Jadyn and Zephyr left the group, Zephyr followed Jadyn as he made his way through the crowd, it was surprisingly easy to keep track of him. Finally as they walked along there were less and less people. Jadyn made his way over to a more grassy and dark side of the fest grounds, Zephyr jogged for a second to keep up with him so that now she was walking right next to him. They walked a little ways and then up a grassy hill. It was completely dark now besides the lights of the festival below and the lights of the stars above. Jadyn sat down in the grass and said calmly. " My parents used to always take me up here to get away from the crowds, and to watch the fireworks. This is actually my first year at this festival without them here. " Zephyr sat down a couple feet away from him and said. " This is my first time ever here. I've never been to a festival before. " There was a moment of silence, Jadyn looked as if he was going to say something but then decided not to. After awhile of silence Zephyr thought of the conversation with Karlof, Griffin Turner and Moe's family. " So you've met those elemental masters before? " She asked. " I've met many elemental masters, I used to meet all sorts of people. " repiled Jadyn. " Used to? " " It was before... Something happened to me when I was really young, I wasn't the same afterwards. " * " So how do you think you inherited gravity? " asked Jadyn suddenly. " I don't know for sure, I don't even know for sure if I have the element of gravity. " repiled Zephyr. " Sensei thinks you do, and I trust him, so I think you do too. " Jadyn grinned slightly. " Perhaps I do then. " said Zephyr grinning too.

*** Her heart just about skipped two beats, because standing only a few feet away was a dark figure wearing a black jacket and a gas mask, the hood of the jacket was pulled up so Zephyr couldn't see the strangers eyes. He was holding a can-like object Zephyr couldn't identify in one hand and in the other he had a brass kunckel like weapon with claw like blades coming out of it. Zephyr instinctively jumped backwards and got to her feet as the stranger slashed the deadly weapon at her soon after. Jadyn jumped up out of the way within the same moment and got into a fighting stance. The stranger then shook the can-like object he was holding, Zephyr wasn't sure what it did but in the heat of the moment she didn't want to find out. So she got as close as she dared and kicked it out of his hand. It rolled down the hill and impacted on something, making the can realise an odd colored smoke. The stranger held up his weapon ready to attack. " Zephyr I don't think we can beat this guy on our own. " said Jadyn, concern in his voice. He was right, this person had a wepon and they didn't. Plus this person had planned the attack and might have more up his sleeve. " I know, what other options do we have? " asked Zephyr. " We may not have many if we want to keep people safe from him. " Answered Jadyn.
The stranger slashed the bladed brass kunckel at Jadyn this time, cutting through his jacket and giving Jadyn a small injury on his upper arm. " Dahh! " shouted Jadyn in pain. * Before the stranger could deliver a second blow Zephyr pulled out her knife and jabbed it at the stranger's arm. She missed her target, but it got the stranger's attention. She jabbed at him again, this time making impact into his arm. * Suddenly out of nowhere a figure appeared and punched the stranger in the jaw, knocking the wepon out of his hand. It was Moe! He was going so fast Zephyr didn't know it was him at first glance. The stranger tried zapping Moe with what Zephyr now realized was teaser. * She then looked over to see Moe getting shocked, it was horrible sight. Zephyr rushed over to the stranger, knife in hand. This time she she delivered much more power with her strike. The stranger dropped the teaser and Jadyn picked it up before he could.

*** Suddenly as they were reaching the other side of the fest grounds something tripped the stranger and he fell to the ground. His feet were incaseed in ice! Zephyr stopped running and tried to catch her breath. Moe soon appeared by Zephyr and Jadyn, and then Lisa and Copic came over from were they had been along with a bunch of other curious people. * " He tried to smash us. " said Jadyn trying to cover up his scratches on his upper arm. Copic suddenly said. " Gasp. HE DID WHAT? Nobody tries to smash my baby brother and gets away with it! Lemme see! " Before anyone could stop her she walked over to the stranger and took off his gas mask to reveal a young man in his twenties. He had some scars and his hair fell in his face. "Oh hey you're kinda cute. " said Copic changing her tone completely. " Copic!" Said Lisa. " Sor-ry, it's true though. " said Copic shrugging while smirking. " Don't you already have a crush on the garbage man? " asked Lisa. " His name is Fred thank you very much. " said Copic in a slightly annoyed tone. ***
Finally they made it home, everyone was exhausted and it was late. Jadyn was finally able to wash out his cuts in the kitchen sink, Lisa helped him with that while asking. " Why didn't you say it was this bad? " "It looks worse than it actually is." Repiled Jadyn wincing a little. All Zephyr could really do was stand by and watch. Jadyn had taken his jacket off so that he could roll up his sleeve on his T shirt to better clean out his cuts which turned out to be be three long clean marks once it was all cleaned up. Copic decided she'd stay the night in the empty room and once everyone was ready they went to their own rooms and went to sleep.
Chapter 13 Dance of the Elements
Zephyr sniffed the air, she wasn't sure why but somehow it helped figure out which direction she needed to go. The fox, coyote and border collie were with her in the the forest, the dragon wasn't this time.They seemed to be on the trail of something. Zephyr pricked her wolf ears forward listening for the softest sounds. There was the padding of feet in the distance. The border collie crouched down and wagged his tail in excitement. The fox creeped forward toward the sound, quietly stalking into the brush on the forest floor. The coyote cocked her head and looked at Zephyr. Suddenly the sound of an animal running was ahead. Zephyr , the fox, the coyote and the border collie raced after the noise. Zephyr was gaining on the creature quickly, as she got close she could see it was a large furry black dog, not larger than Zephyr though. She didn't know why she was chasing it, all she knew was it was important that it was cought. Suddenly the dog disappeared out of sight, it took Zephyr a moment to realize that it had fallen down a hole. A moment to long, Zephyr tumbled down the hole as well landing in the dirt below. She looked around her, the dog was there and so was quite a few other dog-like creatures, the most noticeable of them were wolves... The one that stood out the most though was a large white wolf with faded light blue eyes. The white wolf glared down at Zephyr and then attacked.
Zephyr woke up, it was still night. After awhile of laying awake though she fell back to sleep.

" He gestured to the man in the sunglasses. "That's right, former elemental master of speed. It's not like I'm not still the master of speed though, I'm the fastest man alive on the tracks. " said Griffin Turner grinning. * " And this is Karlof, master of metal, and his niece who I honestly forgot your name. " Moe finished apologetically. " My name is Copper. " said the girl quietly, her face hiding behind her medium length black hair.
