I think this story needs some more story.
Chapter 4 Wolf Vision
Three days later, a beach on the coast of Hiroshi's Labyrinth
Zephyr looked back at the jungle. So full of life and noise and greenery. Zephyr watched as a parrot flew from one branch of a tree to another. She wondered how she was going to keep herself from being homesick. She had almost cried when she had looked around at the treehouse for the last time. They had repaired mostly all of it by now. Uncle Grayson and Zephyr's grandfather were on the water giving the boat one more test before leaving.
They had had to dig it out of the spot it had been in after the storm, so they couldn't be to careful. Zephyr adjusted her backpack on her back. Luckily it had survived the storm, some of the things inside of it had gotten a little wet, but the damage wasn't to bad. She felt a hand on her shoulder and Gavin's voice coming from behind her.
"Don't worry, we can always come back and visit. And besides, I thought you were exited."
"I am, it's just I'll miss Hiroshi's Labyrinth because it's all I've really ever known. Plus this is all so scary..." Zephyr replied.
" What's so scary about it?" He asked,
"It's just... I don't know really, it just is." She said
" Well don't be worried about it. Besides I thought you wanted to be a ninja? Are they scared of anything?" He asked,
"Yeah sometimes." She replied
"Well do they show it? Should they show it?" He asked
"No." She replied with a bit more strength in her voice.
A little later, once the boat was tested, they docked on the shore and loaded Zephyr's and Gavin's belongings onto it. After many long goodbyes to her siblings, cousins, grandparents and aunt. She helped push the boat back out to the water and climbed on it, her pants and shirt dripping wet. Gavin climbed in after her grinning. Uncle Grayson was already on, and Zephyr's parents soon climbed on after Gavin. As uncle Grayson drove the boat away from the shore, Zephyr waved goodbye to the remaining family members on store. She thought she could see Gabe almost crying.
Stay strong, stay strong. She thought as the boat picked up speed. Soon they were out of sight.
The boat kept going for what felt like forever, she could still see land, but it felt like the same land over and over and over again. All the trees in the distance looked the same and so did the shore. Finally though, they came to a point where it was all water on all sides of them except behind them. Now this made things more interesting for awhile, but after about twenty minutes she started to miss having land next to them. They couldn't really talk that easily because of the boat motor and the splashing water. But her mother and father had been talking with uncle Grayson now and then. Gavin just looked off into the distance most of the time.
He is probably missing home like me, or thinking about what he'll do when we get to the real world. Zephyr thought.
What were they going to do when they got to the real world? Zephyr hadn't given it much thought to be honest. She knew what she wanted to do, and Gavin knew what he wanted to do. But what they were going to do before they could figure out how to do those things was a mystery. Zephyr thought awhlie longer, and started to realize just how tried she was.
Maybe I'll just lay down for a bit. She thought as she layed her head down on some of the baggage. She lay there for awhile. Until she closed her eyes...
Zephyr was standing on a mountain. Kinda like the ones Zephyr had seen pictures of that her father said were very near to Hiroshi's Labyrinth. It was sunset and the sky was shades of orange, red, purple and yellow. Gray clouds above and fog below. Suddenly a huge green dragon flew out of the fog and into the sky. His eyes were gold and his tail was split into two at the end. The underpart of his wings were gold as well. Everything about this dragon shouted power. He looked very strong, and very noble. The dragon noticed her and circled around in the sky to face her. He flew closer to to her and hovered just infrunet of her. She put out her hand to touch his face and the second she did there was a flash of light.
