Scrapped ideas, huh? Well, I was originally going to make my scorpion NPC Scorponok a spy for the Forgotten. But then I realized it would be much more interesting if he was a triple agent spying on the spies. A spy for a spy, if you will.

Before I decided to make him a pirate, my exiled lion NPC Lyrix was originally going to be the RP's version of Shadowind! It made sense at the time, due to his similarities with Lavertus: a close relative of one or more of the main lion characters (Lagravis & Laval, Lycor), who was exiled from the lion tribe after getting framed for a crime and/or framing someone else for a crime (Crominus, Lycor), and at some point was controlled by someone with a persuader plant (Crominus, Lysandre*). In the end though, I'm glad I sped this unoriginal idea in favor of making Lyrix a much different character. It would've been cool I guess, but why make Lyrix a rehash of a canon character, when I could make him my own character?
*Lysandre controlling Lyrix was another sped concept, because I decided I wanted Lyrix to have actually turned bad by his own doing and betray Lycor.

Ech, a concept similar to that would be Scordon Freeman being a Gorilla, and Spalyx Vance being an Eagle. And conglomerate Forgotten (I would’ve just called the Forgotten, the “Outland Resistance Force” (ORF) instead) being Gorillas and Eagles, and other tribes that aren’t affiliated with the chima alliance to fight in the outlands, but not for the Chima alliance.
Aperture Mesa being an perfect, neighboring rival to egorsmirnov’s GOTTA, and Aperture Mesa East in abandoned Hydroelectric plants near the Eagle Spires. Scrin would still be A scorpion, commanding the Gorilla Scordon Freeman and hypothetical “ORF”, but for a twist, would be a long-lost brother of Scorponok. Barney would still be Barney, but as a refugee Bat in the Eagle spires after he was freed from captivity, not bat 3IC. Bratta would be the duaghter of Bliston, not sister. And a whole lotta different things. basically, alot of things would/would not change and/or happen.
The Black Overwatch would still be what they are today, but commanded by Bliston instead of Barney, and controlled by Scorponok, if you were to accept it. Also Scorpio was still Prince of Scorpions, and I would marry Scorpio and Bratta together to strengthen relations between Bats and Scorpions on that alternate unused timeline. Still, if you would accepted it. Corvidholme would still be as it is, but in Raven territory instead on the outland-inland boarder. Father Grigori would still be the same, except, less monarchy-minded. I would have not made Skinnet and Skünkeltia as characters of mine, including the rescue from Corvidholme, and neither Furtivo too for batonmaster500.

It went through a lot of rewrites and reshoots, but I think the final result paid off. Also, it's ironic that the Forgotten were originally going to be Eagles and Gorillas, because those 2 tribes are now both at peace with the Crawlers.
Additionally, I had lots of scrapped concepts and ideas for Scorponok. As I said, he was originally going to be a Forgotten spy. But after I decided he'd be a triple agent, I was originally going to have him ambush Scortica (who I thought was a Forgotten spy at the time) and break Scortica's stinger. He and Scorpix were going to tie up Scortica, only for Scorpion Cavern Castle to suddenly be attacked and frozen by the Ice Bears (the Outland spy storyline was originally going to end right at the beginning of Fire vs. Ice). Scorpix and Scorponok were going to narrowly escape into the jungle with the captive Scortica. They were then to immediately begin debating on weather to smash Scortica or not, only for all three scorpions to get ambushed and frozen. After being freed from the ice later on, Scortica and Scorponok would work together to escape the northern regions, and eventually become friends in the process.
Also, Lyrix was going to be a hired mercenary for Lysandre, rather than a pirate.
Also, the mysterious doctor from the Bat Tribe was going to be revealed as being blind, but I realized that wouldn't work right after he read Bachell's note. However, that's what gave me the idea to have a different one of my Outland characters to be blinded, which you will see unfold during fire vs. ice.

After the Black Overwatch Nexus has been destroyed in the Uprising and Scordon fights his way through Scortica’s Citadel, I want Scordon to kick off the event to create the Ice hunters. It will be very explosive and evolutionary, i say.

The Chi reactor in the Outland Citadel is Ice-Cooled, so destroying cooling stations will make it go critical and kablooey.
