Worgon was not not afraid of his own destruction. In fact, he embraced it. He'd lived a long and adventurous life, and been all across Chima in that lifetime. At 74 years old, the veteran bounty hunter was going to retire after this mission for Rawlin anyway. But now, it was over. Thank Cavora. He'd never be a pawn of Rawlin, or Crexar, or anyone else ever again. Satisfied at the thought that Crexar and Corok wouldn't be able to find WRM HQ and complete their mission, Worgon closed his eyes as he fell to his doom.
From the other side of the Gorge, Crexar looked at Lyrix with an impressed expression (a sinister sight). "As your betrayal and guilt runs deeper, you're becoming more and more like a backstabbing criminal." Crexar said, smiling. "You'd be a fine addition to my crew." Lyrix spat into the Gorge, disgusted. "I'd never work for or with your Crexar, even if I ever did become a bounty hunter." Lyrix snarled. "And of course I'll never be a criminal. I am a soldier of the Lion army! How dare you?!" As Lyrix brought the unconscious Lycor into the twinblade and flew from the ground, Crexar called out: "Suit yourself, but you can't deny destiny!" Corok laughed loudly.
Wow, that was one of the most amazingly written chapters Ive ever red, it was action packed, and the ending... well it was truly something unique keep up the great work.
In his house in Lion City, which was now surrounded by the darkness of night, Lyrix silently panicked. His last encounter with the bounty hunters had come extremely close to Lycor finding out the truth. Lyrix couldn't let that happen; he couldn't let any lion ever find out about his betrayal, especially not Lycor. With a trembling hand, Lyrix grabbed the glass of water on his desk and took a drink. When Lycor woke up, Lyrix had told him that two of the bounty hunters escaped, and that the MMSC blueprints had fallen into the Gorge. Lycor had understandably believed him, and reported this to the other lions, so now the common belief in the Lion army was that the MMSC plans were at the bottom of the Gorge of Eternal Depth, never to be seen again. And so, the hunt for the MMSC plans was over...but Lyrix' worries were not. There were currently ten beings in Chima who knew of Lyrix' betrayal: Rica, Rex, Razalac, five other ravens, Crexar, and Corok, who Crexar obviously told by now. Any one of those beings could tell any lion soldier about Lyrix' betrayal, and Lyrix would get in massive trouble with his tribe. Why did I even steal the plans and give them to the ravens in the first place?! Lyrix wondered. Well, it was to ensure that I could build my own MMSC with my friend Rica— No. Lyrix thought, growling and squeezing the water glass. She is not my friend anymore. Because of our plan, she caused me to betray my tribe! Because she had me give the MMSC plans to her people, I could get major punishments from my tribe. My "friend" Rica may have gotten me exiled! Lyrix got up and threw the water glass to the wall, shattering it and exploding water around. But then he sank down and collapsed back into his chair, putting his elbows on his desk and his forehead in his hands. Ten people... he thought slowly, That's a lot of people to know a secret. The only way to ensure my safety and clear my name is to get rid of all those people. Then my betrayal will never be known by lions. By Lycor. It's the only way. I must destroy all ten of those beings. Lyrix got up again, this time calmly. It's the only way. He repeated in his thoughts. And there was only one way to destroy all ten of them. Lyrix walked out of his house. He knew what he had to do.
Dr. Radcliffe stood in the rain with Rawlin and a few other high-ranking TI ravens and many security guards. Standing on an aircraft landing pad in Raven HQ while water came down on him nonstop was not one of his plans for the night. But an anonymous informer had contacted Rawlin and told him to gather his highest-ranking underlings on a landing pad so he could arrive and tell them the location of WRM HQ. So, Radcliffe now stood next to Rawlin in the rain, with bodyguards in front of them and the rest of the high-rankers behind them. A crack of thunder sounded, and a flash of lightning illuminated the silhouette of a lion twinblade helicopter. The twinblade came to rest on the landing pad, even as laser blasters from soldiers and turrets were trained on it in case it attacked Rawlin. A lone lion stepped out of the twinblade, carrying a wooden picture frame. The lion was wearing a hooded cloak. The Lion walked toward Rawlin and Radcliffe, with the raven guards surrounding him. "Who are you?" Asked Rawlin. "That isn't important." Said the lion. The guards pointed their blasters at him from all directions. "Oh, I think it is." Rawlin said. The lion looked around at the blasters. "Fine." The lion submitted. "My name is Lyrix, and I know the location of WRM HQ. The location of your enemies. Their last remaining stronghold. Destroy it, destroy them, and you can end the Raven Civil War." "Yes, I know." Rawlin said impatiently. "One of the bounty hunters already found it." "But he never got the chance to lead you there." Lyrix said. Rawlin was silent. "I have the map of the HQ's interior with me." Lyrix continued, showing Rawlin the wooden picture frame and the illustration it contained. "I put it in this frame so the ink wouldn't run off in the rain." "How did you get that map?" Inquired Dr. Radcliffe. "I was once an ally of Rica." Lyrix explained. "How do we know you aren't still?" Rawlin growled. "If I was, I wouldn't be giving you the map of WRM HQ." Lyrix said. "We share common goals, Rawlin. We both want WRM HQ destroyed. We both want Rica destroyed. We both want the WRM ravens who took the plans to be destroyed. Here, take the map, and attack WRM HQ with the information I've given you. Please." Lyrix handed the map to Rawlin. "Thank you." Rawlin said. "I suggest sending the bounty hunters to get the MMSC plans while Rica and the others are distracted fighting you." Lyrix called as he walked back to his twinblade. "I thought the bounty hunters were all destroyed?" Asked Dr. Radcliffe. "Worgon lied." Lyrix answered, as he got into the cockpit. "Crexar and Corok are both still alive." Lyrix flew away as the blades spun rapidly, cutting the raindrops into smaller raindrops. "We attack tomorrow morning!" Rawlin announced. "Military division, get ready for a massive assault in the Iron Mountains." The commanders nodded and flew off the landing pad. Rawlin smiled and put his hand on Radcliffe's shoulder. "Soon we will be rid of the old-fashioned WRM wackos." He said. "And when we get your blueprints, you can finally start building the MMSC." Radcliffe nodded. When Rawlin and the last few ravens flew off the landing pad, Radcliffe remained. Now without any more outposts, all of the WRM ravens were undoubtedly in WRM HQ. That included Radcliffe's estranged son, Rex. Radcliffe didn't care if they were on opposite sides. He was getting his son out of there, even if the rest of the WRM ravens burned with their base.
Lyrix had other plans. While flying through the wet sky, he thought of them once again in his mind: Crexar and Corok would be going to WRM HQ to get the MMSC plans. That means everyone who knew of Lyrix' betrayal would be in one place. As Rawlin and his forces destroyed Rica, Razalac, Rex, and the five other ravens who knew the secret, Lyrix would sneak into WRM HQ during the chaos of war, ambush Crexar and Corok, and destroy both of them. Then, all ten people who knew Lyrix' secret would be wiped off the map, and the lions would never find out. It would finally be over. Lyrix would be safe.
Ok, I really love the story, so I will make some comments on it. Lyrix's main flaw with his plan is that anyone one of those 10 could tell it to someone else, like maybe Corok, to some more bounty hunters, to shame Lyrix, but also basically keep the secret alive.

Exactly, that's why he wants to destroy all 10 of them before they can tell anyone. But of course, it won't exactly go as planned.

For perhaps the first time since Razar was alive, Rica was happy. The WRM ravens had finally obtained the MMSC blueprints the day before, and already began construction on their own battle station. The seven ravens who'd returned with the plans were given medals of honor. One of them, Razalac, the original spy who'd liberated the plans, was promoted to the rank of captain in what remained of the WRM army. Now, Rica perched alone on a balcony near the top of WRM HQ, looking out over the inlands below. "Everything is going perfectly according to plan!" Said Rica, who had no idea of Lyrix's double-cross. Suddenly, an enormous armada of raven jets and gliders came into view from the southeast (the direction Rica was facing). "No..." said Rica. "Impossible! How did they find us?!" Laser blasts and explosions immediately ravaged the HQ and the mountain it was built atop. Jets and gliders flew right to the front of the HQ. It was too late to go back inside. Rica flew off the balcony as it was blasted off the face of the tower and tumbled down below. Laser turrets on the HQ retaliated without Rica even needing to order it. Many TI vehicles were shot down, but the HQ was no match for the massive army. TI ravens broke through the gates, flooded into the HQ, and fought the WRM ravens inside. The TI Air Force began demolishing the HQ from the outside. The WRM Air Force, now led by Razalac, attempted to stop the attackers, and jets from both factions engaged in the air. Rica flew above the battle and watched it happen, reflecting on the HQ's history. It'd been a top-secret secondary headquarters for the Raven tribe built high in the Iron Mountains in case the ravens ever went to war with the rhinos (for some reason, Rawzome hadn't trusted the rhino tribe). Even Rawlin hadn't known of its existence, so when he took over Raven HQ, Rica led the rest of the WRM loyalist ravens to this stronghold. So its secrecy from Rawlin only lasted a few months. Rica thought sadly, as the HQ crumbled before her.
Dr. Radcliffe infiltrated the HQ in secret, and flew through concealed in darkness, until he found Rex fighting off the invading TI ravens. He grabbed Rex from behind and flew away as fast as he could. Despite his son's struggles to get free, Radcliffe flew him out of the building and all the way to the taller mountain behind the HQ's mountain. Radcliffe set Rex down on the mountaintop. "You!!" Shouted Rex angrily. "Me." Said Radcliffe. "Listen son, you need to get out of here. I'm giving you a chance. Take it." "But why??" Asked Rex, scrambling to his feet. "You're a traitor who works for TI! Why would you try to get me to safety?" "Because you are my son, Rex." Answered Radcliffe. "And your HQ is crumbling." Rex looked down. It was true. WRM HQ may have been a huge, thick tower, but it was no match for the entire TI army. "Fly, you fool!" Radcliffe insisted. "I know we are on opposite sides, and you can rejoin the rest of the WRM ravens who escape, but you must leave, son! Surely that is the only thing we agree on." Rex finally nodded, but stopped as he was about to fly away. "Come with me, father." Rex said, turning around. "You can join WRM, and we can be on the same side. We can work together to take down Rawlin, and then we can both live in Raven HQ." "No." Replied Radcliffe, shaking his head. "It's too late. Perhaps someday, after TI and WRM destroy each other, we can be on the same side: the neutral side. If that doesn't happen, there might be a time in the future when you leave WRM. Then, it will be your choice where to go." Rex nodded and hugged his father. "Now, go!" Said Razalac. "Before the TI soldiers see you." Rex flew away, disappearing into the mist. Radcliffe watched him go before turning around and flying back to Raven HQ, to resume his duty as Rawlin's head scientist, for there was no other life for him.
After donning the needed gear, Lyrix had climbed up the mountain in secret. He had made it to the top and went through the HQ's wrecked doors. He'd proceeded to track down and eliminate the knowers of his secret one-by-one. Five of the ravens had been easy to find, thanks to the medals of honor they wore. Only Rica, Razalac, Rex, Crexar, and Corok remained to be destroyed. Unfortunately, Rica and Rex were both nowhere to be seen. Lyrix had seen Razalac piloting a chi raider jet and dogfighting the TI jets of the same name outside, though. Lyrix decided that he would track down and destroy those three remaining ravens after exiting the HQ. So that just left the bounty hunters. Running through the HQ, unnoticed by the ravens locked in combat with each other, Lyrix was able to spot Crexar and Corok taking the MMSC plans in the chaos. Lyrix plugged chi and ambushed the bounty hunters. "Well, well, well, if it isn't Lyrix!" Crexar said. "Here to get the MMSC plans, I presume?" "Nope." Answered Lyrix, blasting at Crexar and Corok. "The lions believe the plans to be destroyed." "So you lied to them again." Said Crexar, amused. "And I see you're using the laser crossbow of your fallen foe, Worgon." "Why are you here, if not for the plans?!?!" Yelled Corok. "I'm here to destroy both of you!" Said Lyrix, pouncing on the crocs.
"The skies are lost!" Said Razalac, who'd parked his jet behind the mountain the HQ was built atop. "As is the base. We must leave, your highness." "I suppose you're right, captain." Said Rica sadly. "But we cannot let the HQ or the MMSC blueprints fall into the hands of Rawlin. We must destroy both those things. Rawzome planted hundreds of bombs beneath the back of the building. The contingency plan was for us to detonate the bombs and send the tower falling down the mountain to prevent an enemy army from taking the base. I bet he never thought the enemies would be fellow ravens." "But...your highness," said Razalac, "what about all our WRM ravens inside the HQ?" "They'll be able to fly out." Said Rica. She took a small detonator out of one of her pockets. "Now let's get out of here." Rica got into the back passenger compartment of the jet, and Razalac took off, managing to escape the battle with the other remaining WRM jets and gliders. "So is this it?" Asked Razalac. "Has Rawlin won the Raven Civil War?" Rica thought for a moment, before answering, "No. It isn't over. We may not have a headquarters or outposts anymore, but we'll keep fighting Rawlin with guerilla warfare tactics. We'll have to live in camps of tents from now on, but we will continue the war until we win." Rica pushed the button on the detonator.
Lyrix saw a dissapointing sight as he looked out a window on the second floor of the HQ. Rica and Razalac were visible for just a second in an escaping jet. That meant two of the people who knew Lyrix's secret lived to fight another day, and Rex had obviously left by then. Even if he destroyed Crexar and Corok, Lyrix wouldn't be safe. Thinking of the escaped ravens, Lyrix realized his plan was falling apart. Suddenly, however, a huge explosion from beneath and behind rocked the base. The explosions continued, and tore the HQ off the face of the mountain. The combined force of the explosions blasted the tower into a spiral down the mountain. The tower flipped over and over during its descent into doom, as many ravens fell out, many others tumbled around inside, and still many others scrambled over each other to fly out. All the while, Crexar, Lyrix, and Corok, the only beings in the base without wings, were left tumbling helplessly through each floor of the tower. Crexar, still clutching the MMSC blueprints, spotted an intact raven glider falling through the tower. Crexar managed to grab on and pull himself into the driver's seat. "OH NO, YOU DON'T!!" Lyrix roared. "NO MORE OF YOU WILL ESCAPE!!" Crexar managed to avoid Lyrix's blasts, but his glider was hit with debris and spiraled out of control before it could pick up Corok. Corok turned around while free falling, and blasted at Lyrix with his large croc blaster, shooting the remaining maChi gun out of Lyrix's paw. But Lyrix blasted at Corok with Worgon's laser crossbow, destroying the croc gun and injuring Corok. Lyrix slammed into Corok and blasted him in his one good eye. "ARRGGH!!!" Roared Corok. Lyrix kicked him in the back, propelling himself off of Corok as the falling bounty hunter hit the burning wall of the tower and exploded. "NO!!" Shouted Crexar, but he couldn't avenge his comrade, as rubble was dangerously falling around him. So Crexar was forced to fly away in his glider. He was just lucky enough to zoom through a window, leaving Lyrix falling. "Ha! Lyrix is surely destroyed!" Crexar said, looking back at the falling HQ as he flew to Rawlin's forces with the MMSC plans. But Lyrix had also survived to fight another day. Fueled by chi, Lyrix had jumped out a window, and was only able to get a hold on the mountain side because of the climbing gear he wore. Now, Lyrix looked down at the HQ as it crashed on the ground far below in an enormous explosion.
And so, Crexar got the plans for Rawlin, and earned his pay, but not without losing his team. The last headquarters of the Wings Row Monarchy was destroyed, as were the plans of both Rica and Lyrix. Rica now believed the MMSC blueprints were destroyed, and so her plan to build her own would never come to fruition. Rica, Razalac, Rex, and Crexar survived, and so Lyrix's plan had failed, and there were four people who knew of his betrayal of the lion tribe (however, since Crexar now believed Lyrix to be destroyed, he would never have a reason to blackmail the lion, and therefore would never tell anyone). The plans of Rica and Lyrix were crushed that day, just like the WRM HQ when it hit the ground. For often times, the best laid plans of ravens and lions end only in despair.
Six months later (December of 3 BR)... Dr. Radcliffe stood on a catwalk overlooking Talon Industries' largest garage. Hundreds upon hundreds of ravens and construction vehicles below were finishing their greatest project. "It is complete!" A foreman shouted, and the building erupted into a roar of cheering. Workers threw their hats in the air, ravens flew around and around in circles. "But at what cost...?" Asked Dr. Radcliffe to himself, gazing at the completed Mobile Missile Strike Command. Ever since they'd got the blueprints back six months ago, Rawlin had left Radcliffe in the dark. Despite being the one who designed the MMSC, Radcliffe still had no idea who or what it was intended to be used against, and any attempts to learn its purpose were stopped. It was frustrating, to say the least. "Now all we have to do is stock it up with jets and missiles!" Another worker shouted. Radcliffe tried to listen closely to catch any mention of the MMSC's purpose, but heard nothing of the sort. " it!" Radcliffe whispered. He presently heard someone land on the catwalk a few feet to his right. He turned to see Rawlin. "The MMSC couldn't have become a reality without you, Doctor!" Rawlin said happily, walking up and clapping Radcliffe on the shoulder. "It would be nice to know what my creation is to be used for..." Radcliffe said. "That is classified information, my colegue." Rawlin replied. "So you have said, multiple times." Radcliffe said. "But tell me; why must I be kept from knowing? Surely now that it's complete, you can tell me." "It will still require years of preparation before we can use it." Rawlin announced, trying to change the subject. "We need to gather all the vehicles and missiles to be housed inside it." "I don't care!" Radcliffe shouted. "It is MY creation, and I deserve to know who it will be used against!" Any trace of a smile left on Rawlin's beak vanished. "Know your place, Doctor." Rawlin said coldly. "The MMSC is mine, and I decide what you know or don't know about it." " it, Rawlin!!" Radcliffe yelled. "I designed this thing! It is mine!" "It is not, nor will it ever be!" Rawlin shouted. "I only needed you to design it, Dr. Radcliffe. Be grateful I had use for you in the first place..." Rawlin flew off the catwalk without another word. Radcliffe watched him go, before leaving himself. Radcliffe would need advice from a lion scientist he'd met a few months ago.
Dr. Radcliffe flew to the Iron Mountains, where a colony of scientists (mostly lions and gorillas, but also some other species) had established a research camp in a crevice between two mountains. A few months ago, Dr. Radcliffe had met and befriended the leader of the group, a lion who'd introduced himself as Liovanni. Now, as he entered the camp, Radcliffe was let into Liovanni's office. The room reminded Radcliffe of his old office in the Raven HQ's central tower, the one he'd had at the time the MMSC plans were stolen, before relocating to another room in the tower. Like Radcliffe's old office, Liovanni's had a wall-sized window behind the desk and file cabinets at the walls on either side. The window in this office overlooked the rest of the camp, where trucks were driving in with lots of building materials. Liovanni was standing, facing the window with his paws clasped together behind his back. "What brings you here, my friend?" Asked Liovanni without turning from the window. "I have come seeking council." Radcliffe answered, walking up next to him. "I figured you might be able to offer me advice in this situation." "Only if I know what kind of situation you are in." Said Liovanni. "What are you building?" Asked a distracted Radcliffe, noticing the trucks and materials outside. "The future." Answered Liovanni. Radcliffe had built a future as well, but it was possibly a bad future... "Anyway, I was tasked to design...an important vehicle for the raven tribe." Radcliffe explained. "But Rawlin will not tell me what it is to be used for, besides defending the HQ. Even now, when the project is complete, he refuses to tell me. It's frustrating that he keeps the vehicle's creator in the dark." "Sometimes Rawlin neglects to do what he should do for his peers." Liovanni commented, turning to Radcliffe. "Have you ever heard the tragedy of Lysandre Labs?" "No." Radcliffe answered. "I thought not." Said Liovanni. "It's not a story Rawlin would tell you..." "Wait, I came here to ask your advice about this situation." Radcliffe said. "Of course." Liovanni said. "Well, have you any idea why he isn't telling you the vehicle's purpose?" "No, he didn't even tell me why he didn't tell me." Radcliffe answered. "Perhaps Rawlin feared that you wouldn't design the vehicle if you knew its true purpose." Liovanni said. "I don't know why he'd think that..." Said Radcliffe slowly. "Sometimes it is better to not know the truth." Liovanni said quietly, looking out the window at the gathering trucks with their building materials. "Sometimes the truth is painful and startling to learn. Sometimes it is necessary to be kept secret until the right time." "Perhaps Rawlin feared I wouldn't design it if I knew..." Radcliffe echoed, trailing off. Something clicked in his mind then. He realized why Rawlin had refused to let Radcliffe know who the MMSC was to be used against. All this time, the answer was right in front of him. "No..." Radcliffe whispered. Liovanni looked at Radcliffe. "I must go!" Radcliffe said, whirling around from the window. "Thank you, Liovanni." "You're welcome, Doctor." Liovanni said. Radcliffe flew from the office in a haste. Lysandre watched him go, before turning back to the window.

"No, he didn't even tell me why he didn't tell me." Radcliffe answered.
OOC: Its gret seeing all the storys connected, hopefully thefirstdecade, will connect his story with the rest of ours... somehow.
(OOC: Scordon Freeman’s story is abit non-rp-canon and thats when the crawlers were being developed at the time. Scorpio’s story is also non-rp-cannon. Its supposed to be a remastering of an old MB story called “Scorpion Away From Home”. I think some of you remember it, yes? )
Dr. Radcliffe returned to the Raven HQ's largest garage, where the MMSC was already armed with many missiles. As the designer of the MMSC, he was easily able to obtain the blueprints. He then flew away with haste, leaving the city forever. Dr. Radcliffe would not fly to Eagle Spire; Rawlin would predict that. Instead, he flew to a place he hoped no one would find him at. As he glided above the Great Desert, Radcliffe called Eglor on his phone. "Yeah?" Asked Eglor. "It's me, Radcliffe!" Radcliffe said fast. "You must meet me in the Hollow of the Outland Mountains." "The Outland Mountains?!" Asked Eglor, shocked. "Why in Chima would you want to go there?" "I have something to give you in secret!" Radcliffe said, talking so fast he sputtered. "That's the place no one would expect us to be! There's no time to explain! Just meet me there, please!" "Okay, fine!" Said Eglor, confused.
The Hollow was a huge, empty opening at the eastern side of the Outland Mountains, facing the Outland Jungle. It was the space where Black Mountain had once been, before the Great Earthquake caused Black Mountain to break off and drift southeast one thousand years ago. Nestled between two mountains, with the jungle below its slope, the Hollow had a rough, rocky surface. A few monstrous predator plants had grown up from the cracks in the surface, but were eternally trapped in the rock, feeding only off of rain water and the occasional insect. Two hours after leaving Raven HQ, Radcliffe met up with Eglor down in the middle of the Hollow, where there weren't any plants. Frustrated predator plants above and around bit at the air, trying to find and eat the creatures they sensed. After Eglor explained why it had taken him so long to get there (he'd been very busy), Radcliffe hurriedly explained what was going on. "Rawlin is planning to use my creation to destroy Eagle Spire and its inhabitants!" Radcliffe said, shoving the MMSC blueprints into Eglor's hands. "I created it without being told its intentions, because of my friendship with you eagles. I can't undo what I've done, but I can secretly give you the blueprints so your tribe can build your own Mobile Missile Strike Command to combat Rawlin's!" "Wait, Rawlin wants to destroy the eagles?" Eglor asked. "Are you sure?" "I am positive." Answered Radcliffe. "That's why he refused to let me know the purpose of my creation. Rawlin is planning to wage war on the eagles, and who knows how many other tribes, with the MMSC. No one can stop it. The war is now inevitable. The least I can do is give you these plans, so that you can build a battle station to give you a fighting chance." "Well...I don't know what to say." Said Eglor, looking at the plans and then at Radcliffe. "You created something that can destroy my tribe and my home?" "Yes, and I am so sorry." Said Radcliffe. "I had no idea...But please, take the plans." "Alright..." Said Eglor. "There really isn't any way to stop the war?" "I'm afraid not." Radcliffe said sadly, shaking his head. "But its outcome can be changed." "Radcliffe, look out—!" Eglor said suddenly, as Radcliffe spun around, only to be whacked on the head by the jaw of a predator plant. When Radcliffe climbed back up, he saw Crexar standing before him, holding a predator plant he'd ripped out of the ground. "It's been a while, Doctor." Crexar said, squeezing the plant and throwing it on the ground infront of his feet.
"No...no, no!" Said Dr. Radcliffe, scrambling to his feet. "Impossible! How could you find us?? How could anyone find us?!" "Rawlin told me he had Talon Industries plant a tracking device into every raven's phone, back a few months ago when the raven phones were created." Crexar explained, getting out his axe and double-bladed vengious. "Figuring out why you'd left with the plans, Rawlin hired me to get them again." "Go, Eglor!!" Radcliffe said desperately, but it was too late; even as his friend attempted to fly away with the blueprints, Crexar plugged chi and pounced on the eagle. Radcliffe plugged his remaining chi orb and pulled his handgun out of his dark lab coat. As Crexar tried to wrestle the plans out of Eglor's grasp, Radcliffe shot Crexar in the back with a laser blast. Crexar roared, spun around, and lunged at Radcliffe. Before Radcliffe could stop it, Crexar opened his mouth, turned his head sideways, and clamped down on Radcliffe's torso. Radcliffe tried desperately to free himself from the crocodile's jaws, until Eglor grabbed Crexar by the tail and pulled him back. Eglor threw Crexar to the ground. Eglor picked the plans back up, but before the two birds could fly away, Crexar charged, hitting both of them at once. Eglor was struck by the axe in Crexar's left hand (Eglor, who didn't have chi in his harness, was knocked unconscious by this), while Radcliffe was struck by the sword in Crexar's right. Crexar stooped down to pick the plans up in his mouth. "Time to finish the job." He said, only to hear something beside him. Crexar spun around just in time to see Radcliffe, who'd gotten up and grabbed his blaster. Crexar wasn't fast enough to prevent his axe from being blasted out of his hand, but he deflected the rest of the shots with his vengious as he charged at Radcliffe again. Before Radcliffe could ascend into the air, Crexar sliced his blaster in two with his chi-powered sword-spear. Radcliffe was able to knock the vengious out of Crexar's hand, and the two chi-powered beings engaged in a fistfight, beating each other up. But as their fight continued, Radcliffe and Crexar saw a shadow looming over them.
Rawlin, who'd eventually lost his patience, had ordered the MMSC to be taken on a test run. The MMSC had been loaded with eighty missiles, and that many didn't even fill half the battle station. Now, as Rawlin stood inside the command station, a skeleton crew of ravens operated the flying sub-HQ. Rawlin looked out a large window as the pilots tracked Radcliffe's signal, which was still in the Outland Mountains. The MMSC now hovered above the Hollow, its shadow covering the place. Rawlin looked down through the window. He saw about ten to twenty predator plants scattered around, Crexar and Radcliffe, the MMSC plans, and an unconscious eagle. "I see what you were trying to do, Radcliffe..." Rawlin whispered. "Sir, what now?" Asked a raven at a control computer. "Fire all the available missiles at the Hollow." Rawlin ordered. "Destroy the place in its entirety." "All of them??" Asked another raven at another computer station. "We're going to waste all the missiles we have so far?" "Waste?" Asked Rawlin, turning to the raven. "I beg to differ; this will be a perfect opportunity to test the MMSC's capabilities." "But...head scientist Dr. Radcliffe is down there, sir." Said another raven. "He betrayed me." Rawlin said. "Radcliffe's punishment will come swiftly." "But what about the bounty hunter we hired down there?" Asked another raven. "Yes? What about him?" Asked Rawlin, turning to that raven. "I do not need Crexar anymore, and we were certainly never allies." Rawlin turned to a commander. "You may fire at will, commander." Rawlin said. "Yes, sir." Said the commander. The ravens launched the eighty missiles at the Hollow.
Rawlin and Crexar looked up, momentarily stopping their fistfight as the MMSC above rained imminent destruction down on them. Destroyed by my own creation. Thought Radcliffe. I suppose it is fitting. Nevertheless, Radcliffe did try to make one last escape attempt as the missiles destroyed predator plants and the earth all around. But as Radcliffe and Crexar both scrambled frantically to escape the destruction, each realized that he had been a pawn for Rawlin, and that his purpose in Rawlin's plan had been served.
Eglor, who had woken up, also tried to fly out of the storm of destruction, forgetting about the MMSC plans in the process. All that mattered to Eglor at that moment was his own escape. However, no matter how smart, scientifically skilled, and capable eagles were, one ability they didn't have was super speed.
It was done. The eighty missiles had all been launched. Rawlin, satisfied, looked through the window at the mushroom cloud explosion where the Hollow had been. Crexar and Radcliffe were destroyed, along with the only eagle who knew of the MMSC's existence, and the MMSC plans themselves. Now no other tribe could build a Mobile Missile Strike Command, and the eagles wouldn't see the war coming. Rawlin would of course require a couple years of preparation (not to mention lots of vehicle and missile manufacturing) before he could fulfill his "destiny" of destroying the eagles, but it would of course be worth it. "Let's return to Raven HQ, shall we?" Said Rawlin. "Yes, sir." Said a pilot quietly, as the MMSC turned around in the sky and went back south.
Lyrix faced a dilemma; he and Lycor were both likely to reach the rank of Lion Field Marshal. Lyrix needed to make sure he reached the rank and not Lycor, so Lyrix could put his plans of future dominion into play. As the 3ic of the lion tribe, Lyrix would have the power to destroy Rica, Rex, Razalac, and anyone else in Chima he had a problem with. Through a series of orchestrated events, Lyrix could persuade King Lionel to wage war on the Wings Row Monarchy and Talon Industries. Lyrix could lead the Lion Army in destroying both raven factions and fixing his problems. Lyrix's experiences involving the MMSC plans had changed him; no longer a dedicated lion soldier, Lyrix now put himself first. Ever since betraying the lion tribe in secret seven months ago, Lyrix had learned not to trust anyone, including his allies, who could betray him at any time if for their own benefit. Lyrix, who was now only truly loyal to himself, had learned from his experiences, and had taken measures to never ally himself with anyone as an equal. Indeed, all of General Lyrix's current allies were his underlings; through blackmail, secret deals, and false promises, Lyrix had used the last several months to build up a small shadow force of corrupt lion soldiers. The soldiers were secretly loyal to Lyrix first and foremost, and would carry out his bidding whenever he had deals or conflicts with the criminal underworld of Chima (which Lyrix had become involved in so he could gain illegal weapons that would give him an edge in his planned wars). Surprisingly, Lyrix had allied himself with corrupt crocodiles (many of which respected him because Lyrix destroyed Corok), so he now had many informants within the croc tribe. His informants updated Lyrix on the current state of the croc tribe, its monarchy, and its military, as well as smuggling him croc weapons and tech. This was because Lyrix hoped to become close allies with the Crocodile tribe in his war with the ravens. Lyrix hoped King Crogall felt the same about allying. But of course, Lyrix's wars, plans, and conspiracies could never come to completion unless Lyrix made sure he became the Lion Field Marshal. There was no reason for Lycor to not reach the rank, so Lyrix eventually decided that there was only one way to prevent Lycor's ascension and ensure that Lyrix ranked up; he'd have to frame his cousin for a crime that would get him exiled.
On the second day of the year, Lycor had been walking beneath the Lion Temple's drawbridge, when a heavy object was suddenly dropped on his head, and he blacked out. When Lycor woke up, a huge golden chi orb was on the ground next to him, and a broken security camera was on his other side. Before he could react, Lycor was found by shocked lion guards, and in a couple hours he was standing in the throne room of the Lion Temple, surrounded by guards. King Lionel sat in his throne, looking at Lycor, while a lion judge stood next to the throne and read from a scroll. "The laws of the Lion Tribe, which we have held sacred for generations, hereby decree that General Lycor, descendant of Lion Army founder Lyron, shall face punishment for the attempted theft of a golden chi orb; Exile from the tribes of Chima." Lycor was silent. He knew there was no point in protesting, as there was no evidence to prove his innocence. As far as any lion knew, Lycor stole the golden chi, ripped the security camera out of the wall, and erased the video feed from the computers, only to be caught by guards on his way out of the city. The lions had done an investigation, but found no evidence of anyone other than Lycor stealing the golden chi. "I will accept the punishment." Lycor finally said, looking at the king. "But your Majesty, I will someday return to this floor, and prove my innocence. I was framed for this crime, and I will somehow find evidence." "I believe you, Lycor." Said King Lionel as he got up from the throne and Lycor gave him his chi harness sash and shield. "But for now, there is no evidence to point to your innocence, so you must leave our city until the day we find the true culprit, if it really isn't you." "I understand." Said Lycor, nodding his head and walking out of the temple with an escort of guards. The guards turned around and returned to the temple as Lycor walked across the bridge, down the stairs, and out into the plains. The one thing Lycor still had was the broken security camera, which he'd secretly taken. If there was any footage still in the camera itself, Lycor would fix the camera, and prove his innocence to the Lion Tribe.
