I mean it's not like being first gives you any advantage. I betcha the first architect wasn't as talented as those that followed.

Another sped idea (there's a really weird glitch that changes the spelling of s-c-r-a-p-p-e-d to "sped" every time anyone writes it. ):
Before I decided to make him a pirate, my exiled lion NPC Lyrix was originally going to be the RP's version of Shadowind! It made sense at the time, due to his similarities with Lavertus: a close relative of one or more of the main lion characters (Lagravis & Laval, Lycor), who was exiled from the lion tribe after getting framed for a crime and/or framing someone else for a crime (Crominus, Lycor), and at some point was controlled by someone with a persuader plant (Crominus, Lysandre*). In the end though, I'm glad I sped this unoriginal idea in favor of making Lyrix a much different character. It would've been cool I guess, but why make Lyrix a rehash of a canon character, when I could make him my own character?
*Lysandre controlling Lyrix was another sped concept, because I decided I wanted Lyrix to have actually turned bad by his own doing and betray Lycor.
Ech, a concept similar to that would be Scordon Freeman being a Gorilla, and Spalyx Vance being an Eagle. And conglomerate Forgotten (I would’ve just called the Forgotten, the “Outland Resistance Force” (ORF) instead) being Gorillas and Eagles, and other tribes that aren’t affiliated with the chima alliance to fight in the outlands, but not for the Chima alliance.
Aperture Mesa being an perfect, neighboring rival to egorsmirnov ’s GOTTA, and Aperture Mesa East in abandoned Hydroelectric plants near the Eagle Spires. Scrin would still be A scorpion, commanding the Gorilla Scordon Freeman and hypothetical “ORF”, but for a twist, would be a long-lost brother of Scorponok. Barney would still be Barney, but as a refugee Bat in the Eagle spires after he was freed from captivity, not bat 3IC. Bratta would be the duaghter of Bliston, not sister. And a whole lotta different things. basically, alot of things would/would not change and/or happen.
The Black Overwatch would still be what they are today, but commanded by Bliston instead of Barney, and controlled by Scorponok, if you were to accept it. Also Scorpio was still Prince of Scorpions, and I would marry Scorpio and Bratta together to strengthen relations between Bats and Scorpions on that alternate unused timeline. Still, if you would accepted it. Corvidholme would still be as it is, but in Raven territory instead on the outland-inland boarder. Father Grigori would still be the same, except, less monarchy-minded. I would have not made Skinnet and Skünkeltia as characters of mine, including the rescue from Corvidholme, and neither Furtivo too for batonmaster500 .
Basically, i had a lot of ideas going round’ at the time in the outland era, so yea. Its alot.
TBH, what im going off is not semi-original by any means, but its fun to put it in a setting where it contrasts to that. Now i wanting to draw the aforementioned above.

I just remembered more of my scrapped ideas.
The battle between Crexar and Radcliffe in Retribution was going to take place in the original Lysandre Labs, and they were going to be destroyed when the Labs were bombed by Rica. This was changed due to timeline contradictions.
Additionally, Eglor was going to escape with the MMSC blueprints, only for them to be taken from him by Lyrix. This was quickly scrapped, as it would've caused two major continuity problems: 1) If Eglor survived, he would've told the eagles of the oncoming war, and they would've been prepared for the Eagle Spire attack in the RP, and... 2) If Lyrix got the MMSC plans, that wouldn't make sense, as the lions don't have a MMSC in the RP.
In the RP, halfway through 2018, Vamprah, Dr. Benjamin, and Braxin were going to be incinerated in the explosion of a fire chi powered staff (the one in Expedition of Exiles), which was going to occur in the Spider Caverns for some reason.

Well that sounds cool,
Now that I think about it, the last one was just so I could smash a bunch of spiders.
I feel like posting this since it's funny in hindsight; I had written this outline for a story in 2020 during a time of inactivity in the RP. At the time, the roleplay seemed to be "dying" (yet now that's happening again), so I ended up planning this story that would pick up where the "dead" RP left off, and at least wrap up things for my characters. The RP became super active again in late 2020 or 2021, so the events happening in the RP obviously started contradicting what I wrote in the outline. It's interesting to see how many things ended up happening differently in the RP than in this scrapped story, especially with my characters going about things differently and acting differently as a result of other roleplayers' interactions with them.
All of this was definitely for the better, but I consider the events of "Retribution II" to be an alternate timeline. I think it makes more sense to post this here, rather than on Chima Chat.
When asked by Rica what that has to do with this, Lycor explains that it's very likely he will be appointed the next Lion King, since his uncle is the current Regent, his parents are on the Ruling Council, and Lycan has stated that he believes Lycor to be fit for the duty. Lycor explains to Rica that if she lets him and his men go and he becomes Lion King, he'll ally the Lions with the Ravens and Forgotten, since his mother Lyn has already prevented Lycan from starting a war on the Forgotten thus far. Rica agrees to the prospect, and lets Lycor go.
Soon after Lycor reports to Lycan about what happened with Radnar (excluding the part about getting caught by Rica, and his subsequent deal with her), Lyndis arrives at the Lion City that night, and meets with her brother. She questions his recent actions, including his declaration of war on The Forgotten. Annoyed at Lyn for preventing a battle between the Lions and Forgotten at the Croc Swamp, Lycan explains that he had captured Scorm in order to learn how the undead former king had become immortal, so that an immortal Lion King could be put into power, due to the recent disappearances of multiple kings. However, since it became clear that Scorm had no knowledge about his own resurrection, Lycan decided that there was a way he could still get use out of Scorm; he allowed Scordon Freeman to break Scorm out of Lion City, so that he could use this event to declare war on the Forgotten, whom he'd distrusted for a long time, due to their actions, and the fact that they surrounded the Lion Tribe on virtually every side. With Scordon having committed this war crime, Lycan had a valid reason in the eyes of the populace to declare war, and thus have the Chima Alliance eliminate the Forgotten threat. Lyn scolds her brother for his paranoia and his manipulative plan, but Lycan stands his ground, and tells Lyn that they can discuss the matter the next day.
However, later that night, the masked Erdrik impersonator himself infiltrates Lycan's bedroom, and assassinates the warmongering Lion Supreme Regent [since the Battle of the Phoenix Isles didn't occur in this timeline, leading Galvanor to do this instead], to prevent more wars between the tribes of Chima, so that they'll unite against his enemy, the Manta Ray Empire. Lycan's death (which had been setup by the Eagle King to look like it was caused by a heart attack) makes the news headlines the next day, and as the Lions grieve their temporary leader's passing, Lyrix, on the Isle of Neutrality, is distraught. Lyrix suspects his father's death to have been an assassination, and (knowing of the existence of the chi ghost concoctions thanks to Gibbs), after meeting with Lincoln—who consoles Lyrix for his loss, but still seems very cold and almost emotionless—sets out alone to the Gorilla Jungle, so he can summon Lycan's chi ghost to confirm the truth. (2/?)
Back in the Lion City, Lycor is crowned, as expected. King Lycor, honoring his deal with Rica, publicly allies with the Raven Tribe and, by extension, The Forgotten. [Wol'jin hadn't been overthrown by Lobo in this timeline, meaning the Scorpions and Gorillas never added the Forgotten to Unichi to replace the Wolves.] Though he grieves his uncle's passing, Lycor knows that Lycan's death and the advent of this alliance have permanently eliminated any possibility of a war between the Lions and Forgotten. Lycor also officially allies with his friends, the Empire of Balance, creating an "alliance web" between the Fire Tribes, the Empire, the Chima Alliance, and the Forgotten and their allies. Eagle messengers arrive at Lion City, asking the new king to ally with the Eagles and Unichi as well, but Lycor is hesitant, still not entirely trusting of "Erdrik" and the Wolves' relatively new President, Wol'jin. The chi ghost of Scorpix [see The Last Reincarnations] visits the Lion King after the eagles leave, and Lycor tells his old rival about his concerns. Scorpix assures Lycor that he'll ask the Scorpion Consuls about Wol'jin, and flies off. Lycor then starts thinking about Lyrix, and the last discussion he'd had with his cousin in the Grassy Plains.
Lyrix, in the Great Forest by now, is found by a Lion Tribe patrol, who immediately report the appearance to King Lycor while in pursuit of the former pirate. Lyrix is saved from capture, however, by two beings (Lyrix can't recognize their voices, faces or scents due to the special robes they wear that seem to obscure all those things, and he also notes that, if the two men have wings or tails, they're covered by the billowing robes). The two white-robed men seem to be aware of who Lyrix is, and suspect correctly that he is seeking the truth about his father's death through Lycan's chi ghost. The men explain that they have the same goal; to learn the truth about something through the words of a chi ghost. Lyrix agrees to travel with them to the Gorilla Jungle so they can aid each other, but he is constantly on guard, since the Two Hooded Men, as he calls them, refuse to reveal their identities.
After receiving the report about Lyrix from the Lions in the Great Forest, Lycor continues to think about his cousin's philosophy, and about how Lyrix must feel following his father's death. Finally, Lycor makes up his mind, and announces to his tribe that Lyrix is to be officially pardoned, since he has already received punishment for his crimes in the form of his exile.
Meanwhile, in light of the events of The Last Reincarnations, Leodus travels north alone, so that he can question the imprisoned Malgus (in case the other wizard knew of any more Fire Wing Harness locations), in addition to personally meeting with King Malgus II, in hopes of convincing the Mammoths to become part of the Empire of Balance. Retribution II synopsis (continued)
Leodus leaves the Vulture and Leopard armies with Vamprah in the Valley of Balance, so that the Vulture Lord can lead the Empire's planned surprise attack on the Icebears in Crystal Crater. On his way to the Frozen Tusk, however, Leodus is met in the air by Malgus II in a mammoth-copter. The two kings land their aircraft, and Malgus II explains that his father appears to have been broken out of his cell. Just then, the masked Eagle King arrives with the unconscious and chained Malgus in tow, and armed with a Fire Wing Harness. "Erdrik" explains that his tribe had found the harness soon after the Tribal Summit [again, having not been preoccupied with the battles of Eagle Spire and the Phoenix Isles in this timeline], and he'd ordered the discovery to be kept a secret. Readying for battle, Leodus and Malgus II scold the eagle for bringing the Fire Wings north, after what the Leopard King had explained about the Elemental Balance at the Tribal Summit, but "Erdrik" waves it off, stating that he "couldn't care less" if the tribes of Chima were destroyed, as long as he got justice on the Manta Ray Empire.
The Eagle King boldly attacks both Leodus and Malgus II. During their duel, Leodus manages to knock Erdrik's battle mask off of his face, revealing his true identity, which Malgus II recognizes as Galvanor the gryphon. Malgus II explains that he and his father had found and revived the frozen gryphon when they'd reconstructed the Purple City, and that he'd flown off when the city was attacked by Senix. Galvanor sarcastically congratulates Leodus on unmasking him, and then strikes at the wizard with some sort of tranquilizing dart (the same thing he'd used on Malgus) that "saps" Leodus' inner chi, reducing his magic power, and knocking him unconscious. Galvanor then hypnotizes Malgus II, ordering him to return to his tribe, and to tell them that Malgus had escaped captivity, but was recaptured and relocated to Hunter Prison. Lastly, Galvanor orders Malgus II to contact Vamprah and tell him that Leodus is currently at the Frozen Tusk, meeting with him. The Mammoth King, brainwashed into obedience by the mysterious hypnotism, gets back in the copter and returns to the Frozen Tusk.
In the south, the news about Lyrix's pardon spreads quickly. Lyrix (at the edge of Gorilla Territory by now), while thankful to Lycor for this, comments that the Gorillas will probably still not let them take chi ghost concoctions, since Lyrix and the pirates had raided the area before, and since the Two Hooded Men were suspicious individuals. The group sneaks through the jungle, and they work to infiltrate the Chi Ghost Temple.
At the same time, Galvanor, back in his Erdrik facade, returns to his throne room and hides the two captured wizards before any eagles can see. There is one eagle there, though, and Galvanor speaks to the eagle about the progress of the "machine". (4/?)
Galvanor is soon informed, however, of an attack on Chima's coast from an unknown fish-like species (it is at this point that the story catches up to, and crosses over with, [what I thought would be] the current events in the RP). Galvanor sends Eagle forces to combat the invasion, in hopes of capturing and interrogating at least one of the creatures.
Lyrix and the Two Hooded Men infiltrate the Chi Ghost Temple, only for one of the Two Hooded Men to announce that they were being followed. The group pounces on their follower, who had "gotten just a bit too close", giving away his presence. They apprehend a lion, who Lyrix at first assumes is from the Lion Tribe, but the lion explains that he's from the Isle of Neutrality, and that it had been his job to follow Lyrix, following Lincoln's directions via a tracking device in Lyrix's cloak. Lyrix discovers the device, smashes it, and comments about how Lincoln is a "control freak" when it comes to the citizens of his island. As the Two Hooded Men restrain the lion outside the temple so he can't eavesdrop, Lyrix moves on ahead and takes a chi ghost concoction, summoning the ghost of Lycan. At last, Lycan confirms Lyrix's suspicion about his death, and warns his son about the Erdrik impersonator, cautioning him to not go after the mysterious Eagle King if it endangers his own life.
Lyrix then comes up with the idea of Lycan possessing a body to return to life, but Lycan turns down the offer, stating that he doesn't care much for Chima anymore, and prefers being with the rest of the family in the Chi Ghost Realm. Just as Lycan bids Lyrix farewell and the Two Hooded Men arrive to summon their own Chi Ghost, an Eagle Spec Ops force ambushes and captures them. The eagles explain to the three enraged men that they were sent by King Erdrik to find and capture Lycan's exiled son. The eagles throw back the hoods of the Two Hooded Men, revealing their identities as Rawlin and Radnar. The eagles, not knowing the reason their king wanted them to capture Lyrix, and immediately more interested in the capture of Rawlin, are distracted by this revelation, allowing Lyrix to narrowly escape, stealing one of the eagle jets.
As the battles with the western invaders [consisting of the Rays, Thefirstdecade's sharks, and possibly other roleplayers' aquatic tribes] rage on in the world outside, the two ravens and the lion who'd been outside the temple are secretly imprisoned and privately interrogated by "Erdrik" (who has announced his discovery of the Fire Wing Harness to Chima by now, and now wears it all the time) in Eagle Spire. (5/?)
