The Helm of Fate has far greater control over energy. The homing attacks land anyway.
Demon <insert titles> is hit by the blasts, taking a step back. He picks up one of the nearby cars and flings it at Doctor Fate, rushing in to attack behind it.
Doctor fate jumps up, grabs the car, and swings it round at Demon in one flowing motion.

Demon knocks the car aside with a sweep of his hand, simultaneously swinging his sword at Doctor Fate with immense Force.

"Holy smokes!" he exclaims, taking a step back. "What are you?!" Brian's face is a mask of terror as he scrambles away from the door.
"Relax. I'm human." Batboy turns to standing position, his arms crossed, hovering just above the ground. "Mostly."
Brian swallows and stands up slowly. "What do you want with me?" he asks with obvious terror tainting his usually sure voice.
