So, I wanted to post a story I've worked on for a while. I originally published it on the gallery over on the main site, but since the gallery has stopped moderating, I stopped posting and I wanted to move my story over here. Just a quick note: I've noticed that not many stories over here on the MB Stories forum don't get much attention. I saw one, "Virus Wars", that looked pretty interesting! You should really give some attention to it! Anyway, The Power Within is a story about a girl who has something special about her that no one else she knows has, and this becomes a problem for her when a doctor puts her in semi-solitary confinement. That's pretty much the whole of the summary I'm gonna give you. Oh, here's a warning: This is a thrilling story, so every chapter will end in some sort of cliffhanger. Beware, readers! I'll post the first chapter soon. Stay tuned!
I'm just like any other 13-year-old girl, I'm a completely normal person, just hear me out! I shouldn't have turned that key…
I was going on a hike with my family - my mom, my dad, my older brother, and my little sister, who's four years younger than me. We were walking along a long, narrow trail in the woods and I got bored of doing nothing but walking. After a few more minutes of walking, I noticed a key was lying on the ground, next to a rock. I picked it up, curious old me, and I examined it. It was a normal sized key, rusted gray, but it had a very strange, eerie feeling about it. "Where's the door?" I thought. I looked around but I still found nothing. Then I had a simple idea. "Hey, mom, dad, can I skip ahead? We're going a bit slow and I want more adventure." I asked, trying to sound convincing. "Sure, honey. Just stay safe, alright?" My mom smiled. "Yeah, of course." I said, not worrying about much. "I'm gonna head off. See you soon!" I sprinted along the trail and explored the area. The trees grew a bit taller, the grass, too, and it became more quiet. More, larger rocks were around the area. I was still holding the key in my hand, looking around for a door, but what I found was not a door. It was a keyhole, imbedded into the ground, placed in a suspiciously clear area, with the grass cut short and no flowers around the area. I kneeled next to the keyhole, pushed the key in, and turned the key. When I released the key, a small tunnel opened up. It was dark, but light enough to see a small part in. I walked down, practically sliding, and I heard a tumble of something behind me. I turned around and found rocks about half the size of a twin bed rolling down at me. I was knocked over and I hit my head against another rock and I was knocked unconscious, fighting to stay awake. I heard my mom's voice. "What was tha- Sweetie! Oh…" I heard nothing after that. I woke up in a hospital bed crossed with a dentist bed. It had a headrest, armrests, and it could recline. I looked around the room and saw everyone in my family but my older brother sitting down. Doctors were doing stuff on me, but I couldn't tell what. I felt a sharp pain in my body that grew more and more painful as time went by. After a minute, it felt horrible. "Ow… Make it stop…" I groaned. The pain grew much worse after that. "Stop it!" I yelled out. It felt like the more I spoke, or did anything, really, it would grow even worse. "MAKE IT STOP!" I think I yelled a bit too loud, because a doctor with a smooth, silky voice walked in. "Is this the patient we found in the forest?" He asked another doctor. "Yes, she is." The other doctor replied. "Inject her with the sleeping concoction." The silky voiced doctor ordered. That's when I noticed, through the blinding pain, that the other doctor was coming toward me with a needle and a tube, both connected together. The other doctor lightly pushed the needle into my skin, and I began feeling very sleepy. I tried to fight it, but I failed and fell asleep.
That's it for today! I plan on posting everyday, so expect another chapter tomorrow. I have about 8 chapters already written, so that means there'll be a week's worth of chapters. Stay tuned! Ciao!

Hey, here's the second chapter! I hope you enjoy it! ^-^
I woke up in a prison-like room, with gray, stone walls and iron bars keeping me from getting out. I was lying down on an almost comfortable bed with a small monitor-sized pillow and no blankets. I was wearing a gray jumpsuit and I had a tight French braid in my hair. Across the room was a girl in an outfit just like mine and she had blonde hair in a long, normal braid. "Hello." She called to me from across the eight-foot room. "Uh… Hi…" I looked around. "Where are we?" "In the place for… well… us." She sighed quietly and I looked at her skeptically. "What are you talking about?" I asked. "Well, this is the place for us. For freaks, weirdoes, strangers, whatever they call us." She looked down at her feet. "Who's 'they'?" I wanted answers if I was gonna be stuck here for who knows how long. "And what am I… or we?" "The doctors. They test us and keep us locked here. I think they're scared of us." She looked back up. "We are… Well, you'll see. For example, I can break walls and turn invisible." I didn't know what she was talking about until I heard the silky voice nearby. A few guards came with him down the hall and he unlocked the door to the cell and the guards pulled me out and he shut the door. The guards dragged me down the hall. There were a few other cells with people in them, but I was dragged too quickly to see their faces. The guards took me down a few halls, took a few turns, and dragged me into a gym-sized room about fifty feet tall with the ceiling made of glass and doctors or scientists looking down at me in chairs and clipboards in their hands. They walked out and shut the door, but the silky voiced man stayed. "Hello, Alexa. Let's see what you can do, shall we?" When he said this, a bullet came at me from behind, going miles an hour at my head. My instincts kicked in and I flung my arms up, covering my face in a vertical, parallel way. It seemed unnatural that I would do this, but when I moved my arms a little bit apart, I saw there was a shield around me, made out of energy. The bullet hit the shield and bounced off the surface. I pulled my arms down and the shield disappeared. Then an extremely large rock was dropped from above me, falling quickly. My instincts told me to run, but I couldn't. I knew the boulder was too large for me to run away from, so I knew the only way to survive was to use whatever powers I had. I concentrated hard on the falling rock, imagining it stopping in air, and I put my hands out like when I see in movies when people use telekinesis. To my huge surprise, the boulder stopped in midair and I was able to control it using my mind. I put my hands down and I was still able to move the boulder. After it was a foot off the ground, I stopped my concentration on it and I got a horrible migraine. I fell to the ground, putting a hand on the side of my head, but I got back up when I saw guards coming at me. They grabbed me and dragged me back to the cell where I saw the girl with blonde hair, lying down in her bed. "What's your name?" I asked the girl when I got back in the cell. "Lina." She answered casually. "You?" "Um… I'm Alexa." I replied. "Okay. So, what'd you learn?" She was now sitting on her bed rather than laying down. I was doing the same. "I learned that I can easily get headaches from trying." I groaned. I still had the headache from the day earlier. Lina laughed. "What else?" "Well, I have some sort of power that I can move objects with my mind…" I wracked my brain to remember what happened. Even though it happened minutes earlier, with the headache I had, I could barely think. "I can also… What is it?" She remembered putting her arms up. "Oh, yes, I can also create a shield of energy." "Oh, that's interesting." She looked at the floor. "Have you ever considered leaving this place?" "Do you know how hard I've tried? I can barely bend a spoon, at this point." She sighed. I could tell something happened. "What do you mean?" "They make it so we can't use our abilities in these rooms." She looked up. "But how?" "They make us drink something with some sort of poison…" Lina looked outside the cell. "Did you drink it yet?" "No… Maybe I could use one of my powers?" I thought aloud. "But my abilities can't do much… I can move things with my head and make a shield. What good is that?" I sighed. "You could try doing something different." She suggested. "Like, using the mind moving power to pull apart the bars. That could work." "That gives me a headache, you know." I glared at her. "What were you lifting, though?" She asked. "A boulder about the size of a bunk bed." "That makes sense." She looked at me. "Try the bars." "Are you kidding me?" I glared at her again. "Nope. It's either that or we're stuck in here for good." "You-- Ugh, fine." I didn't have time to argue, and I didn't know when the silky-voiced doctor would realize I could use my powers. I concentrated hard on the iron bars and put my hands out to imagine pulling apart the bars. When I used my hands and acted as if I had the bars in my hands and pulled outwards, the bars slowly opened up. That's when the guards and the doctor came to our cell.
So, how'd you like this chapter? I know it was a little long, but this is how long I expect my chapters to be.
Interesting, It's definitely a less used theme that you chose. I like it so far. And I see you have human character perspectives instead of lego figure perspectives.
