's what they were used for. Eh have different ammo.

Are you paying attention? You said that you didn’t want that to happen. I’m telling you, it already has.

That's what they were used for. Eh have different ammo, jf our lord, Ciar won't let us do things. He argues irrationally!

Since the rules do not say specified ammo is not allowed, then we are free to use any types of ammo we want. There’s nothing more to say on the matter as it stands. If you feel like there is a problem bring it up to a community vote, although honestly I doubt anything will change.
I might’ve misspoken, but I never intended to imply that I didn’t want that to happen. Sure, it woud make much sense for a cannonball to destroy rigging with the same efficiency as chain shot, or a cannonball to smash as many infantry as Grape shot, but if we can’t use the aforementioned “specified ammo” then we can just substitute with normal cannonballs and get the just about the same results. In the end the matter is so trivial that it baffles me that this argument started, and that it has carried on for this long.
