Well, there's a new trailer for the movie. It kinda spoils a lot though. What I will say, is that this movie is definitely for comedy. I highly doubt it's canon.
I forgot to mention before, but I actually prefer the animation of The LEGO Ninjago Movie over the Ninjago TV show, mainly cause of the brick-built backgrounds and city.
I agree on the comedy part. The second trailer seemed to show a little more caring on both sides of the family, and the looks are kinda growing on me. I think the green eyes are the main thing that bothers me. I don't care for the fact that Misako's and Lord Garmadon's backstory isn't really the same as the T.V. show. Also, it looked like the Ninja attended some sort of school. I don't know how to feel about that yet.
I agree with you on the sets and such, too.
After seeing the second trailer, I think I've become a little interested in seeing it. I still think they should followed the T.V. show a little better towards the looks and such though.

I personally prefer the TV show. The secret super hero / school kid story feels very cleshe. Not to say this isn't a good story to itself, I just remember one of the reasons I fell in love (metaphorically) with Ninjago was it didn't follow that trope despite how easy they could have done it. It was very uniqe, this feels done before. Follow?
My head cannon is this is the Ninjago MOVIE, aka in universe movie. Like, in real Ninjago this would be a film based off the Ninja. Kinda like the film at the end of Chicken Little.
I don't think the movie is canon. The story is so off. Anyway the new trailer Misako (or Coco in the movie) reveals the story of how Garmadon and her met, which is different than the show, but Wu says he was a ninja. Now I'm kinda confused about all this. Then there were other similar scenes to before.
The movie is its own cannon, as the creators stated. Basically an AU for the cinema, not tied to the actual show what so ever. (What I REALLY want is for them to mention it in the show as an actual movie and the "ninja" in Cinamajago are actually actors.)

*Is happy because a Mod posted on one of my topics.*
Anyway, I know what you mean... because I agree.
Yeah, except, I've never seen the end of Chicken Little.

{JAMMERS!}Basically it ends with the characters watching a movie that Hollywood made about themselves. But it was COMPLETELY innacurate to historical events, but still cool. (Much like this movie. XD)
Thanks. Made them myself. Also opened up an avatar shop for custom LEGO themed avitars! It's in LEGO General.

That's good. I don't know what to think about the Ninja going to high school, but I guess it's alright. We'll just have to see how they implement it into the story.
Nice.
Maybe. Particularly on Jay and Nya's hair. All the other characters look alright, I think.

Ah, I see. I agree with you on the story of the TV show. It was unique and I haven't had seen anything like it before.
That would make sense. I was also thinking that it was kinda like The LEGO Movie where everything that happened was in the eyes of a 6 year old boy who was just playing with his LEGO toys in real life, which would really emphasize that the movie isn't canon and completely "fan-made" (But the fan in this case is actually in the movie).

Agreed!
I'd personally LOVE to see a crossover where the real Ninja at least accnolage Cinamajago like saying how "the actors got them wrong" or that it was a nice movie, etc. XD
Also it would confirm my head cannon and fan stories where Unikitty is a famous actress.

Lol. Just a little hint that the two worlds know of each other's existence. I guess it would, but that would mean it would work for Batman as well cause on of the collectible minifigures has a Batman shirt on, just like how Unikitty is on N-Pop girl's shirt.

Well, uh, i dunno what this is is but uh, i guess something tells me this movie won't be so good.

Yeah, same. I think when we go see it, I'll mainly be there for the plot.
Lol.
I thought Jay looked kinda cute. Lloyd's eyes are a little weird though.

Same here, but also for the LEGO as well for me.
I guess Jay is alright. It's just the hairpieces are quite different from the show and it took me a while to get used to it. And Lloyd's eyes might be a little strange, but I kind of think of it as part of his Ninja powers.

True, I guess. It's probably the same with everyone.
