Are we considering Watchmen canon? Dr. Manhattan is somewhat important to the DC multiverse canon.
I don't see why anyone would want the characters for anything other than nostalgia(or absurd powers, in Dr. Manhattan's case). Plus, it's pretty dark for LMBE.

I'm cool with operating it, but I don't a single character that has a shred of claim to it, unless the Court of Owls has a Metropolis branch that for some reasons owns the Daily Planet. I will keep operating the Daily unless someone wants to claim. If anyone has Superman, this is a GOLDEN opportunity.
