You can show your rank and still be part of the staff! It's in profile settings! 

You can, but we prefer that staff members have a moderator ranks so that others can easily identify them as members of Staff in the case of needing help/warnings/rejections.

She never wanted the throne. She never desired it. She could've given it to a sister, but she was incapable. Chances are, she was forced into an arranged marriage. Many fans equate Eclipsa's time period as the 'dark ages'. Eclipsa wanted love, not the throne. She didn't want the responsibilities and burden it placed. She fell in love with another than her intended, a monster. A sentient, sapient monster. And she fell with child. Her child was a hybrid. A crossbreed. She had 2 choices, stay in a place she was miserable, without her daughter or husband, or flee with them to protect them, because she is one of the strongest users of magic in the cosmos. She had another daughter, who took the throne from her, yes, but likely she felt that child was safe with her husband, and, she, might have, even ordered the monsters to stay clear of that other daughter, who knows.

I THINK. She isn't even sure! Eclipsa abandoned her post to a child, yes, but she knew that child would be safe. Her other daughter? Her monstrous husband? They might be relatively safe, but they could still be unsafe. Eclipsa with them, though? They were assuredly safe, because at the time, she was the strongest wielder of magic alive that wasn't Glossaryck.
