Because missiles could go through fire and still blow up their targets, and shatter ice structures despite being frozen, according to Legobuilder. So an entire ice fortress moving across Chima could immediately be destroyed by 1 or 2 missiles, which would take away the suspense. On the other hand, the only way to have missiles not be OP in fire vs. ice, is to have them not be able to affect fire or ice powered vehicles or buildings. But then they'd be useless in the fire vs. ice conflict.
So that's why I said in FvI, missiles will either be OP, or useless.
This implies that Ice Hunter architects are so incompetent as to not mix other materials to make the ice more resistant, and that they should be able to get away with building superstructures out of water in relatively little time. It also implies that their buildings are blocks of ice, and don't have sections made of other materials such as wood, stone and steel.
Well, OK. The Ice Hunter fortresses in the show were mountains of ice, so I'm pretty sure that unless we used Fanon fortresses, about 9 or 10 missiles could scatter an Ice Hunter army and destroy all their structures. Missiles also take away from the point of FvI; the idea is for the sides to use the elements and element-powered weapons to fight each other, not large, realistic, non-elemental weapons like missiles.
However, perhaps a good compromise would be to just have all the missiles be the kinds in these images: (sorry the 2nd one is so huge)

Makes sense to me. But if anyone will make the fire tribes, i'm aure to join them.

We are not here to recreate every little detail in the show, including plot holes and dumb stuff. Besides, one can clearly see pieces of rock and battlements sticking off from the Ice Fortress, implying that indeed it is a mountain castle covered by snow and ice.

I'm making the Leopards. I have no plans to make the Phoenix or tigers, so right now I don't know who'll make those 2 tribes.

Not sure what you mean by that. I was saying that we should have more futuristic, Chima-type missiles, rather than giant, realistic missiles that humans would make. Chima in essence is a mix of fantasy and science fiction. That's why I voted for the "far future" era, because that's the closest one to Chima's canon technology level.
I understand missiles in the Civil War and Crawler War, but when it's a battle between 2 pure elements, realistic missiles being blasted around that have nothing to do with fire or ice would be jarring and out of place. It would also negate the point of the Fire side. Why need Fire chi to fight the Ice Hunters, when the inland tribes could simply launch a few missiles, blowing up and scattering huge portions of the hunters' ground forces (like I said before)? I agree about the Ice fortress though.
Chuggaconroy: "YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!!!" Aaauugh!!! Another one lost!? How can this even be!?!
Blasphemy of the hieghest order!
This RP is boring. It's as simple as that. The RP has descended into an arms race and is far too close to modern technology for my liking. There is too much fanon and little to no canon. If we stuck to the canon technology from the show with fanon limited by what we saw in the show, I might have stuck around for a little while longer.
I know this was posted really long ago... Bit now I'm feeling the same thing.
I was an avid reader on the MBs and not a user. You will not recognize me but I will recognize you...

I feel a similar way now, but not about the technology.
