To me, it seems more like a "Comedy" movie, than like the show. The voice actors throw the thing off, too. My brother is speculating that it will be a good movie, but I not sure.
The T.V. show includes drama in it, but not on the same level if the movie does, at all.
I mean, it shows that Garmadon doesn't remember Lloyd that well. I mean, the telephone scene, for crying out loud! Where as, in the show, he didn't really want to destroy his son. (If anyone remembers...)
Oh well. That's my opinion. We're probably going to go see it anyway.
I guess it's more of a comedy movie. I don't know if it is canon, but I think the whole movie was made for all audiences, including those who will be introduced to Ninjago for the very first time. That's also why they got more recognizable voice actors (such as Jackie Chan for Sensei Wu). I'm actually quite surprised how many of my friends (who don't know what Ninjago is and/or haven't played with LEGO for years) are actually interested in this movie.
I would hope it at least has a good plot. I don't really have high hopes for it being better than The LEGO Movie, The LEGO Batman Movie, or Disney movies, but I think it'll be a fun movie and I'm still going to go watch it.
Other than that, the LEGO sets for it are absolutely amazing. They look more like custom creations and less like toys.

At least you did.
I never heard of that actor, actually.
Same. I just wish they kinda kept it to the actually T.V. show.
I haven't seen them yet. Well, that's normal for me, though.

Lol.
Interesting. You've never heard of Jackie Chan? He's mainly in movies with lots of martial arts though.
It would be great if they stuck to the TV show. Unfortunately, it would force all the other audiences to catch up on 7 seasons of episodes.
I think that at the end of the movie, you will hear someone say cut, that's a rap! And then you see the ninja take off there masks and it is revealed that the original ninja were just acting. That would be funny.
Well, there's a new trailer for the movie. It kinda spoils a lot though. What I will say, is that this movie is definitely for comedy. I highly doubt it's canon.
I forgot to mention before, but I actually prefer the animation of The LEGO Ninjago Movie over the Ninjago TV show, mainly cause of the brick-built backgrounds and city.

If it's canon, I will refuse to look at my Lego ever again.

Oh... you still need to look at your Lego to synergize it!
I don't think the movie is canon. The story is so off. Anyway the new trailer Misako (or Coco in the movie) reveals the story of how Garmadon and her met, which is different than the show, but Wu says he was a ninja. Now I'm kinda confused about all this. Then there were other similar scenes to before.
