Well, it seems to only add to the LMBE and not replace anything. Whether this feature works well in roleplays depends on actually trying them out and seeing if it works.
It will be a nightmare for roleplayers. Because you get unprovable moves, lets say something crazy happens and so people start blocking and start doing over random stuff, and you get a massive argument, jammers are then to be read, because we have topics where there are dozens of pages of just arguing.
That is true. The Jammers still have that confirmation aspect when an issue arises. I guess it's easier to trust users to not look at Jammers that aren't addressed to them rather than trusting users to make fair roleplay moves.
Definitely no. There seem to be more disadvantages than advantages.
Edit: Also, I just realized, if these could be used outside of RPs, users could use them to gossip about other users behind their backs.
The mods would be moderating the whisper tags though. I don't think they'd allow anyone to gossip about anyone else.
That is...logical. But I still think these would be a hinderance to RPs, especially, like Egorsmirnov said, when someone needs to prove that a secret action did indeed happen when an argument arises, which can only be proven with jammers that anyone can read.
Greetings, and welcome to the first of our feature votes!
This vote is for Whisper Tags.
All MBers are used to the concept of jammers, where you type the name of the recipient and a hidden message. However, they can be opened by other people, and you rely on other people respecting the privacy of jammers. In some cases, it doesn't matter if others see the information, as two users are just having a private chat. However, in other cases, such as strategic planning in roleplays, it can ruin everything if the other side read your jammers and know what you're going to do.
Whisper Tags are very similar to jammers - you type a name, and a hidden message. However, the key difference is that unless your username matches that of the tag, you cannot read it. Yes, you read that right - jammer-reader-proof jammers! You can enter multiple names, so that a group of people can read them. One disadvantage is that when you get a new player, you can't just say "I give you permission to read JediMasterWolf's jammers to the group." You have to copy and paste the information into a new Whisper Tag. You also can't just say "Jammers on Jedi only! No Sith!" You have to enter the username of each and every Jedi. S
As you can see, they can be more inconvenient than jammers, but are confidential. This means that Roleplayers can have private conversations without fear of the other site reading.
Thank you, and Happy Birthday LMB Eternal!
I believe that this would be a good idea, but we need some clarification: would we still have jammers? If this is replacing jammers, I'd say no, but if we have both I'd say yes.

I'd personally say no. I think everything should be able to be read. I can see where it might be useful for RPs but you should just be able to trust nobody will read it. And if it isn't for RPs when are you having conversations THAT personal anyway? O_o I think it would generate a lot of distrust :/

Ha, was that a reference to the Jedi Temple? New padawans, go to page 3 and read JediMasterWolf's jammers, then come back, do the trial, and yay! XD
I do not know yet about this.... as much as that would be crucial to keeping secrets..... it would also get out of hand with the name pointing.... Also, what if someone just makes an account with the same name to open it? Couldn't someone just make a "JediMasterWolf" account and open mine?
Old MBs: Captain Lachlan, Mirkwood Elf 3rd-in-command in LOTR RP; Captain Cuyler of the Black Pearl in Classics RP; Asger and Yaegar in Ninjago RP; Captain Ake of the Merchant of Death in Pirates RP; "Lucky 13" in City RP; Ake in TMNT RP; Radford the Biker in T.A.D.A.L. RP; Sir Hagan of Rivenden in Castle RP; founder and Grandmaster Volksven of the New (RP) Jedi Order

Yes, that is a good point.
I'm covered in the colors pulled apart at the seams~
wait, would mods still be able to read them? and if not, would there be an option to block a user from sending you whisper tags? i'd like to know the answer before i vote.
If I remember the discussions we had on them correctly we would be able to read them but they'd be a bit more inconvenient to moderate (though that last point is purely behind the scenes and wouldn't really be noticed by a standard member). As a general point since it seems to be sort of mentioned or at least implied by other posts, the same standard would apply to anything in whisper tags as it currently does with jammers, that means nobody talking behind your back.

No, if these were allowed I would combat these in the chima rp, this is a nightmare, firstly it makes jammer moves impossible to prove, also I do things for certain groups, which makes it a nightmare and how would this work with the npc tags, a nightmare for all.
If these are implemented, you'd still have the option to use jammers instead, so if you wanted to be able to prove something or send it to a large group, you could use jammers.

You'd have both. Jammers are an ingrained part of LMB culture, which we will not be removing.

It was. XD
Proboards doesn't let that happen - it tells you that the username is unavailable.

I am aware of that, however as I stated I will challenge these, it makes moves unprovable.
